Good job on SmackDown. Liked Kazarian's Debut. WrestleMania is looking awesome at the mo. LOL at Snitsky btw. I would have loved to see the main event in real life. It sounded amazing. Glad MVP qualified. Good development. Loving the Taker/Umaga feud. I've wanted them to face off for a long time. Good job overall.

Smackdown! was good, nice to see Kazarian debut. I'm a Kazarian mark, tbh. The main event sounded epic, and MVP qualifying is good. I couldn't help but laugh at Snitsky being suspended, release him!

Smackdown was good this week as well! Two good shows in a week, I like. Kane squashing Dykstra was ok, I like the Kane/Big Show thing you have going on. Sydal and Kazarian as a team? Nice move, hopefully this brings the Tag Team Division to a better standard, how it should be! Umaga/Taker should be excellent at Mania. Rey is a heel!? That's really different but I like it, Wrestlemania is going to be great with hopefully Rey/Batista being added.

3rd March 2008The RAW opening video aired, followed by Jim Ross and Jerry Lawler welcoming everybody to RAW, and running down the show’s card. ‘Burn in my Light’ hit the speakers as Randy Orton made his way to the ring to a chorus of boos. Orton just grinned before cutting a promo on his attack on Shawn Michaels last week. Orton talked about how he had promised to make an impact, and how the legend killer is truly back. Orton challenges Michaels to come out and face him, before announcing that he cant, since Michaels is still too hurt after last week. Orton then hyped his match later tonight with Jeff Hardy, and promised to do the exact same thing to Hardy as he did to Michaels. Lance Cade & Trevor Murdoch Defeated Hardcore Holly & Cody RhodesA good tag team match between two teams with history, although nothing special. Rhodes seemed out of place in a match alongside three hard hitters, and it showed. Rhodes was dominated whenever he got in the ring, but managed to make the hot tag to Holly. Holly tried to fight back but was overpowered by Cade & Murdoch, who put him away with the High Low for the victory. John Cena returns soon to the WWE!Carlito Defeated DH SmithA great match which the crowd really was not expecting this early on RAW. Carlito really stepped it up a notch in this match, taking control with a series of technical moves, including a great bridged suplex that nearly got the win early on. Smith fought back using quick moves, and attempted to work away at Carlito’s legs. Carlito got the win after ramming Smith into the corner, and followed up with the Backstabber, followed by the pinfall. Charlie Haas was backstage with RAW interviewer Eve Torres, who asks about his upcoming Money in the Bank Qualifying match. Haas hypes up his recent attitude change and winning streak, before introducing his new ‘insurance policy’ Giant Bernard, who the fans recognized as A-Train. Haas promised a victory both tonight, and at WrestleMania. Money in the Bank Qualifier Charlie Haas Defeated Chavo guerreroAnother good match from Haas, who has really shined recently, and the fans are really getting into his heel persona, especially with a monster like Giant Bernard at ringside. This match was pretty equal throughout, with the action going back and forth. Haas focused on technical moves, and tried to put Chavo away early before working away at Chavo’s legs to neutralize the frog splash. Chavo didn’t get the chance though, as Haas hit him with the Haastile Takeover for the win. Please welcome ‘The Million Dollar Man’ Ted Dibiase to the Class of 2008!WWE from the Vault: Shawn Michaels Defeated Chris Jericho (WrestleMania XIX – 10:21 shown of 22:33) Randy Orton Defeated Jeff HardyAn incredible match between two great performers. Orton seemed more dangerous than ever during this match, capitalizing on any mistake Jeff made, no matter how small. Jeff focused on using high flying moves early on, but quickly had to change his tactics when Orton took out his right leg with a brutal dropkick to the leg while it was wrapped around the turnbuckle. Jeff attempted to outwrestle Orton, but stood little chance, as Orton continued working away at Jeff’s legs, eventually blasting him with a brutal kick to the skull, followed up by the RKO for the win. Post match Orton went outside the ring and grabbed a steel chair. Before Orton could do anything Shawn Michaels came through the crowd and tackled Orton to the ground. A massive brawl erupted, ending with Michaels countering an RKO attempt and Orton escaping under the bottom rope. RAW then cut to Ric Flair backstage. Flair cut a promo on the upcoming tag team main event and how that it feels good to be teaming with Triple H once again. Flair then warned Triple H that despite them being partners tonight, they will be enemies come WrestleMania. Triple H & Ric Flair Defeated John Bradshaw Layfield & Santino MarellaA good match let down by the fact that people did not want to see Santino Marella involved in the main event, and they popped when he was pedigreed early into this match. Triple H and JBL spent the majority of this match brawling. Santino once again attempted to get involed but was once again met with a pedigree. Ric Flair got involved towards the end, hitting JBL with some stiff looking chops, and locked in the figure four leglock for the submission victory. Post match as Ric Flair celebrated Triple H looked set to hit the pedigree when he turned, but instead shocked everyone by leaving the ring. Flair & Triple H shared an uneasy stare down as RAW went off the air.

