No Way Out

A video package played hyping the matches that will be taking place, played to “Ready, Aim, Fire” by Bullet for my Valentine. The video focuses heavily on the Elimination Chamber match, before all three announce team’s run down their respective brand’s matches.
World Tag Team Championship
Jeff Hardy & DH Smith Defeated Hardcore Holly & Cody Rhodes
An excellent way to kick off the show. Hardy and Smith make a great team, and Smith really looked good in the ring alongside Hardy. A great back and forth match, Hardy really shined, and the parts involving Hardy and Holly were the highlight of the match. Holly went for the Alabama slam on Smith, who escaped it and rolled Holly up for the win, and the titles.
SmackDown General Manager Theodore Long was backstage, where he announced that if MVP expects to get out of his match by DQ again, then he is sorely mistaken, as if MVP is disqualified or counted out, then he loses the title.
United States Championship Match
Finlay Defeated Montel Vontavious Porter
An incredible match, matching Finlay’s hard hitting style with MVP’s technical skills. Finlay was like a rabid dog from the very start, working away at MVP, not letting him get a shot in during the early parts of the match. MVP managed to fight back, trying to use quick moves to keep Finlay off guard, eventually attempting to get him counted out by sending him into the steel steps. Finlay came back, working away at the legs of MVP, including nailing his right leg with the Shileighliegh while Hornswoggle distracted the referee, and locking in the Celtic Knot for the win to become the new United States Champion.
Chris Jericho cut an promo backstage, hyping up his upcoming match with JBL, and promising to be at ringside for the World Heavyweight championship match later in the night.
A video package played, hyping the Jericho/ JBL match and featuring clips from their feud back when Jericho was on RAW.
Chris Jericho Defeated John Bradshaw Layfield
A good match, with Jericho looking to gain momentum as WrestleMania gets closer and closer. JBL looked dangerous early on, but Jericho quickly fought back, and most of the match was back and forth between the two. Jericho looked great here, and the crowd were backing him from start to finish. Jericho nearly got the win after hitting the codebreaker, but JBL managed to get his foot on the rope. JBL later went for the big boot, which Jericho caught and locked in the Walls of Jericho. JBL had no choice but to tap, giving Jericho the win.
Max Bretos interviewed Shawn Michaels about the Elimination Chamber. Michaels talked about how he has won in the Chamber before, and that tonight he intends to do so again. Michaels told the fans that he is sorry he has to end Flair’s career, but that if that is what he has to do to get to WrestleMania, then he will do it.
ECW Road to WrestleMania Final
Special Referee: CM Punk
Shelton Benjamin Defeated Elijah Burke
This match was not really about Benjamin/ Burke, but about the story between Benjamin and Punk. Despite this Burke put on a good performance, but Benjamin really was the star of the match, his unpredictable style keeping Burke off guard and the crowd on the edge of their seats the entire time. Benjamin and Punk nearly came to blows at one point, which allowed Burke to roll Benjamin up for a near fall. The match continued, with Benjamin dodging the Elijah Express, and hitting the knee-up Bulldog for the win.
Post Match CM Punk raised the hand of Benjamin, who in turn laid Punk out with a brutal kick to the head. Benjamin raised the ECW heavyweight title above his head and screamed “This is my time!”
The camera caught Edge backstage with the Edgeheads. Edge told them that he has already got rid of one lot of rubbish, and that to make sure he doesn’t have to do it again; they better get the job done here tonight. The Edgeheads nodded in agreement as Edge started whispering to them.
A video package aired hyping the Triple H/ Randy Orton feud, their match is up next.
WWE Championship
Triple H Defeated Randy Orton
An incredible match, probably the match of the night. The crowd were hot the whole way through. Triple H looked vicious the whole way through, but Orton showed a vicious streak he has been lacking recently. Triple H took control early on, but Orton took hold of an opening to blast Triple H’s leg with a brutal dropkick, and took the lead from there. Orton worked away at Triple H’s leg throughout the match. When Triple H was struggling to stand Orton followed up with his running punt. Orton went for another Punt, but Triple H dodged and sent Orton flying into the exposed turnbuckle. Triple H then managed to follow up with the Pedigree and the three count.
Post match Triple H struggled to get backstage, but at the top of the stage he shouted “Now on to WrestleMania”.
Max Bretos attempted to get an interview with Edge prior to his World Heavyweight title defense, but Edge just pushed past him and walked off.

Edge Defeated Batista & Rey Mysterio
Edge received some major heat during his entrance, but seemed more focused than ever. Batista went straight for Mysterio at the start of the match, with Edge just waiting around while the other two went at it. Batista through Mysterio out of the ring, and Edge took the opportunity to jump Batista from behind. Edge went to work on the right shoulder of Batista, but ended up getting blasted by a spinebuster. Mysterio got back involved and the entire match erupted into a three way brawl. The Edgeheads ended up making the interference, laying Batista out with a steel chair, and Edge nailed Mysterio with the spear for the three count.
Post match Edge celebrated in the ring with the Edgeheads, when Chris Jericho came through the crowd and jumped Edge. The Edgeheads held Jericho off while Edge got away. Jericho laid both Hawkins and Ryder out, and signaled that he is coming for the World Heavyweight Championship.

Elimination Chamber: Winner challenges for the WWE Championship at WrestleMania
Ric Flair Defeated Umaga, Shawn Michaels, Kane Matt Hardy & Carlito
Ric Flair and Carlito kicked off the match, with the crowd backing Flair throughout their brawl. Flair looked strong, nearly pinning Carlito after hitting Carlito with the DDT. Kane was the third entrant, which completely changed the tone of the match. Kane was dominant, hitting Flair and Carlito with some brutal looking power moves. Kane ended up hitting Carlito with the chokeslam, and pinned him for the first elimination. Umaga was the forth entrant, and went straight at it with Kane. The two erupted into a massive brawl, which went outside the ring, and onto the steel outside. Umaga sent Kane straight into one of the pods, which didn’t smash. Matt Hardy was the next entrant, and along with Flair double teamed Umaga. This didn’t do much as Umaga continued his domination. Umaga nailed Matt with a samoan drop on the steel ramp, and got the pin for the second elimination. Michaels was the final entrant. All four men went at it, with Michaels nearly pinning Flair after hitting a superkick. Michaels and Flair teamed up to eliminated Kane, with Michaels hitting him with the sweet chin music, meaning that Kane back up right into a rollup from Flair, who got the three count. Umaga followed up with the Samoan Spike to Michaels for the fourth elimination. The final two were Umaga and Ric Flair, who at this point was split open and bleeding profusely. Umaga continued a vicious beatdown on Flair when the light went out, and gongs were heard around the arena. When the lights came back on the Undertaker was in the ring! Taker nailed Umaga with a series of strikes, followed by the tombstone. Taker rolled Flair onto Umaga for the three count, and the win!
After the match The Undertaker lifted Ric Flair up. Flair celebrated the win as The Undertaker stared down at Umaga, who was lifeless in the middle of the ring as No Way Out went came to an end.
