I've been meaning to ask this question for awhile now. Seeing as so many people on here are legends only, I was wondering just HOW many people on here are legends only and how many people collect current roster talent along with their legends.

I collect both. Figure current wrestlers will eventually be the Legend wrestlers anyway. 25 years from now people will be excited when Roman, Cody, and Seth are announced as part of the Legends line.

I collect both. Figure current wrestlers will eventually be the Legend wrestlers anyway. 25 years from now people will be excited when Roman, Cody, and Seth are announced as part of the Legends line. Didn't Cody initially debut during the Ruthless Aggression era? Because most people seem to consider that to be the end of the "Flashback" era, so yeah. Couldn't Cody sort of already fall under the umbrella of, er, Legacy talent? I dunno, it sort of is like how they released a (thinly veiled) TNA Styles figure. I don't think most people would consider that strictly a "current roster" figure. It's definitely a flashback. Also, by definition, John Cena is still on the current roster, even though he only shows up once a year or so. But he's literally in the Legends line. Same with Rey. Rey is a legend, and in the HOF, but is current roster. R-Truth has been around forever, on and off, but I think putting him in the legends line would be a stretch, unless they randomly felt like making a K-Kwik figure. And if you want to get REALLY technical, if there was some impossible way to get a figure out of Kevin (Steen) Owens as an indie rookie, that figure would chronologically predate the debut Cena legends figure. But finding people who would consider Kevin Owens worthy of the Legends line would be a pretty tough task, despite the fact that he started wrestling during the Attitude Era. There's essays upon essays and so much debate that could be had as to what constitutes a legend now, that I don't think anyone could ever come to an agreement.

Nope. I used to, until I realized it was a waste of money. I was collecting just to pile up figures. Then I had a realization and just started to sell off my collection. I narrowed it down to the era I enjoyed the most which was the Monday Night Wars era, sprinkled in with some characters I’ve enjoyed too like ra Jeff Hardy. I now feel much happier and still to some extent feel like I got too many figures.

Modern wrestlers I don’t pass on… Cody Orton Ciampa Balor Rollins Miz (I don’t think I passed on any of his elites) Dirty Dom (seems like he is becoming one. lol)
Then there’s others that if I like the figure I’ll pick it up. Or if it’s someone I feel like they entertained me enough on a weekly basis to earn a space on my shelves then I might buy one of them. Example of the latter being the Bloodline members. Before late last year I didn’t have any Usos in my collection until the SS Jey and matiching E9(?) Jimmy. But now I have all the Bloodline in all matching red gear. So in the last 6 months I have bought two Jey and Jimmy figures. But there been plenty of series I didn’t buy anyone in unless there was a FB I wanted in it.
I guess it’s still basically the same rules I have collecting the Legends. And that’s simply anything pre-March ‘90 if I see them and a memory pops into my head of a moment of watching them with my dad or just reminding me of my dad I buy them. Classic example is the Legends 2-Pack Bushwackers. I wasn’t a big fan of theirs but the moment I saw them on the shelves at TRU it reminded me of how my dad would try to embarrass me in front of my friends by marching around the house like them or grabbing be in a headlock and licking my head like they used to do to each other. And right away I had a smile on my face and they were an instant purchase.
Anything after March ‘90 the wrestler whose figure is in question has to have been entertaining to me. If I didn’t/don’t find the entertaining in real life then I don’t need them on my shelves. So I guess I have the same philosophy with the modern guys.

I still watch wrestling, so I collect both current and legends, I also have some AEW figures. If I could afford to I would be a completionist. At the moment I just have to get what I can when I can.

Nah only some of the guys I used to watch on the indies (before they were "famous"). I like to get their figures. Bought Damien Priest a while back...
And if I need to buy them for a Build-A-Figure I'll end up with some modern guys. But none of the modern roster really inspires me the way the Legends do (and did back in their day).
To me, these figures capture classic moments in time that I want to commemorate. WWE isn't creating those moments anymore, or not nearly as frequently as they did back during the Golden Age of wrestling. Even the last few Wrestlemanias haven't been interesting to me.

I lost interest in WWE in 2009, haven't actively watched since so don't really collect anything newer

I do, I collect just about every era of figures, though I tend to prioritize getting certain favorite wrestlers and specific attires and Legends over most current wrestlers.

Just flashbacks, stopped watching all current product sometime in the mid 2000's and never got back into any modern wrestling from any promotion.
I do wonder specifically, are there many others that still love old wrestling but don't watch anything modern? Or am I slim minority?

I usually only collect current guys (current is like 2004/5- to now) but absolutely love most of the early 90s (up to 1996) because I started watching on VHS from my older brother. I usually only get 1 or 2 figures of the same person unless it's someone like Cena/Taker/Punk. Will totally try to get all Gunther figures though! Really excited to complete The Judgement Day for example, but never bought a Kevin Owens figure. After hearing that the upcoming BAF Sami would be in War Games gear I decided to sell the 106 Sami and wait for the other. There are just too many figures and characters to keep all of them.

I stopped following wrestling at the end of 1996, so I don't know or care about anything after that. I still watch Golden Era almost every day and collect everything from or related to it that I can get my hands on.

Primarily modern for me. I have a few Legends (scattered Warriors, Hogans, Machos; I love the ring gear from that era), but my main focus is modern women's roster. I also never pass on a new Finn or Pete Dunne.

No, I dont collect modern but, if I did I'd probably collect modern woman wrestlers like Asuka and Rhea. They make for cool looking figures imo.