4th March 2008The ECW opening package aired, followed by Joey Styles and Tazz running down the card, which features a massive main event with RAW star Jeff Hardy defending the Intercontinental Championship against ECW’s own Elijah Burke ‘This Fire Burns’ blasts out over the speaker system as the ECW Heavyweight champion CM Punk made his way to the ring. Punk proceeded to cut a promo on how Shelton Benjamin thinks that he can beat him, before challenging him to a preview match tonight. ECW General Manager Armando Estrada came out, and told Punk that he can have a match, but announced that it will be against an opponent of his choice. Kofi Kingston Defeated The MizThe crowd popped for Kingston’s return from injury, and hopefully he has better luck than last time. A good back and forth match. Miz was impressive, but Kingston hit a series of impressive moves, topping it off with the Cool Running’s for the win. Elijah Burke was backstage with new ECW interviewer Josh Mathews. Burke cut a promo on his Intercontinental Championship match later tonight. Burke promised that tonight he would win his first championship in the WWE, and that not even Jeff Hardy can halt the WWE’s ‘Guiding Light’. With CM Punk in the ring ready for his match the familiar music of ‘Huka Blues’ hit the sound system, and Sabu made a shocking appearance. The crowd popped for the return of two time ECW Heavyweight Champion. CM Punk Defeated SabuAn incredible match. The crowd were red hot for the return of Sabu, and he put on a great match. Sabu’s unorthodox style was in full effect, and at times it looked like he didn’t even know what he was doing himself. Punk managed to keep up though, and the two shared some incredible series of moves. Sabu managed to get a near fall after hitting a big tornado DDT, but Punk fought back, and in an incredible spot Sabu cam flying off the top turnbuckle only to be caught by Punk, who hit the GTS for the win. Post match Shelton Benjamin came through the crowd and attacked CM Punk from behind. Benjamin ended up using the ECW Heavyweight title, nailing Punk clean in the head, knocking him out. Benjamin draped the title over Punk as the referee checked on him. A video package hyped Friday Night SmackDown, focusing on Shane McMahon’s special announcement. WrestleMania 24… 26 Days!Intercontinental Championship Elijah Burke Defeated Jeff HardyThis was an incredible match, and could be seen as one of the best of Burke’s career. Burke came out strong, neutralizing Hardy’s high flying offence with a roughneck offence. Burke focused on Jeff’s legs with hard strikes and submission moves. Jeff managed to hit a big dropkick which swayed the tide of the match, and Jeff took control of the match, at one point hitting the Whisper in the Wind, only just missing out on the three count. Jeff followed up with the Twist of Fate, but burke managed to reverse it, sending Jeff into the corner, and connecting with the Elijah Express, followed by the Elijah Experience. Burke followed up with the pinfall to become the new Intercontinental Champion! As ECW went off the air Elijah Burke celebrated with his new Intercontinental title, as the crowd watched in shock.

