Raw was a decent show. The opener was ok but I wasnt execting anything special, glad Phoenix won. As for the tag team match, it was awesome. However, I feel Cade/Murdoch should of won because they are more experienced as a team. However, Hardy/Smith are two great talent so im fine with it. Burke in the MITB is pretty cool, I hope you give him a good push. Flair and JBL sounds like a horrible match. I was pretty suprised from the outcome of it. The main event was amazing. Im glad Michaels picked up the win. I wonder where you will go with their fued. Reply to TNA 2008, please?

RAW was good. Nice to see Burke in the MITB Match, as i had hoped he was going to be in it this year, but was disappointed that he wasn't, so i'm glad you put him in. Loved the Taker segment as well. Orton vs. HBK was good too, nice ending as well. Overall a pretty solid show.

Wrestling Observer WWE News: Ric Flair, DVD Schedule, New Signings
Ric Flair will indeed be retiring after WrestleMania, win or lose, and will no longer be involved in wrestling, at least the in ring side. There has been some talk on Flair winning the WWE Championship at WrestleMania, and vacating it the following night on RAW, but Triple H apparently does not like the idea, and obviously wants to remain champion.
WWE have announced two more DVD’s to be released later this year. June will see the release of ‘Stone Cold Steve Austin: The Texas Rattlesnake’ and will feature a number of matches and segments from his time in the WWE. The bigger news is the first volume in a new series of WWE DVD’s, titled ‘WWE: The History’, and will see the re-release of WWE pay-per-views right from the start. The first double set will feature the first ever WrestleMania and WWE’s Wrestling Classic.
WWE continue to improve their developmental system with several young signings – Drake Younger, Kevin Steen and shockingly Mistico. Both Mistico and Younger are expected to skip development, with Mistico joining the cruiserweight division on Smackdown, and Younger featuring on ECW.
It is notable that WWE have recently been less focused on big giant wrestlers, and have focused more on technical wrestling. Many people believe that this is due to Shane McMahon’s influence in the back, and he has recently been named the new executive of talent and creative writing, a job previously run by Stephanie McMahon.

Nice to see Shane O'Mac making some changes and taking Steph's place. Hope you continue the emphasis on Technical Wrestling. Anyway, will be interested to see who Flair faces in his retirement match, and I cant wait to read SMACKDOWN.

Nice to see this still going strong, Getting closer and closer to 'mania, which is a good thing. Shane regaining control is cool, doesn't really affect the diary though. I wouldn't mind Flair winning the title at mania, but it would be cool if he kept it till Backlash to lose it to Triple H or Shawn Michaels then retire.

11th March 2008The ECW opening video aired, followed by Joey Styles and Tazz running down tonight’s card. ‘Ain’t no Stoppin Me’ hit the speakers as Shelton Benjamin made his way to the ring to kick of ECW. Benjamin cut a promo on his attack on CM Punk last week, and how Punk can’t be here tonight because he is still concussed. Benjamin then reveals that he will face Sabu in the main event. The unfamiliar theme of ‘Godsmack’ by Whatever played out across the arena as an unknown wrestler introduced as Drake Younger made his way to the ring. Drake Younger Def. NunzioA dominant debut by Younger in a surprisingly good match. Younger fits ECW perfectly, using a dominant unpredictable style to completely control the match, eventually putting Nunzio away with a Vertebraker that he calls the Drake’s Landing. The lights went out and Organ music began playing. This was followed by a man in a white suit coming to the ring, holding a cane, followed by two men in cloaks. When the lights came back on the man introduced himself as the leader of the Devil’s Rejects – James Mitchell, and introduced the other members – Raven and Mordecai! The fans were shocked to see the return of these two men, who make their debut next! Raven & Mordecai Def. Stevie Richards & Balls MahoneyComplete squash match here. Richards and Mahoney never stood a chance, and were completely outdone by the Devils Rejects. Mordecai is an impressive individual when it comes to strength, and overpowered both of his opponents, while Raven just out brawled them. The fans loved seeing Raven again, and it was a Raven Effect on Richards that gave the Devil’s Rejects the win. A video package hyping WrestleMania aired, focusing on the ECW Championship match.ECW then cut to Sabu backstage, getting ready for his match against Shelton Benjamin. Tommy Dreamer walked up to him, and told him how great it is to see him back. Sabu looked at him and talked a load of gibberish. What could be made out was the word ‘letdown’. Sabu left, while Dreamer looked on angrily. Shelton Benjamin Def. SabuA great main event that went longer than expected. Sabu is actually performing well since his return, and the crowd enjoyed his performance here. Benjamin was still the star of the show however, and his unorthodox style allowed him to control a lot of this match. Sabu attempted to hit a top rope move, but Benjamin connected with a dropkick mid air. Benjamin followed up with the T-Bone Suplex for the win. Post match Benjamin continued the assault on Sabu, nailing him with the knee up bulldog. Tommy Dreamer made the save with a steel chair however, getting a great reaction from the crowd. Dreamer helped Sabu up before shocking everyone when he nailed Sabu with the Dreamer DDT on to the steel chair. Dreamer grabbed a microphone and screamed “letdown? Guess what Sabu, the Extreme Icon is back!” ECW went off the air with the fans confused whether to cheer or boo.

