Flair just doesn't know how to walk away from the business, which is very sad to see. He just needs to hang them up for good and accept a role as a manager, GM, or something. Honestly, one of the reasons I have a tremendous amount of respect for guys like The Rock, Jericho, Austin, etc. is that despite wrestling being the number one priority in their lives at one point or another, they were able to walk away when the time was right.
Whether it's TNA or elsewhere, Ric Flair is always going to be able to find work outside of the WWE simply because of his name. I wish he would just have one final match and retire, but I know he won't.

Hope this is just a rumor. Flair is way past his prime and all, but he's Ric ing Flair. Just being able to say you saw Flair wrestle at a show is awesome. They really should use him better. He almost always puts over younger and up-and-coming talent. I always figured Flair would go out with one more decent title run before dropping it to a younger guy.

If the Dirt sheet Guru hasnt mentioned it....and I am talking about Meltzer and no other news site has mentioned it........... Keller probably has made it up in an attempt to stir up some news.
this story has BS written all over it

He's nearly 60... What sort of push does he expect to get?... Why does he even expect a push, at 58 - or however old he is, anyway?... Pretty selfish, IMO...

That really sucks. I see him comming back soon, his friendship with Triple H is bound to get him what he wants or close to what he wants. Flair may not be what he was in the past, but its still Ric Flair, the best wrestler of all time.

Wrong again Keller.
I doubt this is true, I know he was angry about not being on Mania, but I just don't see him quitting like that.

I can't wait to see Flair blade after a Muscle Buster from Joe. Hilarious.

Whatever Flair does -- Flair pwnz! he's my favorite wrestler (HBK and HHH follow closely in second and third), and him in TNA would boost things, I know it. The 2001-2007 WWF/WWE run of Ric Flair has ended. Kinda lame. But now a new era can start! just what I was thinking.

Wow. If this is true (which I doubt, although I always say 99% of the crap these journalists spew is garbage, there's always that 1%) it will be weird. I'd love to have Flair in TNA. I could see him going up against a heel Cornette, with the two of them having a stable of young guys. Culminating in a Survivor Series style match to determine the head of TNA. That'd be awesome.

Source: PWTorch
- Apparently Ric Flair quit WWE earlier this week. The possible departure from the company doesn't have anything to do with the recent WWE drug scandal, but sources say he's just frustrated with his push and hasn't received any encouraging communication from WWE management.
As of now WWE hasn't given Ric Flair his release. WWE management are trying hard to get Flair to cool down and not quit the company. Discussions are going on to sort things out because WWE really doesn't want Flair to leave.

If he wants to go, let him go. They won't be hurting without him.

Flair > WWE.
He should be a main player on SD or even Raw.

Dave Meltzer is reporting it as well:
As reported by Pro Wrestling Torch, Ric Flair has given notice to WWE. This happened around 8/21 and has nothing to do with drug investigations or suspensions.
WWE has offered him a major program to return. The sides haven't and nobody except perhaps Flair knows where things stand at this moment.
