Isn't American Dragon trademarked anyhow. Isn't there a Disney cartoon named that or something? I don't think it's still around, but there was one, but Danielson was using the name 'American Dragon' long before that cartoon was created. |

Man... I love Danielson, and anything that allows me to see more of him is good...
I really hope he doesn't get signed until after the August 1st ROH show though, since I really want to see him there.

Danielson will most definitely fall flat on his face in the E. He should stay in the indys......he does not have the ability to translate to sports entertainment and national tv. It's not about translating, it's about adapting. If anyone can adapt, it's Bryan ing Danielson. I'd like to see WWE use the "American Dragon" nickname as a basis for his gimmick... have him be the typical blond haired blue-eyed American but will a deep understanding and appreciation of Japanese culture and wrestling. He could be the wrestler with honor who lives by a high moral code... a break from the 'badass who follows his own rules' face. He could have kayfabe lived in Japan for years honing his craft and studying the ways of the Japanese, etc. Could he get over as a heel? Perhaps. I dont think an Angle like gimmick would work for him. Angle has charisma. Danielson can just act like an ass. The problem with him working as the heel we have seen in ROH is that Danielson will probably start in ECW and will be on the level of Sydal, Delaney, Striker, etc. He wont be booked as a big dog and he probably wont get much mic. time. I see this as an epic failure. Just my opinion.....but thats what I see. As far as adapting.......I think you're wrong. I dont think Danielson could adapt to sports entertainment. Danielson is a wrestler. Thats what he does. And as far as using the name American Dragon.......no way in hell! I am sure Disney has it trademarked and I doubt very much they will let him retain it. |

I just want a figure of his. I want him in ROH but if he came to WWE and succeeded I'd be happy. I am hoping for him too go too WWE and debut on ECW and be a huge star and win the ECW championship within a month of his debut. Therefore he can say he is the best in the world. Then SD makes a trade after he dominates for a year and he wins the US Championship then the WHC. This guy has talent and I doubt he'd fail drug tests since I doubt most ROH talent take steroids.

I would say that having AmDrag join Kendrick/London in some sort of HBK students faction would be kinda cool in a weird way with HBK leading them.

WWE better sign him, it would be a good move. Danielson has loads of talent but his microphone skills are not horrible but not good. Also, he is still a little too small but hey, look at Matt Sydal. I just want Danielson on TV.

Still not much news on what's going on. I'm surprised the main news have no details. There seems to be a belief that Danielson is still signed with ROH. If that's the case then how was WWE able to get him to work this dark match last night?