Randy Orton vs Shawn Michaels has been done before, so I ain't to excited with another match happening at Wrestlemania, but Undertaker/Umaga is awesome and so is Triple H/Ric Flair and even CM Punk/Shelton Benjamin. Money in the Bank is also looking to be another bump fest, which is good.
ECW was alright, no idea who Drake Younger is, still not sure about him getting the win. Raven/Mitchell & Mordecia returning makes me happy, I liked Thorn as Mordecia so I hope he stays this way, nice to see them get the win. Main event was great, expected Shelton to get the win, Dreamer turning heel somewhat at the end was great.

That Mania poster is sick man. ECW was good, awesome team there with Mordecai and Raven, glad they got the win. Main Event was awesome, hope you push Benjamin to the sky. AWESOME ending with Dreamer, pure gold. Cant wait for Smackdown, and WrestleMania.

14th March 2008The SmackDown opening video aired, followed by Michael Cole and Jonathan Coachman running down tonight’s card. ‘Break the Walls Down’ hit the speakers as Chris Jericho made his way to the ring to kick off SmackDown. Jericho cut a promo on his match with Edge at WrestleMania 24, and promised that he would bring the house down in the main event of WrestleMania. Jericho then announced that he had been given the chance to pick Edge’s opponent tonight, so the main event will be Edge V. The Undertaker! Jamie Noble Def. Chavo GuerreroNoble’s new ‘out for himself’ attitude was certainly on display in this match, as he displayed a new aggressive approach to his opponent, controlling the Cruiserweight champion. Chavo attempted to fight back, utilizing quick moves, but was dropped by a big dropkick. Noble followed up with the Nobilizer, and got the pinfall for the win. SD cut to MVP backstage. MVP cut a promo on how he injured Matt Hardy last week, and that there really is no point in Hardy wrestling tonight. MVP then announced that he would take Matt’s place if he couldn’t get in the ring. Kazarian & Matt Sydal Def. John Morrison & The MizA solid tag team match. The fans are really getting into the team of Kazarian and Sydal, and their performance here showed exactly why. The WWE Tag Team champions thought that this would be an easy win, but were caught off guard early on by a double dropkick. From there the match went back and forth, with Morrison nearly pinning Sydal after the Backdrop Driver, but only got a near fall. The end came when Kazarian and Sydal nailed the tag team champions with the Double Moonsault, followed by Kazarian pinning Miz. A WrestleMania 24 hype video played, focusing on the match between Big Show and Kane. Money in the Bank Qualifier Carlito Def. D’Lo BrownA solid match to name the final entrant into the Money in the Bank match. The crowd were backing D’Lo throughout this match, and he took advantage early on thanks to some quick moves, but Carlito hit a well placed dropkick which nearly took Brown’s head off. Carlito took control from there. The match went back and forth until D’Lo attempted to hit the Sky High, but Carlito countered, and connected with the Swinging Neckbreaker for the win. Matt Hardy is shown in the medical area with a doctor, who advises Matt not to compete tonight. Matt tells him that he has too, before leaving to get ready. United States Championship Finlay V. Matt Hardy went to a No ContestMatt Hardy was playing off of his injury throughout this match, and it was hard to tell if his arm was actually injured or if it is just an angle. Finlay dominated the early parts of this match, working on the injured arm, while Matt was unable to hit a lot of his trademark moves without injuring himself further. Matt managed to fight back by focusing on quick grapples, and eventually went for the Twist of Fate. Finlay managed to counter it though, and hit the Celtic cross. Finlay then locked in the Celtic knot. Just as Matt was about to tap MVP interfered, nailing both men with a steel chair. MVP left with both men hurt, and no winner announced. Rey Mysterio then made his way to the ring to a chorus of boos from the fans. Mysterio cut a promo on how he has been left of the Wrestlemania 24 card because of his height (there were a few people shouting shorty at this point), and that he deserved a spot on the card, and that he wasn’t leaving until he found a challenger. “I Walk Alone” hit the speakers as Batista ran down to the ring, causing Mysterio to escape through the crowd. Batista then accepted the challenge! The Undertaker Def. EdgeAn excellent main event that saw both men put on excellent performances. Edge didn’t look happy about being forced into this match, and tried to end it early with a spear, but ran straight into a big boot. Undertaker tool control with stiff strikes, and sent Edge to the outside with a massive right hand. Edge tried to leave the arena but was blocked by Chris Jericho at the ramp, causing Edge to re enter the ring. Edge nearly got a win after connecting with the Edgecution, but only got a near fall. Umaga attempted to interfere at one point while Edge distracted the referee, but Undertaker dodged a clothesline attempt, and hit Umaga with the Chokeslam. Edge then attempted to nail an unsuspecting Undertaker with a steel chair, but Jericho got up on the apron and grabbed the chair, causing Edge to turn right into a Tombstone from the Undertaker, who got the three count. As SmackDown went off the air the Undertaker did his classic pose in the ring, while Chris Jericho walked up the ramp with a massive grin.

