ROH: Tag Wars 2008 (August 8th; Boston MA)
-Before the show, the ROH World Tag team Champions, El Generico & Kevin Steen cut a promo. They said tonight, they prove to the world they’re fighting champions.
First Round: Incoherence def. The Kings of Wrestling w/ Larry Sweeney Fun comedy match. They really played up the dissension between Claudio and Hero with both trying to put wrestle Delirious and both failing miserably. At one point even Larry Sweeney got involved, tagging himself in and walking straight into a Delirious arm drag. Eventually Hero would be able to get control and began to work a much more serious style, brutalising Delirious & Hallowicked with strikes. It would not be The Kings of Wrestling’s night however as Hallowicked connected with the Go 2 Sleepy Hollow followed immediately by the Shadows over Hell for the victory over Claudio.
First Round: The Revolution def. The Briscoe’s Really hard hitting matchup, lots of strike exchanges which made up the majority of the match up. Davey Richards & Eddie Edwards are a tremendous team, it’s like watching a new age Chris Benoit and Dynamite Kid team up. The Briscoe’s did their thing and were certainly the favourites going in, however The Revolution came out the victors after a DR Driver/Lionsault combination.
First Round: Austin Aries & Mike Quackenbush def. The BLK OUT Kingston & Ruckus represented the BLK OUT here; Joker was also in attendance however Sabian appears to have been dropped from the Roster. Quack & Aries meshed well together and had some nice double team offense, including a Brainbuster/Palm Strike combination. Kingston came close to victory with the Backfist however Quack & Aries took the duke and advanced to face The Revolution following an Aries 450 splash.
ROH World Tag Team Titles, First Round: El Generico & Kevin Steen © def. The YRR The crowd were pretty much burnt out on tag matches at this point, so Steen; Generico & The YRR slowed things down, allowing them to recharge their batteries. The story of the match was very much about the ROH World Tag team Champions underestimating their opponents, allowing Kenny King & Sal Rinauro to make the comeback. King came extremely close to victory following the Double Kness on Generico, which Generico sold beautifully I hasten to add. However the champions would retain and progress to the second round, connecting with the Assembly Line (Package Piledriver/Brainbuster) Combination on Rinauro for the victory.
--Intermission--
-During Intermission, Quackenbush and Aries cut a promo about facing Davey Richards & Eddie Edwards of The Revolution in the second round. Quack did not mind telling us, he’s coming for vengeance for what Richards and his lackeys did to Erick Stevens’ arm.
--End Intermission--
Semi-Final: The Revolution def. Austin Aries & Mike Quackenbush The second half of the show started off hot and heavy with a tremendous match between these two teams. Match of the night by far. Eddie Edwards & Davey Richards attacked Aries & Quack during their entrance and from there it was nonstop balls to the wall action. Quackenbush would eventually get worked over by Richards & Edwards however he would turn the tide, avoiding a double clothesline attempt and taking both Revolution members to the mat with a pair of Palm Strikes. Once Quack made the tag to Aries, all hell broke loose. Aries ran wild over The Revolution and looked to have victory in hand, however Davey Richards cut off Austin’s 450 Splash attempt with a kick from the apron. Edwards followed up with the Backpack Stunner and 2K1 Bomb for the victory.
ROH World Tag Team Titles, Semi-Final: El Generico & Kevin Steen © def. Incoherence Another comedy match, lots of great moments between Generico & Delirious as they tried to communicate with each other. Steen would step in as translator before levelling Delirious with a right hand. The match picked up towards the end as Incoherence made a bid for the titles. They came close when Delirious connected with the Chemical Imbalance II however Generico & Steen would progress to the finals; hitting a Frog Splash/Swanton combination on Hallowicked for the win.
Champion vs. Champion: Takeshi Morishima def. Roderick Strong Very hard hitting match between these two World Champions. Morishima looked dominant, however Strong certainly got to look good in his own right. He survived a tremendous amount of punishment and kept on coming back for more. He even connected with a variety of backbreakers and came so very close to tapping the ROH World Champion out when he applied the Stronghold. It would not be Strong’s night however as Morishima showed his fighting sprit following a Strong boot to the face before connecting with a lariat. Morishima followed up with the Backdrop Driver which earned him the victory.
ROH World Tag Team Titles, Final: The Revolution def. El Generico & Kevin Steen © In the surprise of the night, ROH crowned new World Tag Team Champions. Unlike their previous matches, El Generico & Kevin Steen were not overlooking their challengers Davey Richards & Eddie Edwards. They went at The Revolution full bore and could have had the match won on a number of different occasions. They busted out every move in their double team arsenal but Richards & Edwards would not be denied. Eventually Richards would counter a Brainbuster with knee strike before connecting with the DR Driver on Generico. Edwards dispatched of Steen as Davey applied the Kimura lock earning his team the submission victory.
-After the match, Davey continued to torture Generico’s arm until Steen finally made the save. He was forced to watch as The Revolution walked out with the title belts that not a minute previous had belonged to him.

