I hope so would love to see him in a 4 pack with the usual suspects Don't believe WWE holds the rights to the movie The Usual Suspects either. Could be wrong tho.

Vince is gone and different people now work behind the scenes so it's a shame if a bridge can't be mended. The Rock was Owens friend and he's now on the board. It's a completely different place compared to 1999.
Always wondered what Bret's opinion is, would he allow WWE to honour Owen?
Also his Jazzware figure sucks.

Tbf, his heads are a lot better than the kenny dykstras in singlets we see.

Something I don't see getting brought up is the Owen Hart documentary and collection WWE did in 2015, but Martha won't let WWE make a dime off of them?

Apparently Bret pushed hard for Owen to be placed in the WWE Hall of Fame.... but Martha wouldn't allow it. According to an article that I read, it caused quite a rift in Bret's relationship with Martha.

The thing is, when you get married your wife carries all of the rights to you. Unless someone makes a will or something, your family doesn't get any say after you pass.
Bret can try until hes blue in the face, (and I'm sure he has) but he legally can't. Which is unfortunate for his wrestling fans, but it is what it is.

Been a long time since I saw it but I remember an interview around the time of its release where bret says it sucked cos it had no home / behind the scenes type stuff or pre wwe stuff I don’t think.

If WWE really cared about Owen Hart's legacy, they could release their claim to video and his likeness during his time there 🤷

I did see a skilled customizer repaint one of those Owen heads, and it was mind-blowing. The sculpts are really good but the paint applications are lousy.

No one knows of course but Never say Never
Bill miekina said "NEVER" about Razor and look how many razors we have now
Id say its still unlikely anytime soon but the odds are better with vince gone. Maybe only 2% better but its slightly better.
It would be a great day for collectors if Mattel ever got the rights to owen

For those just wanting a Matty, that's a whole other thing.

They killed him and she has spent the last several decades trying to prevent them from making any money off of his name. She will never change her stance and her children feel the same way.

I don't care what anyone says they can deny it all they want but I still guarantee that that cancelled defining moments years ago was owen everything adds up
it was around the same exact time frame that the dvd was released of him so mattel thought they had the green light and could make a figure while keeping it hush hush and trying to surprise everyone with the huge announcement of it but then quickly removed him from the line because they realized that they couldn't release him due to the rights of him being only video footage use allowed so.
plus that also explains all the slammy awards that was included in the basics for 3 or 4 series they needed to get some use out of the new tooling from them.

Pretty sure it was Jericho. Unclear when it was shown but I know Y2J has a lot of time off away from the company throughout his run with WWE or times when he came back but only worked house shows. So I can many instances where Mattel started working on his figure only to be told to scrap it. And I believe it’s been hinted at by either Bill or Steve it was him.

There was a point where 2k thought Owen could be in 2k16 before he had to be removed. I think there may have been some confusion around this time and these companies thought they had access to Owen after the dvd www.reddit.com/r/SquaredCircle/comments/3s1xlt/owen_hart_was_definitely_cut_from_wwe_2k16/

Some things are more important than action figures. Owen's death wasn't Vince's fault.... it was due to negligence on the part of WWE. Faulty rigging from an incompetent rigging company that WWE contracted to implement an un-necessary and ill-prepared stunt. Vince being gone won't have anything to do with this; Here are Martha's thoughts on the Hall of Fame. Sounds like once WWE makes a real Hall of Fame, she might reconsider. Sounds like she would like to see Owen be shown and praised then just a one day show. I thought I saw recently of WWE building something like that in Dubai.

Yeah she didn’t want that dvd coming out but can’t stop them from using their tape library, they paid the obligated royalties so there was nothing she could do