Nice ECW. First match sounded good as I like both competitors and was written nice and to the point. Punk came abit Heelish in the promo it would have been better as Benjamin. Very nice return of Sabu and that would be one heel of an incounter. Nice idea giving ECW IC gold espically as Burke is god. Yet again another great match that would be great in real life. Although you fired Knox! Please keep it up. On a side note, you still doing SRW. Please reply to RSW.

ECW was great. Glad Kofi got the win over the Miz, as i cannot stand the Miz. Sabu returning was great, and i think a match between him and CM Punk would have been really good. Glad to see Punk get the win though. Liked Benjamin's attack on Punk, and i thought it was very well written. The Main Event was great, and Burke winning the Intercontinental Belt is great. Im glad you're giving him a push.
Drop a reply to my WWE '07 - '08 please.

7th March 2008The SmackDown video packaged aired, followed by Michael Cole and Jonathan Coachman running down tonight’s card. The show kicked off with Shane McMahon making his way to the ring to a surprisingly good reaction. Shane called out the entire SmackDown roster. The SmackDown roster (Although Undertaker was notably absent) surrounded the ring, and Theodore Long joined Shane in the ring. Shane cut a promo on how Theodore Long has done a good job here on SmackDown, but that now is the time to continue with the new era, which has seen SmackDown go Live. Shane then announced himself as the new SmackDown general manager, and announced a massive main event: The Undertaker & Kane V. Umaga & Big Show. Shane left with pretty much everyone, especially Theodore Long, in shock. Matt Sydal & Kazarian Def. Deuce & DominoThe new team of Sydal & Kazarian displayed some excellent team work here, making quick work of Deuce & Domino. Sydal & Kazarian displayed some great double team movies, and finished them off with a Double Moonsault, which saw Kazarian hit Deuce with the moonsault, followed by Sydal hitting Deuce with a moonsault of his own for the win. SD cut to Chris Jericho backstage. Jericho cut a promo on the four on two attack last week. Jericho promised Edge that he got lucky last week, and that it won’t happen again. Chris Jericho Def. Curt HawkinsA short match that saw Jericho dominate Hawkins from start to finish, not giving him any offence at all, and locking in the Walls of Jericho for a quick win. Post match Zack Ryder attempted to attack Jericho from behind, but Jericho dodged a clothesline attempt, and nailed Ryder with the Codebreaker, before signaling that he is coming for the World Heavyweight Championship. A WrestleMania video package aired, focusing on the Money in the Bank ladder match. Money in the Bank Qualifier Finlay Def. Santino MarellaA surprisingly good match that saw Santino prove that he actually has some good technical wrestling abilities. Finlay focused on stiff strikes early on in the match, and using his unorthodox style to keep Santino off guard. Santino managed to take control after a kick to the knee of Finlay, and Santino followed from there, working away at the knee of Finlay. There was a great spot when Hornswoggle distracted Marella, allowing Finlay to nail Marella with a massive right hand. The match went back and forth, before Finaly hit the Celtic Cross for the win. SD cut to Montel Vontavious Porter backstage. MVP cut a promo on his feud with Finlay, and promised that after he beats Matt Hardy next, he will go onto next week and win the United States Championship. Winner challenges for the United States Championship next Week Matt Hardy Def. Montel Vontavious PorterA great match that was only let down by a cheap ending. MVP showed a serious vicious streak during the match, working away at the arm of Matt right from the start with a series of knees to a downed Hardy. Matt fought back, hitting a big dropkick, followed by a massive suplex for the near fall. Matt took a number of risks to gain control, hitting a massive cross body from the top rope, and got another near fall after hitting a top rope leg drop. Matt tried to finish MVP with the Twist of Fate, but MVP managed to roll Matt up for a near fall. Matt sent MVP to the outside with a dropkick, at which point MVP seemed to snap, grabbing a steel chair and blasting Matt with it as he followed, giving Matt the win by Disqualification. After the match MVP continued the assault on Matt Hardy, blasting him in the arm with the chair a number of times, before Finlay made the save. SD cut to Big Show backstage. Show cut a promo on the upcoming tag team match, and his match with Kane at WrestleMania. Show promised that Kane wont even make it to WrestleMania, and that if The Undertaker wants to get in his way then he will end his career as well. The Undertaker & Kane Def. Umaga & Big ShowAn all brand main event to end the show. There was obvious tension between the two teams, and the story that was shown in the match was excellent. Big Show just seemed to power through Kane in the early parts of this match, and Show and Umaga dismantled Kane, who could not make the tag. A well placed right hand gave Kane the time to make the hot tag in the Undertaker, who promptly cleaned house, hitting Umaga with a massive Chokeslam. Big Show tried to brawl with Taker, but Taker’s excellent striking game left Show down and out, and Undertaker locked in the Triangle Choke, causing Big Show to pass out, giving the Brothers of Destruction the win. As SmackDown went off the air The Brothers of Destruction stood tall above their WrestleMania opponents.

