I actually like 08 better than 2K8 this year... I think 2K over-complicated things too much.
As for the new jerseys... I like all of them except Vancouver and Dallas's

I got it for PS2. It's similar to last year's. But it's still fun with the skill stick and worth the $30 if you like hockey.

I love NHL08, it is my favorite game of the year!
I don't care, I LOVE IT! :-D I'm playing in an Dynasty with Washington Captials.
I got KILLED by Thrashers, I played the Hurricanes and won that one... I played against the Islanders, it was a close game but they ended up getting the victory.
Then I played the Rangers, what a tough battle!
Personally, NHL08 is really improved from last year's game. Its all greatness.

Everything improved but the goalies. Maybe I don't have any decent sliders yet, but the goalies are letting in softer goals than last year. At least they're not saving them and then backing them up into the net, though. But still.. some weak crapis being let in.

I cannot score for my life. I'm using the classic controls, as I find they're easier. But I haven't even scored more than 2 goals in a game yet and when I do, they're flukes that somehow get in.
I love the game, but I have a lot of practice to do.

I love the game, but I have a lot of practice to do. I don't have 360, but I played NHL 07 a lot for 360 last year. You should really play with the skill stick. It's so much easier than classic controls. You have to get the hang of it, but once you do, you'll be a lot better. Now I'm having great games with the CPU on the hardest level for the PS2 version since I know how to use the skill stick. Trust me, later on you'll be glad if you stick with the skill stick. |

Scoring is easy, but trying to play co-op online is hard. I keep getting connection lost and freezing problems.  |

- Updating rosters
- Doing pretty good on Pro. I believe I went something like 5 wins, 2 losses, and an OT win in today's session.
- Learning how to play defense.
- Still in love with the dark Dallas jersey.
- Played an International game, lovin' the bigger ice.
- EA definitely changed up dekeing from last year. It's not as sensitive as 07. Don't know if thats good or bad, but it's still taking a bit to get used to.
- Updating goalie gear as well.
- Tried an game on All Star, lost 4-2. I was outshot 38-9. I can't imagine Superstar.

Played a bit of 2K8 earlier at a chum's house. It was pretty good. The only reason I think it's getting bashed so much for it's "complicated controls" is because people give up after a game or two. If you don't have ADD and actually take the time to learn them, they're fantastic, maybe better than EA's. Sorry for the nooby question, but what like create modes does the game have and how deep are they? Thanks. |

I think (and hope) that I'm finally starting to get used to the skill stick. In my last game vs. Columbus, I had 2 goals with Jagr and a PP goal with Shanny. The only reason I lost is because I had 4 million penalties against me.

I finally got the hang of one on one dekes. And scoring has gotten easier, in my last game against Ottawa I scored 6 goals.

I am loving this game. Since the roster is outdated, I signed Aaron Carter, Brian Boucher, and Roenick for my team, Washington Captials. So far, I'm enjoying this game... I'm 20-11-3. Tampa Bay is dominating this season though. Now I need to get a D-Man, and try to get possibly Pronger or I could just go for a non-whining ass, Liles!  |
