am i the only one here who does not read spiderman or marvel? ANyone read JLA, Batman, Superman, or Green Lantern? I generally dislike DC, but I enjoy their Vertigo line. Currently the only DC I read is Y - The Last Man, which has realy picked up lately, and H-E-R-O. I only really read both because they're interesting concepts.

I used to read Superman, but it got old, because he's just too powerfull. Sure, he's got kryptonite as a weakness, but that's only one thing.
I read Green Lantern for a short stint, but never really got into it.
I read the "Hush" Batman storyline, which was awesome. It was a great concept, I only wish the team would have stayed for more than 12 issues.
But as far as Ultimate Spider-Man goes, I only see 2 real camps of people. One group hate how much has changed, and the other hate how little has changed. I think they are getting a lot of the older storylines done now because the new stuff is coming. I admit that everything seems to happen really fast, but I have yet to see an issue that is slow paced that has no story advances. I have read every issue, and I find each more captivating than the last. I have full faith and confidence in Benis and crew.
Does anyone actively read Ultimate X-Men? I tried to get on in the beginning, but I found it to be bland as hell. I mean, it seems like the only thing that made it unique was that all the women had their buttcracks hanging out. I didn't see anything fresh or "ultimate" about it. Maybe I just didn't stay on long enough.
And speaking of comic books, Ghostbusters Legion issue two comes out tomorrow, I can't wait. Everything about it is surreal. It's just been so long since Ghostbusters had a spotlight run, it's almost like anything would just be kick ass. But it actually reads great, and the art is amazing. It's just like watching the movie. I know how I will spend tomorrow night, as I plan on racking up a pretty hefty bill at the comic shop tomorrow, heh heh.

Deadpool is a mutant. He went through the same Weapon X program that Wolverine, Sabretooth, etc. went through. I think he has some sort of healing powers and super-reflexes and such.
I read Ultimate X-Men. I have since the start. There was a lot of "unique" things about it, IMO. Colossus is not the gentle soul he is in the regular Marvel U, he's a Russian mobster. Wolverine was an assasin hired by Magento to off the X-Men (which I don't think they ever found out, BTW). Wolverine stabbed Cyclops in the Savgae Land and left him to die so he wouldn't have competition for Jean! Besides the classic Brotherhood vs. X-Men fight, there hasn't been one re-hashed X-men story (except for the obligatory Phoenix thing).

I got the first TPB of Ultimate X-Men, and it was just really wordy. It seemed like pages and pages of huge word balloons. Maybe it was all the Magneto speak, but it just got to be tiring for me after awhile.
I am mad now because Ultimate Spider-Man 63 comes out when I am driving back to school. So that means when we stop I am going to have to pick it up on Thursday. I was hoping to leave that Wednesda evening, so I could go pick it up and read it on the way, but, no dice.
Anyone else pick up Ghostbusters Legion 2 yesterday?

I've never really liked comics, but lately I've found myself addicted to the new Street Fighter comics.

Has anyone read, or know anyone who has read, Route 666? It looked pretty decent, and I have heard one or two positive reviews, but nothing real concrete. Anyone heard anything definate? I was thinking about checking it out, but I don't want to get it if it's not worth my time.

Deadpool is a mutant. He went through the same Weapon X program that Wolverine, Sabretooth, etc. went through. I think he has some sort of healing powers and super-reflexes and such. He wasn't born a mutant, though. He had cancer, then went into Weapon X. They did the experiments and shit, and he failed the tests that they did to put him into their super hero program (think alpha flight), as well as the fact that all his skin rotted off. When someone fails, they're put in thet Dead Pool (hence the name) and basically just left their to die. Wade broke out of the Dead Pool, and yeah...went back being a merc, except he wore a mask now.

Astonishing X-Men #3 and Avengers #500 both come out Wednesday. Marvel is not garbage, BTW. Those are the only ones I can think of that are coming out this week that I would recommend.

They'll have to be a few weeks old, damn old UK! I may try and get Astonishing X-Men 2 if they have that one. BTW I subscribbed up for: Uncanny X-Men Amazing Spider-Man Ultimate Spider-Man Ultimate X-Men I wasn't going to get UXM but the deal on thatand USM was too good to pass up, so to whoever was looking to talk about UXM in a few weeks/months I'll be all up for some of that. Can anyone help me find a program to store my collection on? I'd love one with a price guide on as wellI did find one that let you add your collection (with variants covers etc.) and told you how much their worth but it only let you put on 30 comics before you had to pay for an account. I'm currently doing it on Word but now I have over 100 comics and its growing every week that just isn't working. Can anyone help?