- Opening the show with the tag champions cutting a promo is solid, it is their night basically. - Incoherence opening the show match wise is cool, big fan of them, was somewhat hoping for them to pick up the titles. - Glad to see the Briscoes not get past the first round, hehe. Prefer Revolution. - All the tag matches were really solid, can't really complain about any of them. - Morishima vs Strong was a fantastic match, somewhat wanted to see Strong pull out the victory but Morishima is a bloody monster. Here's hoping he drops the title to someone who hasn't held it before. - New Tag champions is awesome, love Richards having another belt. Hope Revolution have a good run.

Still a fantastic diary, wanted Steen & Generico to pick up the win but alas it was not to be. Looking forward to the next show, push Steen.

-Surprised Incoherence went over as KOW are just a better team -Surprised also that the Briscoes lost but glad Revolution won -Aries & Quack sound like a ridiculously awesome team, glad that they won -Champs winning make sense -Love Revolution winning and loved how Edwards ended it -Incoherence always have comedy matches so I'm glad the Champs won again -'Shima over Strong makes sense as the ROH World Champ is bigger than the FIP Champ -Surprised that Steenerico dropped the belts, but glad that Revolution took home the gold
Great show once again, I love ROH and I love this so far

ROH NewswireAugust 22nd: Ring of Honor has crowned new ROH World Tag Team Champions! At Tag Wars 2008, Davey Richards & Eddie Edwards bested El & Generico Kevin Steen to win the title belts, in a one night, all or nothing tournament. Richards & Edwards have been on a crusade of sorts over the last few months here in ROH, claiming talent such as Erick Stevens & Matt Cross have been attempting to take their spots. This victory may go a long way in refuting that claim. August 22nd: After losing the ROH World Tag Team title belts, Generico & Steen are said to be furious. The former champions were highly anticipating the opportunity, to face former rivals Kotaro Suzuki & Ricky Marvin with the title belts on the line at Glory by Honor VII. They will have one last chance to earn that right, as they get their rematch on Night one of Glory by Honor weekend, with the winners going on to defend the titles against Suzuki & Marvin the following night. Ring of Honor ROH: Revolution: Stage 1 - ROH: Revolution: Stage 2 August 25th - August 26th, 2008- 7:00pm belltime The Arena 7 Ritner Street Philadelphia, PA 19148
Tickets are available at www.rohwrestling.com or www.Tickets.com
Night 1 Current Line up;ROH World Title: Takeshi Morishima © vs. Brent Albright ROH World Tag Team Titles: The Revolution © vs. Kotaro Suzuki & Ricky Marvin FIP World Title: Roderick Strong © vs. Matt Cross Special Attraction Match: Austin Aries vs. Go Shiozaki Bryan Danielson vs. Jimmy Jacobs Tyler Black vs. Jimmy Rave Delirious, Hallowicked & Jigsaw vs. Sweet ‘N Sour International El Generico & Kevin Steen vs. The Osirian Portal Night 2 Current Line up; ROH World Title: Takeshi Morishima © vs. Jimmy Jacobs ROH World Tag Team Titles: The Revolution © vs. Austin Aries & Matt Cross FIP World Title: Roderick Strong © vs. Go Shiozaki Special Attraction Match: Kotaro Suzuki & Ricky Marvin vs. Bryan Danielson & Tyler Black Four Corner Survival: Featuring Jigsaw, El Generico, Chris Hero & Claudio Castagnoli! Kevin Steen vs. Jimmy Rave Incoherence vs. The Osirian Portal August 22nd: On Night 1 of this huge double shot weekend, Takeshi Morishima will defend the ROH World Championship against Brent Albright. ROH management have gone out of their way to please Davey Richards and his Revolution members; in an effort to stop the recent string of wild brawls and interference in matches. At Tag wars 2008, Richards & Edwards defeated eight other teams and walked out of Boston with the ROH World Tag team Title belts. Brent Albright will have a chance to add another belt to the Revolution collect as he takes on the so far dominant Takeshi Morishima. Richards is one of the few people to have handed Morishima a loss here in ROH competition, and he will no doubt be giving Albright all the advice he needs before this huge title matchup. August 22nd: Kotaro Suzuki & Ricky Marvin will get the first shot at The Revolution’s ROH world Tag team title belts. Suzuki & Marvin defeated Jay & Mark Briscoe last year in Japan to win the titles, and they’ll be looking to add a second reign during their second stay here in ROH. August 22nd: One night before he challenges for the ROH World title, Jimmy Jacobs will have the warm up match of his life. Jacobs has been completely obsessed with Lacey & Tyler Black as of late, however he will have to put them out of his mind as he takes on the “American Dragon” and Takeshi Morishima back to back. And speaking of Tyler Black, Bryan Danielson has chosen the impressive young Black to be his tag team partner the following night when they take on Kotaro Suzuki & Ricky Marvin. August 22nd: Austin Aries & Matt Cross have been just two of the targets of The Revolution over the past several months. And on night 2 of this double shot, they will go head to head with them, as they take on Davey Richards and Eddie Edwards. If Richards & Edwards retain on Night 1, this match will be for the ROH World Tag team Championships. If The Revolution where to lose the tag team titles then Suzuki & Marvin will put them on the line against Black & Danielson. August 22nd: Chris Hero and Claudio Castagnoli, collectively known as The Kings of Wrestling have been engaged in a game of one ups-manship in recent weeks. Both men have tried and failed to out wrestle former ROH World Champion Delirious and even their agent Larry Sweeney has tried his hand at besting the lizard man. Now, Sweet N’ sour International will meet Delirious and regular partner Hallowicked, alongside Jigsaw in six man tag team action. Hero, Claudio & Sweeney will all be hoping to finally achieve victory, and settle their differences. August 22nd: and finally, The Osirian Portal makes their way to Ring of Honor. Amasis & Ophidian have been making waves on the independent circuit, most notably in CHIKARA. They will have a chance to impress in ROH as they take on former ROH World Tag team Champion’s El Generico & Kevin Steen on Night 1.; and Incoherence, Delirious & Hallowicked on Night 2.

