I find it pretty amazing that a company with no TV show and no TV or newspaper advertising can fill a building with people who know who all the wrestlers are. ROH's audience is totally built off of the internet. ECW had some minimal means of advertisement besides the internet, such as a syndicated TV show in the northeast. Not sure how you can say the Japanese crowds don't have much interest. Why do you think the companies keep bringing ROH guys back for tours? I never said their wasn't interest in the wrestlers but the product itself. The internet is huge now compared to 1996-2001. Everyone has the internet now of days. That wasn't the case back then so it's easier for people to hear about ROH and find out about it and that's why the places get packed. ROH has yet to have an impact on the major wrestling companys like ECW did.

Definitely agree with you on the ECW part. ECW was a North American phenomenon. Where ROH is more respected in the circles of Japan and even internationally.....they are nowhere near as popular as ECW was in the states. Yes, Quack does have a real job and he does write books as well. But if Quack was in his early 20s and wasnt as beat up as he is, he probably could be more like a Chris Hero and take indy bookings 4/7 days a week. But thats not to be. Besides, he has the training classes during the week at night and he also has Chikara to run.....not to mention the promotions he wrestles for. I mean Quack still works small tiny promotions here in PA that pay him with a hot dog and a can of soda. He just loves the business and loves to work with up and coming kids. I cant 100% agree that you cant be a legend working just indys. I agree that you cant become well known or mainstream. But within wrestling circles and amongst smarks......I think you can. Reckless Youth and Mike Quackenbush are two that come very much to mind. And if Chris Hero doesnt get signed by someone, he is headed down that same path. Yeah that was pretty much my point. Most people will look at it different because they follow indy's. While I would put plenty of indy guys right up there with WWE guys in being a legends in our minds they won't be known by 90% of the wrestling fan base or looked as that. Quack is someone I'd call an indy legend. Same with Christopher Daniels, Reckless Youth & Devon Storm. These guys were indy's before indy's were cool but other than a few of us they will never be known as being legends. Christopher Daniels shouldn't be Curry Man, and he should have won the TNA title in 2005 or something, at least main eventing by now. On topic: If Danielson would go to the WWE I just hope he was used correctly.

This is pretty cool. I'd love to see Danielson in the WWE, I think he could work great up there. I am a big Danielson fan, so I am glad to see him being given a shot. If he does ever sign with WWE, they would have to acquire the rights to the Final Countdown as it's hard imaging him coming out to anything else.

People are forgetting that Danielson worked a ton of dark and Velocity matches in 03 and 04 and he never got signed or anything. Sometimes it's just a pay day, guys. Doesn't necessarily mean they get signed or anything or that they're even looking to.

True.. but a new attire and beating an established WWE star - not to mention using his own, never-before-seen-in-the-WWE, finisher to do it, suggests it's more than just a pay-day..

Doesn't necessarily mean they get signed or anything or that they're even looking to. That was 4-5 years ago. Danielson is a much different wrestler now then he was then. Also I don't recall him winning any of those matches. Plus WWE has recently shown that they are into picking up ROH talent with the additions of Punk, Sydal & Cabana. They gave Danielson 10 minutes of match time and put him over a contracted superstar. Let's not kid ourselves there has to be interest on WWE's end.

I would bet that a large percentage of the ROH roster does steroids. That sports entertainment comment does bring up a good point. I remember Corino saying that during his recent WWE tryout he made the comment to an agent about the WWE being a wrestling company and he was told right away that was incorrect. I would imagine it would take a few months down in Florida for Danielson to make the adjustments needed to be a WWE entertainer. A couple of guys definitely do(Delirious, Claudio, Nigel), but not anyone else. I hope McGuinness is not using steroids..

The ammount of lunacy from Undisputed Kid and Chow Mein Showstopper in this thread is overwelming.

The ammount of lunacy from Undisputed Kid and Chow Mein Showstopper in this thread is overwelming. Lunacy? Explain. As far as whether this is a pay day or a one time shot or what. I think its nothing more than just the E trying to get a look at Danielson, b/c they do have an interest. You forget that Danielson has a contract with ROH. He cant leave right now anyway. When his contract expires, then its something that can be looked at it. So I think it was neither a pay day nor a possible contract signing. It was simply the E wanting to get a look at what they potentially want to invest into.

Isn't American Dragon trademarked anyhow. Isn't there a Disney cartoon named that or something? Well there is a comic book character named the Sandman but that isnt stopping Sandman from taking pills and drinking beer working half assed shows now is it? Anyways, AmDrag should come to WWE. He would be ing perfect for an IC title run.

I wouldn't doubt Aries using steroids either, honestly. I don't think so. He's not that big. He'd definately fail the drug test for weed, though.
