does anyone kno why when you play online you have to update the rosters EVERY single time? I dont have 360 but I'm guessing that you should get a prompt to save the rosters. If you don't get a prompt, see if you can find a way to save the rosters. That way they will be loaded every time you start playing NHL 08 so then online it shouldn't keep asking you. yea you get the prompt, but, i was just talking to a guy that i played online with and he says that everyone has to do it, i didnt know that. hopefully they fix it soon. |

Wow,
I LOVED my game with Buffalo Sabres last night, we're in the third round of the Playoffs... I'm leading 2-1 in the series so far, and I went to nearly triple overtime.
In the second overtime, Roenick gets injured.. I'm pissed because hes my good starter on the second line, and was planning to move him up to the first line. But he got injured, and Nylander scored the winning goal about 10 seconds left in the second OT.
Man it was helluva fun.

Had to break up the Blake/Sundin/Poni line. My entire team fell a little flat and I shook crapup.
So Toskala is gone. Toskala and Bell Lol
Toskala and Bell to the Kings for Nagy and O'Sullivan. Nagy's been okay. Sullivan's been fantastic. I mean.. for a fourth liner.
So the lines are..
Nagy/Sundin/Poni
Zherdev/Wellwood/Steen
Blake/Antropov/Johnson
Kilger/O'Sullivan/Gamache
Yeah, I traded McCabe for Zherdev straight up early on in the season.
Last game against Boston was intense. Down 2-1 with 2.2 seconds to go and Steen makes a beautiful move that made Chara and Fernandez look silly. Then Steen got the OT winner. Good stuff.
Raycroft is getting tired. Last couple of games were 'meh.' But Clemmensen got a shutout in his last game against the Sharks. So it's all good.

Ooo, Sounds Good, Trys.
I actually got Mark Bell from the Leafs, I can't remember whom I traded for him though. But Bell has been fantastic on the third line though. He has gotten a couple of winnin' goals though.
I am now in the Stanley Cup Finals against San Jose Sharks, holy hell.. The top three points leader is the first line of the Sharks, and they totally destroyed me in the first game. But we're even at 1 though.

I think I gave up on Bell way too soon. I had him on the third line and he was consistantly clicking with Johnson. They were like buddies. But I wanted to throw something in with the Toskala deal, so I went with Bell. Kinda regret it now, though.
And getting Nagy was kind of bad. He isn't developing chemistry with anyone. Blake/Sundin/Zherdev was brilliant for a while, but then Poni's on the second/third line and he can't put up points there.
Anyone that gets placed with Sundin and Blake start racking up the points, big time. I'll probably just keep a carousel going between Zherdev, Poni, and Nagy on the top line. Whoever's hot gets the spot.

If things are going well with my lines, I tend not to rotate things around though, especially the first line.
Nylander, Ovechkin, and Clark.. Clark in a way, has been heating up BIG time.

And I just won the Stanley Cup in my very first season with the Washington Capitals.
And just as I predicted, Roenick and Ollie retires... Brashear didn't want to resign with the team after setting a record for his career stats, lmao.
I had a bit of a scare when Alexander Semin didn't want to resign but a day later, I got him though. Resigned Ovechkin to a 6 years contract worth 9 mil, he took it.
As for the new players, I signed Matt Stajan and Corey Perry.. I also had to trade Scott Hannan ,and get rid of his big ass contract. Because of that, I was able to sign Stajan and Perry.
I'm loving this game pretty much.