Sydal & Kaz as a team is pretty decent. Liked their match. Jericho vs Hawkins, meh nothing much to say, but Jericho getting a world title push is another meh. Hope he doesnt win. Finlay in MITB instead of Santino is a shame, but ah well, I'll live. Hardy being US Contender is good, and MVP attacking him gets him some heel heat. BOD winning is awesome, glad about that. all round great stuff lad.

Glad to see this back. SD was great, Jericho picking up a win is good, but I really enjoyed MVP/Hardy. I wonder if Matt will be in any condition to fight for the us title now? Sydal and Kaz are an amazing team, good to see them getting the win. Main event was good, glad the BOD won
Teddy Long gone? I'm sad

Wrestling Observer Newsletter
WWE.COM is hyping that Vince McMahon will make an appearance at this weeks RAW. There is no word on why he is appearing, but it is expected to be about WrestleMania.
Current plans for WrestleMania have Batista V. Rey Mysterio and Shawn Michaels V. Randy Orton both being added in the coming weeks.
WWE have indeed signed Mathew Bloom to a written contract. Bloom last wrestled for WWE in 2004, before being released. Bloom will be wrestling under the name Giant Bernard, instead of working as his previous alias A-Train. Bernard will be working alongside Charlie Haas as a bodyguard.
Sabu has signed a contract with WWE. Sabu will feature on the ECW brand. The main reason for signing him is reputably the lack of faces on the ECW brand.

SD was a solid show man. I haven't kept up with this diary or I don't remember much of it lol. Kaz/Sydal as a team is cool. Hopefully they go far in the division if they haven't already. Glad Finlay won the MITB qualifier, as much as I like Santino, he should be no where near a match of that status. Main Event was really cool. I am not a fan of mixing the brands on regular shows though. Glad the BOD picked up the win here.