The line ups for Night One and Night Two look fantastic, I'd love to see Brent Albright make Morishima tap out to the Armbar finally making him the ROH World Champion but for some reason I don't see it happening. Still to be a solid match. Expecting Richards and Edwards to retain the tag titles although the second match against Aries and Cross should be fantastic. Here's hoping for a Delirious win, hehe.

ROH: Revolution: Stage 1 (August 25th; Philadelphia, PA)-In a pre show, Larry Sweeney claimed tonight, Sweet N’ sour International get back on track; “Ain’t no doubt about!”El Generico & Kevin Steen def. The Osirian PortalGood opening tag match here, Amasis and Ophidian were given a chance to impress. They brought a lot of their comedy spots and the fans seem to dig it, both played off Generico and Steen well and looked good in the ring. Eventually it would be the former ROH world tag team Champions, taking victory with the Assembly Line. FIP World Title: Roderick Strong © def. Matt Cross The match told a good story, with the larger stronger Roderick dominating the valiant, resilient Matt Cross. Cross would build up a head of steam late on, hitting the Headbreaker and attempting the Split Legged Moonsault. Strong would get the knees up, follow up with the Death by Roderick and Gibson Driver for the victory. Delirious, Hallowicked & Jigsaw def. Sweet ‘N Sour InternationalExtremely fun match with these six men, they really played up the idea that Chris Hero and Claudio Castagnoli couldn’t outwrestle Delirious. At one point, their manager Larry Sweeney would do just that, to everyone’s amusement and Delirious’ surprise. Delirious would then play the Hero/Claudio role, unable to get the better of Sweeney. Eventually Sweet N’ Sour International began working over Jigsaw keeping him isolated from his team /Jigsaw would eventually make the comeback and hot tag. All hell broke loose after that, and after a moment of miscommunication between Hero and Castagnoli, Delirious took advantage, hitting the Chemical Imbalance II on Claudio for the victory. Tyler Black def. Jimmy RaveThis was Tyler Black’s chance to shine, and shine he did in a great match with Jimmy Rave. Jimmy rave was for less dickish than usual and the fans even rallied behind him at points. Jimmy dominated for much of the match, working over the legs however Tyler would survive Jimmy’s attacks and prevent the Heel hook at all costs. Tyler would later get an offensive flurry that ended with the Paroxysm. He got a close near fall there however he would not be given the chance to follow up as Rave countered his way out of the Small Package Driver attempt and hit that move formerly known as Ghanarhea. Rave would go back to work on the leg, finally applying the Heel hook but Tyler refused to give. Jimmy attempted to finish Black off once and for all with the Pedigree but Tyler would escape. He would go onto hit the God’s Last Gift, upsetting Rave here. -After the match, Rave would get on the microphone and reference the man that attacked him during intermission, several shows ago. Rave challenged him to a matchup at Glory by Honor VII.--Intermission---During intermission, Brent Albright talked about dumping Tyler Black and walking out on Lacey’s Angels earlier in the year. He said he was carrying dead weight and now he’s joined a winning team [The Revolution]. Davey Richards flaunted his newly won ROH World Tag Team belt before saying Brent Albright is going to add another trophy to the trophy case tonight.--End Intermission--Jimmy Jacobs def. Bryan Danielson In the upset of the night, Jimmy Jacobs defeated Bryan Danielson. Really great action between these two, lots of back and forth. Danielson looked to be toying with Jimmy early on but Jacobs should not have been underestimated. He made the comeback, using every shortcut he could to do damage. Eye gauges, eye rakes, low blows, feet on the ropes, Jacobs utilized them all. Danielson withstand it and battled back, coming close to victory with the cattle Mutilation. However Jacobs would score the upset, locking in the Guillotine Choke, causing Danielson to pass out. -After the bell Jacobs continued to apply pressure with the hold. The referee tried to pry Jimmy free of “American Dragon” to no avail. Jimmy continued to beat down on Danielson as BJ Whitmer made his way out from the back. Whitmer brought the chain used in Black and Jacob’s vicious Dog Collar match and Jimmy began to nail Dragon repeatedly with it. Eventually he wrapped the chain around Dragon’s throat and hurled him over the ropes. Whitmer held onto the chain as Jacobs go on the microphone, taunting Tyler Black. Eventually Black would hit the ring and make the save. Jacobs and Whitmer bailed, receiving boos galore from the fans.Special Attraction Match: Austin Aries def. Go ShiozakiThese two met last year in Japan, in Go’s ROH debut. They out did that match here. Lots of hard hitting action, plenty of chops and the fans ate it all up. Shiozaki dominated for the most part whilst Aries sold terrifically, putting over Go’s offense. Shiozaki would break the cardinal rule in any Aries matchup, do not put him in a head scissors. Aries would escape and make the comeback on Shiozaki, hitting all of his traditional spots. Aries would look to hit the Brainbuster however Go escaped and would go onto hit the German Suplex Hold for a close near fall. The pair would continue to trade falls until finally, Aries took Shiozaki to the mat, delivered several swift keens strikes before bridging over into the Horns of Aries. Shiozaki tapped giving Aries the victory. -After the match Aries made belt motions around his waist, saying “Davey Richards, Eddie Edwards ... I’m coming for you.”ROH World Tag Team Titles: The Revolution © def. Kotaro Suzuki & Ricky MarvinOutstanding tag team match between these two teams, Richards & Eddie Edwards have developed a great chemistry with one another since they teamed up and they gelled well with Suzuki & Marvin. Throughout the match there was relentless teasing that The Revolution would lose the belts, only for covers to be broken up at the last second, or millisecond timed kick outs. The fans were begging Suzuki and Marvin to take the belts off of Richards & Edwards and it looked as if they’d do just that when Suzuki connected with the Mist Crush Suplex. They would look to follow up with a Double team manoeuvre as Eddie Edwards was hoisted up on Suzuki’s shoulders. Marvin headed to the top however Richards would cut the intend attack off. He would pull Edwards free form Suzuki and the pair went to town on him with double team kicks. Edwards would then connect with the Backpack Stunner on Marvin which Davey immediately followed up with the DR Driver for the victory. -After the matchup, Richards & Edwards told Aries and Matt Cross to bring it tomorrow night. He would then claim a Revolution can’t be stopped.ROH World Title: Takeshi Morishima © def. Brent AlbrightHard hitting match between these two big men. Albright was able to withstand all of Morishima’s usual dominating offense and come back just as strong at the ROH World Champion. Albright, at one point would no-sell the Big Side Slam which appeared to worry the ROH World Champion. Albright thee everything he could at Morishima, impressively connecting with a Half Nelson Suplex late on. They teased the Albright victory with Morishima barely surviving however it would be the champion retaining the title, connecting with two huge lariats and finally the Backdrop Driver.