This diary is really good, and I like Mordecai in this. I was actually going to use him in my WWE 2008. I would love to see Carlito/D'Lo in real life, as I think it would be a good match. I love the team of Kazarian and Sydal, and I like this push they're getting. Liked the main event, although it was pretty weird having it on free TV although it has been done before in WWE. Wrestling Observer Newsletter WWE News: WrestleMania Card, Joey Matthews, New Generation to Step Up
The current WrestleMania 24 card currently looks like it will be the final one. There are currently no plans for any more matches to be added, although this could always change in the next two weeks.
WWE have been in contact with former superstar Joey Matthews aka. Joey Mercury. Matthews was released back in March of 2007, but it seems that there is some interest in re signing him and repackaging him. Since leaving WWE Matthews has been working in Ring of Honor and Ohio Valley Wrestling.
There are plans for the a number of new main eventers to be established after WrestleMania, with some of the older talent being used less in the main event. Wrestlers like Shelton Benjamin, CM Punk, Elijah Burke and Montel Vontavious Porter could be in for a push in 2008.

Nice to see this still going. Jericho/Edge at Mania will be amazing. Cool to see Edge/Taker tonight. They always had great matches. Nice to see Sydal and Kaz picking up the win here and the match looked like it was really good. Would've prefered D'Lo winning as I am not a fan of Carlito tbh. Taker/Edge was good. Would have made it a no finish though as it made Edge look kinda weak but then again Jericho did interfer and cost Edge the match.... Loved the ending to the show though and can't wait for Mania.

