- USA!!!! England was great, Infact Ive been to a lot of cool places but as cool as they are they all in some way make me yearn for the states.

Hello Jesse, Just reposting my question, which was if the original scarlet witch (the one shown at toy fair 2005) was re-done for the x-treme x-men rogue? or if the x-treme rogue was somehow based on or has anything to do with the original scarlet witch prototype's sculpt, and if youd know why Emma Frost is so tiny, thanks for your time!
- The bodies were both done by the same sculptor.

you and toybiz /marvel toys have been very innovative when it comes to the amount of articulation applied to your character design, as far as the process, at what point do you decide the figure needs more or less articulation? and when the amount of articulation is decided on , do you have a check list of standard articulation for that particular character OR a standard amount for every figure in general ?
- It really is a case bt case basis. you really can't do doube articulation in the elbows of the bigger guys but you can do more with the finger's and toes. so you have to look at each character diferently.

For example a figure like Iron-Spiderman, which is a very good figure , would benefit from articulation/ pegged movement in mid-forearm, waist and calve .
could these three articulation points been overlooked because of the overall design or did cost and safety factor into the final product?
- Well that was something that we developed that hasbro manufacutred. so I think that the cost did play into that piont of articulation not being added.

Watching the news in HK, did you find it kinda hilarious when those dudes were arrested for bootleg toys in the HK Toyfair? Or you are used to it? Did you get to see the police escort them out?
- No. we were in a seperate showroom not connected to anything, so I didnt see this story. Can you post a link?

If Sasquash didn't make it into ML12 and you were going to do the figure today, would he have to be a BAF to cost out now due to size?
- Probably.

I have a question(wow) was ML5 Nick Fury originally planed to come with a cigar? cause its kinda obvouis his mouth is sculpted in such a way that one could have possibly been done for him.(no prob though, like others i just took a end of a toothpick and trimmed it painted it and glued it into his mouth)
- No he was never going to come witha cigar. But we did design him so that IF you wanted to make on and put it in his mouth you could.

When you say that the Marvel Heroes assortment will move to 5" -- I'm just curious, will it be five-inch SCALE (with smaller characters having figures under 5" and larger characters having figures over 5") or will all the figures generally be at 5", like with the out-of-scale, but totally awesome, '90s X-Men/X-Force line?
- I'm not working on the heroes line so dont shoot me if I get this wrong, But I believe that the figures are done in scale w/ one another.

Jesse, don't know if you'l be able to answer this or not, but do you know what kind of stuff Hasbro will be showing at the UK Toy Fair next week? I'll be there on the friday, and it'd make my day if there was new stuff...
- I really dont know what there going to show.

A report came out today regarding oil prices are at a 19 month low. That being the case, will this affect costs for the materials ML uses?
If so, is there any possibility of throwing in larger BAF's similar to Giant Man, Sentinel, or Galactus in future Hasbro ML waves?
- yeah! there at a 19 month low THIS MONTH!!!! Wait a month.

1. Out of all the places you've traveled to for Toybiz/Marvel Toys, where has been your favorite? I know you enjoyed New Zealand and China made you appreciate America, but has there been anything else?
- LA made me REALLY apriceate Nyc!

2. So as time goes on, I like to ask this: What's your current favorite Marvel Legends styled/related figure? I'm currently a huge fan of X-Men Series 3 X-Treme Rogue. I love that figure, it was fantastic.
- It was indeed. Damon Nee is my god!

3. Are we able to ask if you could get certain liscenses for the indy comic book line?
- No. And please don't I wont be able to answer.

4. If you ever had the time, would you ever be able to explain how a figure goes from conception to production? Let's take Stealth Beast from the X-Men line. How'd that come into creation all the way to hitting the shelves?
- Sure. If I ever had the time I could. Come see Damon or I at SDCC and well chew your ear off.

5. Would you say that China leans towards a capitalist economy? I keep reading and hearing that China is becoming more and more "westernized", but it still has a rather oppressive government. I know it's not an action figure question, but I'm interested to know if China is becoming westernized and you were just recently there.
- It's culture is but it's still a communist country.

6. Szechwan cooking you said was very spicey. But isn't authentic chinese food as amazing as I think it is? I think I'd have to go all the way to china for good chinese food.
- Yeah well there resturants are like petting zoo's with deep cookers in the back.

7. Do you know if Hasbro does any conventions like Wizard World? I can't remember if I saw them. I know Mattel does.
- Not sure.

8. How hard do you think it would be to create an action figure line from scratch (as in, if I wanted to create my own company and release my own figures)? I got a action figure collecting buddy who has a chunk of money he'd like to invest and this was an idea I mentioned to him.
- To sell at Mass? VERY very difficult if not outright impossible. To sell at Diamond and at comic shops is a lot more doable but still tough.
