There are quite a few people on here that say Mattel should do this or this is what I would do so here's the big question? What would you do? If you had Steve's job what would you do first? Let's try to keep it as realistic as possible. First thing I would do is walk into my boss's office with a paper with all the legend names we need. I don't care if it's my boss at Mattel or if I need to march into Triple H's office, I would slam my paper on their desk and say " look, if you want me to do the best job that I can do then I need those names of that sheet of paper, give me the legends we need or I'm walking". I think a direct approach like that would open the big guys eyes just how important the legend market is and perhaps then we would get Sting, Flair, The Killer Bees and maybe The Midnight Express as well.

Mattel is a multi-million dollar company. Steve, and you, will do whatever his and your boss tells you to do. As your boss has a boss, that boss has a boss, that boss had a boss, and that boss has a boss. You have zero power. Steve, and you, are Mattel peons. Your only option would be to find the head of planning/marketing/budget and ask them if there is any room for one new name. If they say yes, you'll go make a powerpoint presentation for said low-ranking boss and tell them why this Legend will help make his boss's boss's boss's boss some profit.

Oh I understand that profits need to be made, maybe fire a few nxt people and give that money to Sting, Flair and The Road Warriors estate. I'm just sayiing sometimes the direct approach is the way to go sometimes, when I told my manager at jcpenny that some of the other workers were taking longer breaks than normal then a meeting was held about the break policy which led to people not abusing their break time. |

The first thing we would need to know is what exactly is Steve's job. None of us here know exactly what he does.
Being a Legends collector the main thing Id push for would be WWE to let the company sign lesser known legends that they have no desire to put on a legends deal but are still in good standing with the company. Allow us (Mattel) to foot the bill for 1 year deals on guys like Bad News Brown, Haku, Barbarian, Koko B. Ware, Killer Bees, Ragu Sisters, Power & Glory etc

I would ask to be fired because I’d be in way over my head. Steve knows what he’s doing and he shouldn’t be replaced by me on account of not meeting the standards of some guy. He’s the right person for the job. Now, if he were to reach out and ask me if I’d like to switch places with him for a day, this is what I’d do: Say no.

When you have certain talents under contract to make that are highly popular (rvd, angle, dudley boys) go all out and don't look back. They definitely learned this from hogan. They have definitely gave us 3 good rvds the last few years but rvd should be someone that should have at least 10 elites by now.
