My only complaint thus far is like you said...the uneven goaltending. The AI goaltender is 1,000x better than my goalie, no matter who it is. i like the sound of that. to be honest. i mean, in 07 it was wayyyy to easy to score little cheap goals. i like the big challenge

Made it to the second round as the Caps. I am now facing The Pens, two games so far we're both even at 1 apiece. So helluva fun and challenging. Crosby is such talented in the game, it's madness. But I figured once the season is over, Kolzig will retire because he is a free agent after this season. I may be going after Ryan Miller of the Sabres. I love how you can find out who will be a free agent in a year, or two or three. So far, my investments in Carter, Roenick and Boucher are paying off. I may just keep Roenick around for another year or so. Oh yeah, I did traded for Mark Bell at the deadline which seems to be somewhat a lackluster of a trade.

I'm now 2-2 in my Rangers dynasty. I lost to the Islanders in a SO and won my last game with a Jagr goal in OT. Tyutin also had 2 goals in the game, but Prucha got hurt so I don't know how long he'll be out now. Some of the moves Ovechkin put on my defenseman were absolutely impossible, though.

Raycroft is amazing.
Yeah, no typos there. It's true.
Sundin, Blake, and Poni are fantastic together. But it's getting a little too "Ottawa." They've become my only means of offense. Started off the season with balanced scoring, but now it's only them really. I might bump down Poni on the second line and bring up Steen. No matter what game I've played in the past two yeras, Steen is always magical with Sundin. So hopefully he'll gel with Blake and Sundin. Antropov started off the season well, but he's back to his bum self. I'll take the risk of sending him to the minors, even though his contract is one-way.

Up 3-1 against NJ and them lucky bastards get 2 un-answered goals. Nobody puts up a goal in OT, and the S.O took forever to finish with me getting a lucky goal.
4-1 now.

Every time the CPU won a faceoff in their zone, they cleared it and it went over the boards EVERY damn time. I went on a string of five cleared pucks into the crowd once. It was irritating, but I don't notice it half as much in '08.

I think we ought to do a little mini league like WOJC Brian did a couple of years ago. Maybe.

What skill level do you guys play on?
I've been playing on "PRO", because I get my ass kicked on other difficulty levels - Last year I was able to dominate on the hardest setting - THIS YEAR THE COMPUTER IS INSANELY GOOD!

I've been playing whatever the default is.
I think next season, I will do Superstar, then improve to Hall of Famer or whatever it is.

I'm 4-1-1 in my Dynasty right now and am in 1st place in the Atlantic. I beat the Thrashers in my last game with 2 goals from Jagr, a goal from Avery and an EN goal by Drury.
I found some pretty good sliders to use for the game...I'll see if I post them later.

does anyone kno why when you play online you have to update the rosters EVERY single time? I dont have 360 but I'm guessing that you should get a prompt to save the rosters. If you don't get a prompt, see if you can find a way to save the rosters. That way they will be loaded every time you start playing NHL 08 so then online it shouldn't keep asking you.
