I don't equate this question with paying higher prices for older figures, exclusives, chases, etc. Most I've ever paid for a single wrestling figure is $240
That said, Paul store or RSC markup would be the only instance of paying more for a new mass release.
Having stuff "first" is alright I guess but I ain't paying double retail or more for some mass release I'll find within two weeks

I got Chief Jay for $700-something. In hindsight, seems like an absolute steal cause I've seen them go for over 2K. On a more normal level, I end up overpaying for any of the Walmart exclusives I want for both the WWE and AEW lines. My Walmarts are like the worst in the country and it's just worth the extra $10-15 or so to never have to deal with stepping foot in those stores ever again. That Strongbow figure is a complete mystery to me, I get it's rare but I can't fathom shilling out 2 grand for any figure. Shame that figure will never come out though, id imagine it also means Wahoo McDaniel is a no-go for Mattel I think Wahoo McDaniel is still a possibility (assuming they ever somehow get the rights to his likeness) because he was legitimately Native American, whereas the controversy surrounding Chief Jay Strongbow is that he was Italian American who only portrayed a Native American in wrestling. I think there was a list released a while back of all the wrestlers who Powertown Wrestling had signed already and IIRC Wahoo was on it for what it’s worth

Well according to the WalMart app he’s supposed to be here in two days, but it hasn’t shipped yet. (It has been delayed at least once already) That's what my order says. I did order kind of late, but at least I have a chance. I thought everyone had theirs already and Walmart was just keeping the order active. Walmart actually shipped RVD. There's been a few times when I canceled my preorder and ordered in stock because they weren't shipping my original order.

I'm a big Roddy Piper fan so spent £50 to import the They Live figure from the Hollywood range. I can now pick up same figure for £15 in Smyths in the U.K. who have tons of them

I paid $30 for RA3 Torrie Wilson on eBay. My Walmart never got that series in. To be fair most of it was covered with an eBay gift card my sister's family got me for Christmas. I paid $50 for the TRU Mailaway Vince McMahon when RSC got them in. That's the most I ever spent on a figure

That seller 99% made nothing off of the sell, unless he fenced it to you.

A couple years ago I got Doink and Alondra Blayne for around $50 and Razor for under $40 from the Flashback Elite heartbreak hotel series. And was really itchy to complete it so i could build the hotel set but i ended up spending $80 on a MOC Shawn. I’m a mostly loose collector and i don’t open sets with build a figures until i find the whole set, but after almost spending more on Shawn than i did on the other 3 figures combined, i couldn’t ever bring myself to open them so i still have them all MOC.

Literally every single figure i've ever bought online Buying in Australia sucks. My Razor/HBK 2-pack pre-order got cancelled due to a payment issue, and now i can only find them for $130+... Don't even get me started on trying to find a decent price for the Ultimate RVD. I want you to know that on FB, I made a comment about how horrible it is to be a US collector of a UK figure line, only for my one friend who lives in your neck of the woods to reply with "*Cries in Australia*" It's bad enough that if I want to get a fodder body, just a *fodder body* for my Doctor Who customs, I usually end up paying 20 dollars shipping. For one loose figure. I couldn't imagine being over there and doing that nonsense for every single online figure ever.

Not counting chases and rares, most I ever paid for a regular figure was about $120 for Elite 71 Big Show a couple years ago. I've paid a bunch for figures on secondary over the years, especially because I got back into WWE collecting late and I don't have places to buy exclusives locally, but that Big Show was probably the worst hit I've ever taken.

I'm a bit stunned a big show figure fetched that much in the first place. The good news for you I suppose is that it looks like it held its value

I wouldn't even be mad, I know there are so dang many people who missed out on that figure that wanted him, if that figure could somehow get remade, I'd be all for it. Heck I'd probably buy another just for the updated joints.

I have no reason to believe AEW will pay them as much just to have them in behind the scenes roles or for their merch as WWE will

But I really do hope they come back, Christian too. Adam said the whole point was to retire with Christian right? If they are done together, imagine if they were to both sign WWE Legends deals together. Seeing as how there's really not much for AEW to do as far as legends contracts goes, it would make sense for them to go back to WWE, but didn't someone once say Legends deals don't pay much? I guess we'll have to wait and see. I'm sure WWE would love to have Sting back at the very least.

I know he likes to spend money but I don't think he'd like to spend money for literally no return, if they can't do surfer sting or other crow stings they'll run out of merch. Same for the other guys

I paid $39.99 for a chase Paul Bearer out of the bay. So far i think that is the most expensive figure i have ever bought.

I think the rules are you can’t post a link, but the Sandman 111 is currently going for $128 & the bid’s not even over…
That seller is the worse. There’s another one on eBay, but it looks like it’s scamming people regularly. They’ll just say the item wasn’t available & relist it. SOS is the handle.
