Ultimate Spiderman 2 is awesome... I didn't like what happened but no one can deny thats its going to be one of the biggest challenges Parker has ever faced. This comic is going to be quite different after this arc, which might be a bad thing we'll just have to see. I really want to talk about it but don't want to spoil it for others as its actually one of the biggest things to happen in the comics. I wonder who the next villian will be. I'm hoping for Vulture, Scorpian, Lizard or maybe Harry as the Green Goblin. He's been gone since his father died, what they could do is say the brain washing his father had used on him wears off and he breaks down knowing his father doesn't love him... finally going off the deep end and turning himself into the Goblin. Who are all the badguys we've seen now? Shocker Electro Kingpin Green Goblin Doc Ock Venom Carnage Kraven Rhino Thats all I can think of. Not a bad list but I think Bendis needs to create his own villians... he's changed so much about the orignal characters he may as well. Anybody out there read Incredible Hulk? I've always been a big Hulk fan, but the Bruce Jones run has been off the charts! I read somewhere reciently that Jones will soon be leaving, and that the title will be on "hiatus" for at least 6 months. Anyone else have news on that? It is going on hiatus but thats so they can work on another Hulk title, it "may" be She Hulk I'm not sure... then he's meant to be returning back to Hulk. That might of changed since I heard this, I'm not a big Hulk fan so don't stay up to date.

We've seen the Lizard already. He was in an issue of Ultimate Team-up, which there was a flashback of in the "Venom" arc of Ultimate Spider-man. Also, as far as I know(I stopped reading a few months ago), Norman Osborn isn't dead, he was just wounded.
Bendis created an original villain/character a while ago, and he absolutely sucked. So I don't know if thats the best route.

Which badguy did Bendis create?

Ultimate Team-Up #10, it was Man-Thing and the Lizard against Spider-man. The flashback occured in (i think) the last issue of the Venom arc when Peter talks to Doc Connors in his lab. Bendis created Geldoff, a foreign exchange student who had mutant powers. There were faint signs of a possible Dr. Doom evolution for Geldoff(which have since been deminished by Dr. Doom being in UF4), and also that he was some sort of mutant hybrid. The whole thing was pretty much a cluster****, and was the reason I dropped US-M.

Alright, I read Ultimate Spider-Man, Marvel Knights Spider-Man, Amazing Spider-Man, Ultimate X-Men, The Ultimates, Ultimate Fantastic Four, Thanos and Silver Surfer. I just started getting the Unmaked mini-series and the Secret War one too. I have my monthlys and then if there is a cool mini-series I pick those up as well.
Spoiler (because I want to discuss it)
Ultimate Spider-Man 62, where do I begin? I think that Carnage killing Gwen with little to no build up really blows ass. I love Ultimate Gwen and I like reading about her and what she brings to the Spider-Man universe. They killed her off way to fast in my opinion and she didn't do enough in her seemingly short run, but what she did do, I liked. I think Bendis just did this to give Carnage instant credibility as a bad guy even though, it is just some out of control goo with Parkers mind.

NO!" while reading the last few pages. I really did like her as a character, but I was feeling like her run was about done. I do like the idea of having both Gwen and Mary being able to help Peter cover for his outings, but I think they did all they could do with her. I think she should have seen Carnage, and ran, and got away, but it keeps chasing her. Like she tells Peter, so Peter goes to Conners, etc. But all I can say is, I can't wait to see Peter go nuts on Carnage, screaming as he is beating it's ass. Unless of course, Peter can't beat Carnage... All I can say is, this comic is my favorite of all time. I wonder how May will take the news next issue.....

My favorite Ultimate Spider-Man comic is Number 13 where he tells Mary Jane that he is Spider-Man. Classic stuff right there. My god I laughed so much at Aunt May shouting at them... the AHHHHH AHHHHHHH.... the sound of the bed. Great stuff Spoiler for 62 I so wanted Gwen not to die... I'm hoping, and this is a first, they someone bring her back. I want Harry to return as the Gwen/Harry thing was teased but Harry left before anything could happen. I didn't like Harry when he first appeared but his return marked a dawn of a new Harry era, he was cool, funny and badass! Gwen was one of the most interesting characters in the comic right now apart from Peter. May is a bit of an annoying bitch and MJ is a wishy washy girlfriend, very plain. If they don't bring Gwen or Harry back they really need to start working on creating someone backup characters... that was oneof the best things Spiderman had when it first started and this is the one thing Bendis should try and copy.