10th March 2008The RAW opening video aired, followed by Jim Ross and Jerry Lawler running down tonight’s card. ‘No Chance’ hit the speakers as Vince McMahon strutted to the ring to kick off RAW. Vince cut a promo on how WrestleMania is just around the corner (big pop) and that his creation (big heat) is going to be bigger than ever. Vince then promised to make a massive announcement regarding the WrestleMania next week on RAW, and that it will involve the returning John Cena! Beth Phoenix Def. ToriA solid debut by Tori, better known as Victoria Crawford. She may not be anything spectacular but she can hold her own in a match, and may be a future women’s champion. Beth Phoenix dominated most of this match, but Tori hit some good offence, nearly picking up a shocking win with the Headscissors Takedown. Tori went up top in an attempt to land a top rope crossbody, but Phoenix caught her mid air, and connected with the Phoenix Rising for the win. The Devils Rejects come to ECW… This Week! RAW then cut to ECW superstar and the new intercontinental champion Elijah Burke in the back. Elijah cut a promo on winning his first ever championship in WWE, and promised that his run will continue when he qualifies for the Money in the Bank match. World Tag Team Championship Jeff Hardy & DH Smith Def. Lance Cade & Trevor MurdochA good tag team match that saw the experienced team of Cade & Murdoch control the newly formed team of Hardy & Smith. It has become apparent that Cade is being held back in this team, but it didn’t stop him from putting on a great performance here, and nearly winning the titles after hitting the redneck bomb on Smith. Hardy, who was still sporting the injured knee from his match with Randy Orton last week, came out of nowhere with a moonsault that took out both Murdoch and Cade in the ring, and Jeff soon hit the Whisper in the wind on Murdcoch to get the pinfall. After the match Lance Cade argued with the referee, and when he threatened the ref Murdoch pulled him away. Cade slapped Murdoch, who replied by decking Cade with a massive right hand. Murdoch left to a chorus of cheers as Cade stared at him, stunned. Triple H: King of Kings – the DVD goes on sale on the 25th of March! Please Welcome Bruno Sammartino into the class of 2008.Money in the Bank Qualifying Match Elijah Burke Def. Brian KendrickThe new intercontinental champion once again impressed here, putting on a great performance. Kendrick went on the offence quickly, but some well placed punches from Burke put him in firm control. Burke continued with his strong striking game, working away at the ribs of Kendrick, obviously causing damage as Kendrick could not hit any of his high risk moves without holding his ribs afterwards. Burke pretty much ended this when he connected with a dropkick to Kendrick’s ribs as he came off the top rope, and all it took was the Elijah Experience for the win. RAW cut to Lance Cade backstage, screaming for Trevor Murdoch. Cade asked a production member if he had seen where Murdoch had run off to, who told him no. Cade started to walk away, but blasted the man with a big boot before leaving. Ric Flair Def. John Bradshaw LayfieldA surprisingly good match that was made better due to the obvious tension between Ric Flair and Triple H, who was commentating during the match. JBL dominated the early parts of this match, using his power to completely dominate Flair. Flair fought back thanks to a well placed low blow out of the sight of the referee. The match went back and forth from there, with Flair dodging a clothesline from hell at one point. Santino Marella looked set to interfere when he came down from the stage, but Triple H once again shocked everyone when he left the announcers table and took out Marella before he could do anything. The distraction was enough for Flair, as he rolled up JBL for the win, before leaving through the crowd. Umaga was up next, already in the ring when RAW came back from a commercial. Umaga cut a promo with nobody really understood. The lights eventually went out and The Undertaker appeared at the top of the ramp. Undertaker didn’t have a microphone but his voice was heard throughout the arena, saying only two words – “No Disqualification”. When the lights came back on Undertaker was nowhere to be seen, causing the crowd to go crazy. Shawn Michaels Def. Randy OrtonA great match let down by a cheap ending. Both men went all out in the early parts of this match, going back and forth in a massive brawl before the match became more of a technical encounter. Michaels went for the Sweet Chin Music early on but Orton got out of the way and rolled out of the ring before it could connect. Orton took control when he connected with a big dropkick to the knee of Michaels, and he continued the assault on the knee in the same way as last week, smashing it against the turnbuckle a number of times. Michaels came out of nowhere with a superkick though, nearly taking Orton’s head clean off. Orton rolled out of the ring and grabbed a steel chair, blasting Michaels with it when he followed, causing the disqualification. After the match Randy Orton continued the assault on Michaels, connecting with the punt to the skull of Michaels, before hitting him with the RKO onto the steel chair. As RAW went off the air Randy Orton stood over the body of Shawn Michaels, shouting “I will do the same to you at WrestleMania Shawn”.

Nice to see you debuting some newer talent. Burke as IC CHampion is god. Hardy and Smith make an odd tag team, but I am glad you put focus on the teams in WWE. Glad Burke qualified in MITB. Main Event looked awesome. HBK/Orton never have bad matches.