The show was good, not a huge fan of The Revolution though - it must be said. It's a shame Albright didn't win the belt and the Danielson/Jacobs angle was well done.

ROH: Revolution: Stage 2 (August 26th; Philadelphia, PA)
-Larry Sweeney expressed his anger and disappointment at Chris Hero & Claudio Castagnoli. He claimed that they embarrassed him last night before saying they better not do the same thing tonight. Sweeney asked Hero & Claudio if they are on the same page, to which both replied “Yes.”
Incoherence def. The Osirian Portal Amasis and Ophidian had another good showing tonight, this time against Delirious & Hallowicked. Delirious has slotted back into his mid-card comedy role after his ROH World Title run this year, and seems to be having as much fun as he can with it. Delirious’ reaction to Ophidian’s snake like offense was nothing short of hilarious and was really the focus of the matchup. Amasis had the chance to impress himself, coming close to the victory with the Twist of Funk on Hallowicked. However Incoherence took the win when Delirious nailed the Shadows over Hell.
Jimmy Rave def. Kevin Steen Solid matchup between these two, but at times they seemed to be a step or two off with one another. Rave worked over Steen’s leg for the most part, targeting the knee of Steen in particular. “Mr. Wrestling” would fight through it and later level the playing field, locking Rave in the Sharpshooter. Rave would reach the ropes but would now find himself on the back foot. Steen continued to dominate Rave, until he attempted the Superkick. It would be his downfall as Rave caught the leg, took Steen to the mat and applied the Heel Hook for the victory.
Four Corner Survival: Claudio Castagnoli w/ Larry Sweeney def. Jigsaw, El Generico & Chris Hero Great Four Corner Survival here, lots of action and each participant had their chance to shine. The Kings if Wrestling worked together for the most part, working through their differences. And once again, they worked cohesively until the last minute miscommunication. Claudio accidentally connected with the Bicycle Kick, taking Hero to the floor. El Generico tried to take advantage of Claudio with the rope assisted Tornado DDT, however Claudio countered. Generico would then walk into the Pop European Uppercut for the victory.
-After the match, Sweeney celebrated with Claudio as Hero watched on angrily. Hero shoved Claudio, asking him what was thinking. Claudio ignored Hero and continued to celebrate. Sweeney told Hero to get in the spirit and eventually Hero raised Claudio’s hand.
Special Attraction Match: Bryan Danielson & Tyler Black def. Kotaro Suzuki & Ricky Marvin Fantastic match between these two teams; Kotaro Suzuki & Ricky Marvin have excelled in almost all of their ROH outings and this match was no difference. Danielson and Black displayed some chemistry as a team and worked very well together. Danielson sold his injuries from the previous night throughout. He would play the face on peril for much of the match before getting the hot tag to Black. Black would clean house and take Suzuki into the stands which served as a set up for Danielson’s dive. Once the match got back to the ring, things really picked up. The two teams traded near falls back and forth,, each coming milliseconds close to victory. Eventually Danielson was able to take Suzuki to the mat, locking him in the Cattle Mutilation for victory.
--Intermission--
-During Intermission, Roderick Strong claimed he would win the battle of the chops when he squares up against Go Shiozaki.
--End Intermission--
FIP World Title: Roderick Strong © def. Go Shiozaki An extremely hard hitting contest here; it clocked in at nearly thirty minutes and undoubtedly stole the show. These two men just brutalised each other. Towards the end, Roderick even won over the fans with his offensive display, despite his recent allegiance with the most hated man on the roster Davey Richards. Lots of chop battles as you’d expect, Roderick’s chest was chopped roar by the final bell. Go came so close to the victory when he connected with the German Suplex Hold however Strong survived. It would take a boot to the face, the Death by Roderick, a chop for good measure and finally the Gibson Driver to put Go away.
