I am not comfortable saying the dollar amount I paid for SES Punk. It was...substantial. But I will say that it was a grail for me and the opportunity was there, so I took it. I would do it again in a heartbeat.

This thread isn’t going to end well. Classic response. Just bringing the matches hoping to start the fire... How is this not considered trolling? Anyway, to give a productive response, I would say anything that is exclusive to Walmart. I purchased almost every Ruthless Aggression elite from Paul Mart. I luckily found 4 in person, but the rest were online exclusives to me. I had somebody from the norther part of the state find Eddie for me, I saw UE RVD and passed on it like a dumbass and haven't seen it since. Im gonna try my best to preorder Eddie and Mankind this Friday but I don't love my odds.

If it's worth it to you, I wouldn't consider it being scalped. I paid $80 for the Ultimate Edition RA RVD. It was worth it because I never saw him in stores. I paid $60 or $70 for Elite 48 Cactus Jack. Again, worth it. And for the record, I'm not a scalper. The only time I've sold figures is when I regrettably sold my collection, twice. Took a loss both times. You're not wrong, for me it stings paying more than retail but if it's something I really want I'll do it. I've never regretted it but it's not fun watching my balance to down you know I agree that it can sting, but sometimes the hunt can be exhausting: the endless, fruitless travels, coming up short again and again. It can be a relief just to pull that eBay trigger.

The MNW line could end up being a pain though if the first couple waves are any indication.

I was one of the few that was able to actually get an order in for the SDCC Sarge, but I never got the figure because Mattel shipped me a Hot Wheels Jeep instead.

Did mattel do anything to rectify the issue? They told me to send the Jeep back and then they would send me a Sarge if they had any left. I told them no, I'll send the Jeep back after you send the stuff I ordered. I never got the figure. I ended up disputing the transaction through my credit card and sold the Jeep on eBay for a pretty decent amount lol

Paid $5 more on Ringside’s eBay page than what the price was on their actual site. I felt sort of ripped off and it was too late to cancel.

Most I ever spent on a figure is probably Elite 16 Nash. Paid 65 for it moc. In 2014? Never paid 100 for a figure.

What defines “being scalped”? My definition would be paying considerably more than retail on a limited or hard to find item but id imagine it varies from collector to collector

If retail is $24.97 and someone is asking $50… is that scalping? I would consider double retail scalping. I don't consider it that loaded of a term, you kinda just know it when you see it you know.

I don't consider it that loaded of a term, you kinda just know it when you see it you know. See, that’s where we differ. After shipping and fees, that seller is maybe walking away with a $10 profit… if that. To me, scalping is about the quantity being sold. If someone is clearing the pegs/shelves to turn around and sell them. Occasionally, I’d consider triple the amount. That $25 figure being sold for $60-70 is “scalping”.

I paid £70 (Around $90) for the RSC Exclusive Pink & Black Attack Bret Hart off of eBay. I'd previously owned it, sold it, and regretted it.
A week or two later, the Target UE of that very figure was revealed. Ate the bullet on that one.

I generally stubbornly refuse to buy from scalpers. If I missed out on a figure and return literal years later, that's fine.
If you drive from store to store and buy up entire stock and list them on Facebook for triple the price, I just don't buy it.
Living in Canada, my only option to get Ultimate Eddie was to pay $100.
