Yep guys, showing him that there would be enough interest the forum will really help our case. Have done. I hate been stuck in one topic/having to visit other sites... I like talking about it here, more friendly. I'd also get more people to join here if we had a comic forum, till then though their happy. Anywho, whats everything think of the "Clone Saga"? I figure its one of the most talked about storylines of our time so could make for some good chat. I personally loved it, up until they said "Peter is the clone". That killed it for me. I'm still trying to buy up alot of the Clone Saga comics I find cause I love them, The Lost Years is a great mini series I just wish I had #0 to complete my collection of it.

Whats everyone think of Venom's new look? I prefer the old one, I don't like the eyes... their making him too much like a spider. Could of been worse though.

If I ever become mod of ENT......Comics is becoming part of ENT. Despite the fact that I'm probably low on the choice for mod spots - ditto.

There's currently two floating around the Marvel U. If that's Eddie Brock Venom, that's sucks, cause it was always such a cool costume. If it's the other Venom, I could care less. That looks like a cartton panel, though. Or maybe Terry Dodson's artwork. Mark Millar should not be using Venom already. They just used him in Spectacular Spider-Man. BTW, I spent $85.55 at the comic store today! What a great day for comics! My buys include: Bone: The One Book (the complete series in one volume)- $40! Powers (2 issues) Mystique Astonishing X-Men Excalibur Avengers #500 JLA: Another Nail Last Train to Deadsville: A Cal McDonald Mystery Fantastic Four Ultimate Fantastic Four Marvel Nights 4 That should keep me occupied for a while.

Ahh... That Venom is from Marvel Knight's Spider-Man.
Anyone know where that comic fits in? Possible future I heard but I haven't managed to pick it up yet to see.

That Venom actually looks pretty cool. I admit it's a pretty radical change, but sometimes change is needed.
Anyone else already tired of the symbiote stories? They brought them back slowly after severely oversaturating the market years ago, and as soon as people showed their aproval, Venom got his own series, Venom vs. Carnage started, USM got Ultimate Venom, then Ultimate Carnage, and every Spider-Man set had a Venom come in. It's following the same path as before. Now, instead of seeing Venom come back every year or so, it will be every 5 years because of oversaturation. Which sucks because Venom is my favorite villian of all time. Mostly because black costume Spider-Man is my favorite Spider-Man era.

Anyone else already tired of the symbiote stories? Its kinda like Wolverine... We like something so they make tons of similar characters and put the orignal in almost every damn title. I love Wolverine, Venom etc. but I want to see more of the smaller names given a shot. Try something new, they can't stick with these characters for ever they've got to try and create new "big name" characters. Today I got: Ultimate X-Men 21-25 Spider-Man 64, Amazing Spider-Man 407 and Spectacular Spider-Man 230 (Where Ben becomes Spider-Man) So an awesome day for me, not many people like the Clone Saga but I'm a pretty big fan of it. I'm trying to get my hands on "The Osborn Journal" but its such a bitch to find. That brings my collection to 131 ;D I highly recommend anyone who is a fan of Spider-Man to go to this sitewww.newcomicreviews.com/GHM/specials/LifeOfReilly/Its by a guy who worked on the Spider-Man comics at the time of the Clone Saga and its a great run down of what happened in the pages and behind them. I'm almost finished reading it, theres alot to read!

WeeZiTe, couldn't help but notice the batman in your sig, just wondering if you read Batman, or if your just another marvel fanboy. This comic thread should basically be re-named the Marvel comic spread or better yet the spiderman thread, cause that's all it is, just hoping there s someone else here who reads DC

Also the reason is this thread is all Marvel cause it's booming right now they've had alot of movies lately and DC hasn't had a movie since Batman & Robin. Plus I haven't seen you try and start a conversation about DC comics and what stories they're having right now so quit ya bitchin'

Start collecting something we don't enjoy just so you can talk about it? Its not our fault we don't like it. I'd be very happy to link you too two of the best comic forums I know of with active DC Forums. Don't call us fanboys, your a DC fanboy... I'm sure DC will have another boom period after the Batman movies. Anyway, did anyone pick up Rogue or Venom vs. Carnage? I just got a good price on them from an import store I do lots of deals with on ebayand such so didn't turn that down as they were JUST released and wanted to try them. Are they any good, without giving spoilers? Hopefully the store is going to see if they have Doctor Octavious: Year One #2, The Lost Years #0 and The Osborn Journal for me. I finally got to read Ultimate X-Men too. 21-25, I forgot the arc. I was highly impressed. I didn't like how half way through the arc the art changed to a very anime type style but it was great seeing Beast tricked by Blob into thinking he was some smart supermodel on the net. The Hellfire Club scenes with Jean were great too. AWESOME comic and so glad I subscribbed with the Ultimate Spider-Man deal they had. Anyone got Days Of Future Past? I had the book a few years back and decided to pick up the comics. Yum yum!

I don't really read much DC since the continuity is even more convoluted than marvel's (and that's saying a lot), but I do enjoy the Elseworld stories and the animated DCU. I am currently reading Batman Adventures, Justice League Adventures, and JLA: Another Nail. Past favorite DC stories include Kingdom Come, and the Alex Ross/Paul Dini "digest-sized" one-shots. If you wanna talk about any of those, bring something up.

Speaking of DC... what are the cross overs like? You know the DC/Marvel team ups?
I figure I'll try them and I might... might... get into DC characters like Batman etc.

Plus I haven't seen you try and start a conversation about DC comics and what stories they're having right now so quit ya bitchin' This is before i got delted Meh! all marvel talk, i hate marvel. SO anyways, today i bought superman/batman # 11, which was great. I also got the new JLA. I am not a huge superman fan, although the last 3 issues have been great, jim lee is awesome. Th enew JLA was about superman. he trusts this other superhero to hold this tube in a fire and it explodes and the new superhero dies and superman blames himself. so in the upcoming issues we will see how he deals with it. It was a great comic. I also finsihed Kingdom Come which was one of the best comics i've read. Very well done. Batman is done very well in the comic, his sarcastic dry humor is very well done too and is enjoyable. anways so my those are my little reveiws. SO its not like i've never tried, and i don't have a problem with marvel fans, my best friend is one, i just have a problem with marvel.

Do you want the link to the two comic forums I like? Their DC section is just as active as their Marvel... so I'm sure you'll love the place as much as I do. How do you lot cover the costs for your comic collection? I love reading so much, I can read like 5 issues a day... I'm always trying to get new ones even though I love re-reading but its getting damn expensive.

Speaking of DC... what are the cross overs like? You know the DC/Marvel team ups? I figure I'll try them and I might... might... get into DC characters like Batman etc. The JLA/Avengers crossover from last year was simply amazing. I would highly recommend picking it up. I'd also suggest the huge DC/Marvel crossover from like 8 years ago, as well as the Amalgam series, because it'll introduce you to a lot of DC characters in small doses. I have a job, and I live with my folks, so no rent or food bills. So much of my paycheck goes to comics and figs, it's crazy. BTW, if you could PM me with a link to one of those comics forums, I'd be delighted. I've been looking for one.