ROH World Tag Team Titles: The Revolution © def. Austin Aries & Matt Cross Another somewhat lengthy match here, almost to lengthy which lead to some stalling in the middle. The match started out in a very physical fashion as you’d expect frpom these two feuding factions. Eventually Richards and Edwards would take control of Matt Cross, keeping him isolated in their corner of the ring. Cross would make the comeback on several occasions, only to be cut off. One such occasion saw Cross build up a head of steam and attempt a springboard manoeuvre, only to be Alarm Clocked by Richards in mid-air. Cross would eventually make the tag to Aries who got in all his usual spots, including a sick Suicide Dive that caused Edwards to be busted open the hard way. Edwards would continue the match, and nearly came close to losing the titles for his team when he suffered the Brainbuster. Richards would make the save and later hit the DR Driver on Cross to take victory.
-After the match, Davey Richards claimed the Revolution were two far two, referencing their successful back to back title defences.
ROH World Title: Takeshi Morishima © def. Jimmy Jacobs This was a total miss-match in styles, in size but somehow it managed to click. Jacobs played the underdog, willing to use any trick in the book to get the job done. Morishima on the other hand was just a beast who’d dismantle Jacobs at the opportune moment. Both men played their roles well and it lead to a decent tile defence. Spot of the match saw Jacobs attempt to lock in the Guillotine Choke on Morishima only for the ROH World Champion to hurl him over head with a Suplex. Jacobs would come close to victory after a big combination, ending with a Senton off the top however Morishima survived. And like so many of his previous title matches, Morishima eventually finished his opponent off with the Backdrop Driver.

As usual, nice layout, and write-ups were good. Rave winning is cool. Like the placement on the card of the 4-way match. Danielson winning the attraction match was the right call for sure. Strong winning is ok, not a huge fan. Like Richards getting the W, he's one of my favorite Indy guys. Pretty good main event to make Morishima look good.

Davey Richards, Eddie Edwards, Roderick Strong & Brent Albright have cost Austin Aries the ROH World Title, severely damaged Erick Stevens arm and have targeted the surgically repaired back of Mike Quackenbush. At Glory by Honor VII; Aries, Quack, Cross & Stevens will have their opportunity for retribution as they face off against The Revolution in two Fights without Honor! September 10th: At Revolution: Beginning, Jimmy Rave was assaulted in the locker room during intermission. Jimmy Rave has kept quiet as to the identity of his mystery attacker; however he has called him out on multiple occasions. Will we finally find out who was behind the attack at Glory by Honor VII? September 10th: Delirious has continually embarrasses Sweet N’ sour International over the last few months, out wrestling and defeating them on numerous occasions. Chris Hero & Claudio Castagnoli will have the opportunity to rectify these losses as they take on Delirious in singles matches back to back. Claudio will be looking for the momentum as he takes on Go Shiozaki on Night 2; a win over his rival and former ROH World Champion would certainly provide this. Hero will also be looking to get back on form, and he’ll have the opportunity to do this; not only against Delirious but in Four Corner Survival also featuring Hallowicked, Jigsaw & Eddie Kingston! September 10th: Also on Night 2, four teams will compete in ultimate Endurance, with the winners going onto face the ROH World Tag Team Champions at ROH’s very first PPV taping Bound by Honor. The Briscoe’s, The BLK OUT, The Osirian Portal, Hallowicked & Jigsaw will all be looking for the victory. and the chance to fight for the World tag Team championships on a National Stage.

I don't know to much about RoH, including most of their wrestlers. However, one thing I can comment on is your format and how crisp and easy it is. I also really enjoy your write up for the matches.