My god I laughed so much at Aunt May shouting at them... the AHHHHH AHHHHHHH.... the sound of the bed. Great stuff Yeah, the only way to describe that situation was uncomfortable. It was exactly the way it happens in real life, which is what makes the story so great. It has it's body out in fantasy, but it's roots are grounded in reality. When there is an issue where Spider-Man isn't around, the story is amazing and it almost feels real. It's great.

Thats why I love it... they didn't need to stick that in, most comics would skip over that but they didn't. The stuck it in and it does make it seem real. I hate these superhero's when when their undercover, in their "normal" life they acted just as super as the super hero... its dull and power. I like that Peter is like you or me, kinda lets you think your Spiderman ;D

(uhh... Spoilers):
they killed Gwen? Bendis blows. the one oppurtunity he had to make things right(killing MJ, making Gwen be Peter's true love as she should have been in the regular marvel universe), and he blows it for a cheap shock. what i've suspected for a long time apparently seems true... Bendis just blows. if it isn't his ridiculously corny dialogue, its his failure to compile any kind of long-lasting drama. his only redeemable work has been on DareDevil, which I will admit has been very good.

Well give it at least an issue to see where it goes. I admit that I didn't like Gwen getting killed, but you never know where it will go. Will Aunt May die of shock? Will Peter be so crushed he realizes he loved Gwen more than Mary? Will life just go on? How will Peter react when he find out Carnage killed her, and is part him? How will this change his relationship with Conners? All of these questions I can't wait to see the answers to. Just don't jump to conclusions. I had my doubts about Kingpin returning, but it turned out great.

You've got 40 years of 616 Spider-man history, and Bendis has used a ton of their huge plotpoints(death of one Peter's "love interests," the death of Captain Stacy, etc.) in just a handful of years. Either they don't plan on having Ultimare Spider-man last too long, or Bendis just needs to slow it down.

Bendis and Bagley are trying to beat Stan Lee and Jack Kirby's record for most consecutive issues on a series. I think Lee and Kirby went like 152 issues on Fantastic Four, so there's a ways left to go. I think one of the reasons I dislike Ultimate Spider-Man is what you pointed out: Benids is going through all the old Spider-man mythos and doing it again. If he's such a bgreat writer, he should be creating a completely new mythos. The fact that Bendis has only created one original villain is crazy. Why rewrite Spider-man when it was done so well the first time around? Don't just rewrite the stories of guys that came 30 years before you using the excuse "The continuity is so complex, no one can understand it!" You know what? I wasn't around 40 years ago when Amazing started, and I understand everything perfectly fine! I just wish Bendis had taken an original approach to Ultimate Spider-Man the way Ultimate X-Men, The Ultimates, and now Ultimate Fantastic Four did. There has only been one rehashing of an old plot point in 50 issues of UXM, the Phoenix bit, and that's such a huge part of the Jean Grey charcater that they couldn't leave it out. Look at what Mark Millar did on Ultimates. If it wasn't the team mebers names, you wouldn't know it was the Avengers. Every story and villain has been unique to the Ultimate Universe. Bendis needs to make his unique Mark on Spider-Man. Instead of saying "Ooh, it'd be cool to re-invent Rocket Racer!", he should be creating something completely original. When there is an issue where Spider-Man isn't around, the story is amazing and it almost feels real. It's great. I don't think Bendis writes superheroes well. I know fanboys are supposed to think he's God, but that's the way I feel. Benidis excels in writing stories about people. That's why when there's an issue of USM that doesn't involve Spider-Man, it stands out. That's why The Pulse is such a great comic, IMO. Benids isn't writing Spider-Man vs. The Green Goblin. He's writing ben Urich reporting on Spider-Man vs. Green Goblin. And that makes all the difference.

lol I found a site where you could enter your collection and it said 30 issues of my collection added up to $300. I can't add anymore or I have to pay.
Anyone know any other sites that are free where you can do this?

I can't stand DC comics... I just can't help it. I just can't enjoy them, their may be one I haven't read that I might enjoy but all the ones I've tried didn't click.
What is Deadpool is he a mutant? I've got Deapool 0 and got 1 on the way and he seems cool but I'm not sure what he is.

By that I mean he may be dead & has the ability to regenerate limbs etc like "The Crow". That might be a logical expliation. He's a link with info about him. www.strw.leidenuniv.nl/~vlemming/deadpool.html