17th March 2008The RAW opening video aired, followed by Jim Ross and Jerry Lawler running down tonight’s card. “No Chance” hit the speakers as Vince McMahon came out onto the ramp to kick the show off. Vince cut a promo on WrestleMania, and how the WWE Championship match is too big for any normal referee, so it won’t be having a normal referee, it will have a special referee. “The Time is Now” hit the speakers as John Cena made a shock return, and will be the special referee for the WWE Championship match. Cena posed on the ramp, receiving a mixed reaction from the fans. WWE Women’s Championship Beth Phoenix Def. Maria KanellisA complete squash match. Maria attempted to get some offence in, but was destroyed by the Women’s Champion, who looked impressive tonight. Phoenix put Maria away with the Phoenix Rising in a short match. After the match Beth Phoenix continued the assault on Maria, hitting her with another Phoenix Rising. Beth attempted to hit yet another Phoenix Rising but she was stopped by the surprising return of Candice Michelle, who stopped Beth by hitting her with a dropkick, sending her to the outside. Candice taunted Phoenix, who walked up the ramp. RAW cut to Lance Cade backstage. Cade cut a promo on how Trevor Murdoch made the biggest mistake of his career last week, and that up next, everyone will discover that without Lance Cade, there would be no Trevor Murdoch. Lance Cade Def. Trevor MurdochIt looks like Lance Cade could be getting the big push out of this team breaking up. The match was good, with both men putting on a decent performance, although Cade had control for the majority of the match, and eventually put Murdoch away with the Redneck Bomb. Please Welcome ‘The British Bulldog’ Davey Boy Smith into the Hall of Fame Class of 2008!Giant Bernard Def. DH SmithThis wasn’t the squash that everybody was expecting, but it certainly wasn’t an even match. Smith got some decent offence in during the opening minutes of the match, but Bernard eventually got some momentum behind him, and slaughtered Smith. Charlie Haas was at ringside during the match, and just laughed as Smith was taken apart, eventually being hit by the Bernard Bomb, followed by the pinfall. RAW cut to Umaga backstage, who was throwing things around screaming for the Undertaker. Security attempted to stop him, but Umaga took all of them out, screamed, and stormed off. Carlito Def. Jeff HardyThis was a preview of the Money in the Bank match, and if this is anything to go by, then the match at Mania will be incredible. Everyone expected Jeff to have no problem here, but he just seemed out classed by Carlito, who from the looks of things could have a really big year ahead of him. The match went back and forth, with both men getting in a lot of offence, but it was Carlito that picked up with win, dodging a Swanton Bomb attempt, and connecting with the Backstabber for the pinfall. RAW cut to John Cena backstage, alongside backstage interviewer Eve Torres. Cena said that it was good to be back where he belonged, and announced that he would be cleared to compete after WrestleMania. Cena then promised that he would call the WWE Championship match right down the middle. Ric Flair & Shawn Michaels Def. Triple H & Randy OrtonThis match was basically used to build towards WrestleMania, but it was still a superb match. There was obvious tension between Triple H and Randy Orton from the get go of this match, and it came back to bite them more than once, with Flair and Michaels using the arguing to take advantage. The match was back and forth, with all four men getting some good offence in. At one point Orton grabbed a steel chair, and looked to blast Flair with it when Triple H stopped him, throwing the chair out of the ring. The two argued, with Orton blasting Triple H with and RKO out of nowhere. Orton turned straight into the Sweet Chin Music from Michaels, followed by the pinfall. As RAW came to an end Shawn Michaels and Ric Flair stood tall over the WWE Champion Triple H and Randy Orton.

Absolutely great to see this back, a very well done diary and one of my old favorites. Good build to Wrestlemania, great to see that British Bulldog is going to be inducted into the HOF. Shame his son couldn't get the win after the announcement though. Good MITB preview, and Cade/Murdoch. Let's see where you go with Cade. Absolutely loved the Umaga segment, I pictured it in my head clearly, and loved it. Main event built towards Mania well. Hope Michaels and HHH win their respective matches