ROH: Glory by Honor VII; Night 1 (September 12th; Manhattan, NY)-Jimmy Rave came to the ring to set up the show. He would talk about is ROH World title shot, as well as the person that attacked him during intermission at Revolution: Beginning. Before he could go any further, Morishima hit the ring and their World Title match started, kicking Glory by Honor VII Off with bang.ROH World Title: Takeshi Morishima © def. Jimmy RaveVery physical matchup between these two; Morishima dominated for the most part however Rave was given every opportunity to impress. Rave would survive a vicious Morishima onslaught and even came close to victory with that move formerly known as Ghanarhea and the Heel Hook. It would not be his night however as Morishima would alter counter a Pedigree attempt, connect with a Lariat and finish Rave off with the Backdrop Driver. The Briscoe’s def. The Osirian PortalThe Osirian Portal were given another look in ROH with this match, they tried all of their usual tactics however they would not work against the rough and tough Briscoe Brothers. Amasis and Ophidian would attempt the Snake Charmer on Mark, his response was a series of throat thrusts to Ophidian and a Superkick for Amasis. The Portal would pick it up later on and Ophidian nearly surprised Jay with a rolling Prawn hold for a close near fall. Similarly, Amasis would connect with the Twist of Funk for a near fall of his own. However The Briscoe’s, as you’d expect walked away victors, connecting with the Springboard Doomsday Device. Delirious def. Claudio Castagnoli w/Larry SweeneyClaudio Castagnoli looked to continue his winning ways against the man that has outwrestled him and his Kings of Wrestling partner Chris Hero as of late. In the early going Castagnoli fared far better than he has in recent weeks however things would soon take an abrupt turn and it would be Delirious walking away with victory, following a Panic Attack and Shadows over Hell. -After the match, Claudio Castagnoli had seemingly reached the end of his tether. He delivered a Bicycle kick to Delirious as Sweeney cheered him on. Eventually Hero joined the assault until Hallowicked and Jigsaw made the save. Eddie Kingston would soon join the fray beginning the schedule Four Corner Survival Match.Four Corner Survival: Eddie Kingston def. Jigsaw, Hallowicked & Chris Hero w/ Larry SweeneyHero has seemingly pissed everyone off in this match at some point, and it showed as all of the other participants went to work on him. The match would gradually settle into a more tag like formula with Kingston and Hero paring up. Their partnership would not last long however as Kingston turned on Hero only minutes later. Hallowicked and Jigsaw would work together throughout and both men nearly took victory, with the Graveyard Smash and Jig N’ Tonic respectively. It would be Kingston’s night however as he laid Jigsaw out with a brutal Spinning Backfist. --Intermission---Steen, Generico, Austin Aries & Mike Quackenbush were backstage. All four men made it clear they’re going to right the wrongs done by Davey Richards and his Revolution.--End Intermission--Grudge Match: Jimmy Jacobs & BJ Whitmer def. Bryan Danielson & Tyler BlackTyler Black and Bryan Danielson charged to the ring to start the match and the two teams immediately began brawling. Things did not slow at all and continued to escalate as they made they way into the crowd. Tyler Black and Jimmy Jacobs brawled all over the building as Whitmer and Danielson eventually made it back to the ring. Danielson would take Whitmer down with a huge running knee to the face before connecting with repeated elbow strikes to the side of Whitmer’s head. Jacobs would make the save having dispatched of Tyler in the crowd. Momentarily he and Whitmer would double team Danielson until Black hit the ring. He cleaned house on Jacobs and Whitmer at looked set to pick up the victory after the Paroxysm. He headed up top for the Phoenix splash however Jacobs cut him off, pushing him from his perch into the rails below. As the ref checked on Black’s condition, Jacobs would once again pull out the chain used in the Dog Collar match, using it on Danielson. This would be enough to pick up the victory. -After the match, Jacobs continued his assault, hammering away at Danielson with the chain. Whitmer and Jacobs beat down Dragon before Jacobs got on the microphone. Jacobs begged Lacey to come out and throw in the towel like she did at Death Before Dishonor. Lacey would not show however a recovered Tyler Black would enter the ring. He ran off Jacobs and Whitmer before telling Jacobs he’ll see him tomorrow night.Special Attraction Match: Nigel McGuinness def. Go ShiozakiReally good, hard hitting match here; story of the match was pretty much the chop vs. the lariat. Go would go after Nigel with chops, trying to wear him down whilst McGuinness would wipe Shiozaki out with Lariat after Lariat. Go refused to stay down and came close to victory following a German Suplex Hold. However the Lariat would win out eventually, after Go delivered a huge chop to Nigel, McGuiness would seesaw in the ropes before exploding back at Go with the Jawbreaker. Fight without Honor: The Revolution def. Austin Aries & Mike QuackenbushBrent Albright and Roderick Strong represented The Revolution here, in a match very similar to the early contest between black, Danielson, Whitmer & Jacobs. These two teams brawled around ringside earlier where Strong attempted to replicate the Gibson Driver onto the guard rails spot with Quack. Aries would make the save this time and gain the upper hand for long. He did not keep it for long as Albright destroyed both opponents like the beast he is. This allowed The Revolution some time to re-arrange the furniture, setting up tables at ringside and introducing steel chairs into the ring. Strong set up a pair of chairs, back to back before driving Quackenbush back first across it with the a back breaker. Quack was the Awesome bombed from inside the ring to tables on the outside by Albright, effectively taking him out of the matchup. Aries thought bravely and even came close to victory after a Brainbuster on Strong. However The Revolution would once again get stand tall, following an Albright Half Nelson Suplex. ROH World Tag Team Titles: El Generico & Kevin Steen def. The Revolution ©El Generico & Kevin Steen gave Davey Richards & Eddie Edwards the match of their lives here. Steenerico just absolutely refused to lose and it made for an extremely exciting affair that the fans were on their feet for. These four men busted out nearly every move in their arsenal to keep the other day, and both times came excruciatingly close only for advisories to kick out. For the most part of the matchup, Davey and Edwards would work over Steen’s knee taking him out of commission leaving Generico to go it alone. Generico came out of this looking like an absolute star, just refusing to stay down. Edwards connected with the 2K1 Bomb, Generico kicked out; Davey hit the DR Driver, to no avail. Eventually, The Revolution became frustrated and elected to try and cheat their way to victory. Davey retrieved one of the ROH World Tag Team Title belts and prepared to use it, however Aries would run in and prevent it. Austin would take the belt and level Richards with it himself. Aries followed up with a Punt/Brainbuster combination, setting Richards up for the Swanton/Frog splash combination by Generico & Steen for the victory. -After the match, Steen & Generico celebrated with their titles.

