I would have to say that Roddy Piper could ahve held the NWA title so many times.

I think it's stupid that people are still calling Curt Hennig Curt Henning...
He should have won it. His character would have fit perfectly.
I also think Paul Orndorf would have done good.

Honestly, how many of you would be saying Owen had he not died? None of them, because he actually would have gotten the title. No, he probably wouldn't why would a career mid-carder suddenly get pushed into the main event scene at the end of his career? Like I said Owen is way more over in death then life. I absolutely know that half of the people here never watched wrestling when Owen was around because this is like saying Matt Hardy is going to get the title... he's not. Matt Hardy=Owen Hart

Until that idiot Jack Tunney reversed the decision. Ted Dibiase was also champion until the president at the time told him tht you cant just buy the championship. But yeah, they don't really count as reigns...

I'm not comparing Owen to Matt in a literal sense (he was a great wrestler) but his inability to get anywhere above midcard and how over he was is right up there with Matt.

Owen was garbage and the only reason he's getting votes, is because of the way he died. he was ****ty at promos and was ****ty at wrestling. his last name was the only reason he got as far as he did. Roddy Piper is by far the best. How could you say Owen is garbage, do you even know what wrestling is? Are you five years old or did you start watching wrestling 2 years ago and thinks John Cena is God? Have you seen his matches with Bret and Bulldog and others? That is wrestling, I don't know what your watching or what drugs you're on but Owen is one of the greatest dead or alive. If anyone disagrees, then you don't know crapabout what wrestling is.

If anyone disagrees, then you don't know **** about what wrestling is.This is where you became no better then him. Actually to be honest all of your post made him no better then him, scoffing at him for if he likes a certain guy, belittling him if he's new to wrestling, very poor taste. Now back to the subject at hand. Owen being one of the greatest? Eh, debatable I suppose but I'm leaning towards no. Like I've said previously, Owen had a phenomenal talent with in ring wrestling but he was simply not the complete package. He wasn't anything special on the mic (not that any of the Hart's ever were), he never got over enough for an arguement that he could be successful in the main event, he simply did not elevate his game to a main event status. Owen Hart overall? A good solid wrestler, but not one of the greats.

This thread is back? Ok i will add "others": Umaga, Shelton Benjamin, Lance Storm. I could never see Storm with a modern World Title, but he def could have held one in his ECW days. Also I think it a give it time thing with Shelton and Umaga, I forsee both holding one in their careers