18th March 2008The ECW Opening video aired, followed by Joey Styles and Tazz welcoming everyone to the show and running down tonight’s card. The Original Alice in Chains version of ‘Man in the Box’ played across the arena as Tommy Dreamer made his way to the ring to a chorus of boos. Dreamer ordered that his attack on Sabu be shown, which got another chorus of boos. Dreamer cut a promo on how he had become a joke recently, but that now that was all over, and that the extreme icon is back. CM Punk interrupted, telling Dreamer that he had lost all respect for him after last week, before challenging him to a tag team match tonight – CM Punk & Sabu V. Shelton Benjamin & Tommy Dreamer. Dreamer accepted the challenge, before Punk walked off backstage. Kofi Kingston Def. Sean MorleyKingston’s undefeated streak continued here, in what turned out to be a great match. Morley has really shone since coming to ECW, and controlled a lot of this match with his power advantage. Kingston got some good offence in as well, and nearly got the win with the Cool Runnings. Morley attempted to lock Kingston in the flytrap, but Kingston rolled through, and rolled Morley up for the win. Post match Sean Morley attacked Kingston, viciously beating him down. Morley finished the attack off with the Knockout, before walking off. A video package aired featuring a man standing in front of American flag. A voice over talked about how “Mike Kruel is anti-communist and Pro-America”, before announcing that ‘Mr. USA’ Mike Kruel is coming to ECW, ending with “This video package was paid for by the supporters of Mike Kruel. Matt Hardy Def. John MorrisonThis was a Money in the Bank preview match, and really got the crowd going. The opening part of the match saw both men hitting a flurry of quick moves in an attempt to finish their opponent off quickly. The match quickly became a technical affair, going back and forth between both men. The Miz attempted to interfere at one point, but Matt took him out with a baseball slide, and hit Morrison with the Side Effect for the win. ECW cut to the Big Show backstage. Show cut a promo on his WrestleMania 24 match with Kane. Big Show promised that Kane will never step in a wrestling ring again after WrestleMania. CM Punk & Sabu Def. Shelton Benjamin & Tommy DreamerThis was a great main event, and the crowd really got into it. There was a great story during this match, with Punk attempting to send a message to Benjamin while Sabu just attempted to hurt Dreamer. The match was back and forth from the beginning, with all four men getting some great offence in. Sabu took out everyone with a suicide dive over the top rope to the outside. The end came with a massive four man brawl in the ring, and while Benjamin and Sabu were outside the ring Punk connected with the GTS on Dreamer for the win. As ECW went off the air Shelton Benjamin blasted Sabu with a steel chair, and warned Punk that the same fait awaits him at WrestleMania.

Great ECW. I'm liking the sounds of Kruel, a politician type of character, should be new and fresh. Liked Dreamers promo, but he probably shouldn't have been pinned in the main event, at least not this week. Kingston/Morley was great, sad Kofi keeps winning though lol.

21st March 2008With just two weeks to go until the biggest event of the wrestling year everyone wanted to gain some momentum on SmackDown, most of all the World Heavyweight Champion Edge, who kicked off the show announcing that he had chosen Chris Jericho’s opponent for the main event – Umaga. Despite Jericho being overpowered throughout he held his own, and managed to lock in the Walls of Jericho, only to be attacked by Edge from behind. What was a one on one match quickly became a two on one beating until the lights went out, and The Undertaker made the save, running off both Edge and Umaga. With all four men standing eye to eye at the end of the show and with WrestleMania just around the corner, next weeks SmackDown could be the biggest yet. Rey Mysterio made it perfectly clear that he is out for himself on SmackDown, first getting a victory over Funaki, then telling everyone in the arena that he doesn’t care about anyone but himself, and that in two weeks time, he will embarrass Batista. Another man who has some explaining to do is Montel Vontavious Porter, who last week took out both Matt Hardy and Finlay. Instead of an explanation we saw MVP get a victory over Chuck Palumbo, and a promise that by the end of WrestleMania, MVP will walk away as Mr. Money in the Bank. Some of the biggest news coming from SmackDown is the fact that we have new WWE Tag Team Champions in the form of Matt Sydal & Kazarian, who put on a five star performance to get the win over John Morrison and The Miz. Morrison was not happy with Miz after he was pinned, and verbally berated him before leaving. In other news a video package aired during SmackDown, hyping the debut of "The Superstar" Hollywood Mercury, and Kane sent a message to the Big Show with a win over Jamie Noble. Quick Results:
Kane Def. Jamie Noble Montel Vontavious Porter Def. Chuck Palumbo with the Playmaker Rey Mysterio Def. Funaki with the 619 WWE Tag Team Championship Match: Matt Sydal & Kazarian Def. John Morrison & The Miz when Kazarian pinned Miz following the Pump Kick. Chris Jericho Def. Umaga via DQ when Edge interfered. OOC: I know that some people will hate the layout, but I really found this both easier and more enjoyable to write, so I think I'm gonna stick with the WWE.COM style results.