Interesting starting off the show with the World Title match. Glad Delirious won; can't stand Sweeney at ringside. Eddie Kingston push please. I'm actually unsure of the Tag Titles being in the main event while the ROH Title opened the show. Sorry for the lame-ish reply, I left a better one for your Raw 2005; I'm not as fimilar with ROH.

-Wasn't a fan of 'Shima as Champ in real life, but it's going better here. Good win for him -Haven't been impressed with the Portal so far so I'm glad the Briscoes won -Surprised Deirious won -Kingston winning is nice, hoping for a big Hero/Kingston brawl soon -Surprised Jacobs & Whitmer won as Dragon & Black are a dream team for me. I love me some Lacey so it sucks that she didn't show -Thank god Nigel won, as much as I like Go, Nigel is awesome -The Revolution is a fantastic stable, although I like Aries & Quack more, so I'm not too happy with them losing -Loved the Tag Titles going on last, very realistic. Glad Steenerico retained but I do feel that Edwards & Richards' time is coming Fantastic show man. And it happened in NY which means I'd probably be there lol. Keep it up.

ROH: Glory by Honor VII; Night 2 (September 13th; Manhattan, NY)-El Generico & Kevin Steen cut a promo talking about their ROH World Tag Team title victory. Steen claimed it was good to be back on top, and now they finally get to settle their rivalry with Kotaro Suzuki & Ricky Marvin. Steen recapped their string of matches last year as well as the two consecutive pin falls Ricky Marvin scored over him. Steen claimed tonight, they’re the champions, not the challengers. And that gives Steenerico the edge.Delirious def. Chris Hero w/ Larry SweeneyChris Hero upped his game here and fared a lot better against Delirious here. Hero even came close to victory when he hit Delirious with a huge series of moves, ending with a Rolling Elbow. Delirious would kick out at two, much to Hero’s frustration. In the end it would be Sweeney, barking the orders on the floor that cost Hero the match. Distracting Hero with instructions, he allowed Delirious to sneak in the back door, connecting with the Chemical Imbalance and finally Shadows over Hell for the victory. -After the match, Sweeney asked Hero what the hell he was thinking. Hero tried to explain that Sweeny was the course of his loss however this only drew a sklap from Sweeny. Sweeney told Hero to get his act together or he’s out of Sweet N’ Sour International.Ultimate Endurance: The Briscoe’s def. The BLK OUT, The Osiran Portal &Hallowicked & JigsawWild start to this match, which was contested under scramble rules for the first fall. The Osirian Portal had the chance to impress and got the first pin fall in ROH completion, eliminating Hallowicked & Jigsaw when Amasis and Ophidian connected with the Osirian Sacrament. The Portal’s good fortune would no continue on into the second fall (competed under No Disqualification Rules) however and eventually fell to a Briscoe Springboard Doomsday Device. The third fall went right down to the wire, with these two former rival teams going toe to toe. Eventually Mark Briscoe would dispatch of Joker allowing The Briscoe Brothers to hit the Spiked J-Driller for the victory. Order of Elimination;1) Hallowicked & Jigsaw (By The Osirian Portal) 2) The Osirian Portal (By The Briscoe’s) 3) The BLK OUT (By The Briscoe’s) Special Attraction Match: Claudio Castagnoli def. Go ShiozakiSleeper hit of the night here. Claudio really brought his A-game and the pair put together a very good matchup. Claudio and Go had several chop vs. European Uppercut exchanges, one of which saw Shiozaki telegraph the uppercut, avoid it and take Castagnoli to the mat with the Backslide. -Jimmy Rave came to the ring to call out the man that attacked him at Revolution: Beginning. Before the challenge is answered, Larry Sweeney’s theme music hits. Sweeney made his way out from the back, microphone in hand. Sweeney rambled on, ultimately distracting Rave. This allowed Bison Smith to make his way through the crowd and assault Jimmy from behind.Bison Smith w/ Larry Sweeney def. Jimmy RaveSmith physically dissected Rave from the outset; however the resilient Rave would mount an offensive and even managed to lock in the Heel hook. However this match existed purely to bring in Smith and put him over an established star in ROH. And he eventually did that, hitting the Skull Vice Slam and Bisontennial for the victory. -After the match, Sweeney announced we’re looking at the newest member of Sweet N’ sour International; Bison Smith.--Intermission---Nigel McGuinness cut a mid-show promo. He said he’s been out of the ROH spotlight for too long, and tonight it’s time to step back in. Nigel said he doesn’t care how many Lariats it takes ... “He’s in it, to win it!”