DDL is one of the best actors on the planet. I can't wait to see There Will Be BloodNo doubt, he knows how to choose roles. Even though he makes a movie every 3 years. I have to wait until sunday to see TWBB.

Yeah you guys are actually wrong, its Leo, who is the best actor out there right now. People forget how boring/terrible movies Depp had before Pirates, I think his last good one was Scissorhands. Donnie Brasco never got the attention it deserved, it was solid not because of Depp but because of Pacino. Which is another nod to Pacino in the Deniro/Pacino battle. Depp was kinda blah in that movie. You look at Leo over the last 8 years, compared to Depp, he is better, even with the resurgence of Depp's career. The Departed and Blood Diamond alone are better than any 2 movies Johnny Depp has done. And honestly, comparing them 2 is tough because they dont take similar roles, if you compared Matt Damon and Leo, that'd make sense. Good job telling everyone who has an "opinion" that is different than yours that thier wrong. Exactly. I also gave out reasons why the comparisons are wrong and that people are misintepreting what I am saying. Its cool to act tough on the internet, isnt it Alaska?

I'm not "acting" tough on the internet as you say. I just find it funny that just because "you" find a movie boring means that other people's "opinions" are wrong. I made it easy and put the important words in quotations for you. Both actors play very different roles in very different movies so they shouldn't really be compared. Sure Depp has made some iffy movies, but I do remember after Titanic Leo was in Man in the Iron Mask or w/e the hell that crap movie was called. He seemed to almost dissapear after that. Both actors are still phenominal. Should I wait for you to tell me my opinion is wrong?

Again, stop being tough, read my original post "These guys shouldnt even be compared"
Secondly, where did I ever say any of his movies were boring?
I think you are affected by fanboy-itis as well

Where did you say boring, right in your own post. "People forget how boring/terrible movies Depp had before Pirates". You should stop using the whole tough comeback, its pretty weak.

I'll take the amalgamation of the two... Christian Bale.

I think you are affected by fanboy-itis as well LOL Jesus Christ, will you please read what you are typing before posting "Post Reply" because you just wrote in your other post how before Pirates the majority of Depp's films were boring. Then I say his best work came before Pirates. Then you say you are a fan, but then you go and say that any actor can dedicate themself like Depp does to a character. You then say that BRAD ****ING PITT could even do it? Are you serious? What was Brad Pitts last GREAT performance? Fight Club? What was the character he was playing? A mellow guy who likes to fight. What a stretch....that is exactly the same as playing an eccentric pirate, George Jung, or a mute with ****ing scissors for hands, right??? hah. Call me a fanboy if you want or say that I have fanitis or whatever the new internet cliche for this month is..

Pitt's best performance to date is no doubt The Assassination of Jesse James. Stop fighting over what actor's better, guys!

Although Depp does a LOT of work with Burton so far that is allllll I like from depp is stuff with burton which makes me think its the actor director combo I am liking not depp alone.
Dicaprio however I like with scorcesee but I like him in everything else as well. Yah and Departed is my favorite movie of all time.
Sorry depp but leo is just better.

I like Blood Diamond more than the Departed, and that says a lot considering Im a Boston/Scorcese homer I'm shocked by that...Blood Diamond was great, but I thought The Departed was prolly the best film of since 1999 (The Green Mile)..... As for who I like better, it would definitely have to be Leo...He never has a really bad movie and if you watch him in The Aviator, u wil see why he is the better of the two....BUT, Depp is damn good as well...