--End Intermission--Lights Out Match: Jimmy Jacobs def. Tyler BlackMatch started out very physical with some brawling around ringside. Jacobs used an assortment of weapons and plunder, teasing the ten count early on. Jacobs would nail Tyler Black with a number of chair shots before returning to the ring. Tyler would make it to his feet before ten, surviving much to Jacobs’ frustration. Eventually Black would make the comeback, and come close to victory with the Paroxysm onto a steel chair. Jacobs just made it back to a vertical base and would eventually take victory, once again putting the chain from the Dog Collar to use. He wrapped it around his fist and nailed Black with a right hand, finally keeping Black down for ten. -As Erick Stevens & Matt Cross made their entrance, Davey Richards and Eddie Edwards attacked commencing a four on two beat down. The revolution of Richards, Edwards, Strong & Albright looked to do further damage to Steven’s arm however before they could, Austin Aries & Mike Quackenbush charged out to make the save. Fight without Honor: Austin Aries, Erick Stevens, Matt Cross & Mike Quackenbush def. The RevolutionSimilar match to last night’s, only with eight man instead of four; lots of craziness around ringside and crowd before they eventually made it back into the ring. Stevens eventually suffered a brutal chair shot to the arm before. Roderick Strong then placed the chair across it, pinned the chair laced arm behind Steven’s back and delivered a backbreaker. Stevens was effectively taken out of commission and was assisted to the back by the ROH Students. With the numbers game in their favour, The Revolution looked to have firm control. That is, until Austin Aries snapped. Aries laid every member of The Revolution out with steel chair shots before drilling Richards with the Brainbuster on top of a chair. Aries would follow up with the 450 splash for the victory and a measure of revenge on Richards. ROH World Tag Team Titles: El Generico & Kevin Steen © def. Kotaro Suzuki & Ricky MarvinHell of a tag team match, plenty of fast paced action from opening bell to closing. There was a real focus on Marvin and Steen as Marvin tried to catch Steen with repeated roll ups. Steen refused to fall to Marvin again and survived them all. Eventually Generico would get isolated by Marvin & Suzuki however when he finally made the tag all hell broke loose. These four guys took it to another level here, topping their previous encounters with this one. Eventually Steen & Generico would finally defeat Suzuki & Marvin, connecting with the Assembly Line for the victory. -After the match, all four of these men shook hands before Suzuki & Marvin strapped the titles around Generico & Steen waists. The fans chanted “ROH!” as they posed for the crowd.ROH World Title: Takeshi Morishima © def. Nigel McGuinnessKing’s Road styled match here, with the drama building and building until the climax. The story was all about Nigel’s will to be champion as he survived Morishima’s onslaught and came firing back at him. Spot of the match saw Morishima launch himself off the top, connecting with the Missile dropkick only for Nigel to stagger back and Seesaw between the ropes. Nigel came exploding towards the ROH World Champion, hitting the Jawbreaker Lariat and only getting a two count for his troubles. The fans fully expected a title change by the end however it was not to be as Morishima caught Nigel with a big side slam on a second Jawbreaker attempt, before finishing McGuinness off with the Backdrop Driver. Without a doubt, Morishima’s best title defence to date.

I apologize in advance if this is a lackluster reply since I don't know a whole lot about ROH. Wonder what will come out of Sweeney/Hero. I was pulling for BLK OUT but understandable to have Briscoes win. I liked the eight-man tag, it sort of changes things up a little bit on the show. Glad tag champs retained, I don't know the challengers. I feel like Morishima has had the belt forever but he's been a really credible champion.

Good opening contest to kick off Glory By Honor VII: Night Two, but I really would of prefered seeing Chris Hero go over Delirious, but I see you're planning to push Delirious, so it's all good. Solid three-way tag team 'Ultimate Endurance' match, I like that The Briscoe Brothers went over, Hallowicked and Jigsaw appearance? Sweet. Haha, The Osirian Portal. Claudio Castagnoli beating Go Shiozaki is dissappointing, would of loved Shiozaki going over. Disliked Bison Smith beating Jimmy Rave, hope Rave isn't the new jobber on the ROH block. Awesome Light's Out match, as well as the Fight without Honor. Solid international bout for the ROH World Tag Team Championships. Wow, fantastic ROH World Championship defense by Takeshi Morishima against Nigel McGuinness.
