Yes. The only way I'd be interested in a Jorge Gurgel fight, is if he's fighting Gina Carano...and then I'd put money on Carano. JG IS A GREAT MAN. hahaha. Seriously though Grugel's okay. His wrestling is sub-par and his striking is mediocre. BUT I still like the guy You only like him because he tells you about spooning sessions with Rich, and shows you pictures of him in the shower...

Churchy just likes Gina Carano because Gina Carano is sexay.
Having said that, I just rewatched Liddell/Jackson and Griffin/Shogun on tonight's WiRED.
Both were excellent fights, and judging from them, UFC 86's main event is going to be "Fists vs. Heart".
Griffin has an incredible heart and is willing to sustain massive amounts of punishment. He's got great stamina and has gone the distance plenty of times before.
But Griffin can and has been knocked silly when he's facing a heavy-handed fighter. And the hands don't get much heavier than Rampage. His KO punch on Iceman was truly a sickening display of power. Only one other man has ever been able to TKO Chuck, Rampage doing it twice was pretty unbelievable.
This fight is getting closer and closer, and the more I think about it the more it feels like a FOTY contender. If Griffin can avoid the hands, at least enough to where he doesn't get caught and KO'd, this fight may just go all five rounds and be an all-out war of attrition. Both fighters are dead even in my estimation. Truly an interesting fight that I can't wait to see.

Churchy just likes Gina Carano because Gina Carano is sexay. Well...yeah. Plus I honestly think she could beat good ol' Jorge. I would even have a hard time trying to decide if she could beat Jorge AND Andy Wang at the same time.

Man I'm really pumped for this event, I don't really have the dough for WWE & UFC PPV's and UFC does come second, but I try to order events I'm really interested in and this is one of them.
The Rampage/Griffin fight will either be a quick Rampage victory or a fight that goes the length/or near the length and either guy could win, I hope it's the latter but you know I'm actually pulling for my boy Rampage, should be a good PPV.

I've always thought that the sexiest women on the planet are the ones that can whup our monkey asses and still look hot while doing it. While Gina fits that mold to a tee, Kyra Gracie gets my vote as sexiest woman that could pound your face in and/or make you squeal for mercy like a little baby. 'Nuff said.

I'm a huge Rampage fan. But I have a weird feeling Forrest will win. And he will lose it his very next fight. Perhaps against Silva or Liddell?

I don't know...the closer this event gets...the less I want to order it and the more promising Affliction:banned looks.

If they have time after the main event (which they always do) they air a few of the prelims. The unseen ones will go on UFC's website soon after the show is over. I'm really looking forward to Griffin/Rampage. I really hope Griffin wins, but if I had to bet money, I'd go with Rampage. speaking of this: my co-workers and i are having a watching party natch, and we are placing small bets on each match picking who wins and how. whomever gets the closest wins each pot. so like for the prelims we all kick in say a buck each, main bouts, 5 bucks each and the championship bout 10 bucks each, so..here are my picks: buchholz tko's hill siver submits guillaud gurgel wins decision over miller gonzaga submits mccully tyson wins decision over aurelio kos wins decision over lytle daddy wins decision over tiban cote tko's almeida and last but not least: rampage tko's forrest the one i struggled with the most was almeida losing to cote, but i would love to hear what all you guys think actually will happen tomorrow night. also how many rounds do you think the main event will last, b/c i don't think , even as tough and crazy as forrest is, that he can hold out for five rounds.

I'm getting more and more excited for this show. If Forrest can pull out a win, it would be huge. I really hope he can pull off an upset, but I have a feeling that we're going to see a replay of Forrest/Jardine.

I predict Rampage KO'ing Forrest within 2 minutes of first round.
And Kos winnin via ref stoppage due to strikes in round 2.

The show is geting closer & I'm well up for the main event. I can see Forrest having a smarter than usual game plan. On the outside he's going to be peppering Rampage with jabs & crosses & then dirty boxing him from the greco clinch on the outside. I see a 4th round TKO & setting up NYE Forrest vs. Liddell which will be a mega draw for the UFC.
The rest of the card I'm seeing Cote getting an upset 1st Round KO, Almeida just hasn'y had the fights recently, over four years & only fighting Yundt is going to leave him in a world of pain. I think Koscheck is going to beat Lytle in a similar way to Chris's fight with Matt Hughes, a close fight but the wrestling ability will be enough to get the points decision. I'm picking Tyson Griffin/ Aurelio being the fight of the night with Tyson squeaking out a razor thin decision victory. Joe stevenson is going to come back from his mauling at the hands of BJ a different fighter, after the fight he just looked crushed. Tibau is going to regain some form and put the pressure on for a second round submission. Gonzaga vs. McCully is just a gimme for Gonzaga to get a win, 1st round TKO or submission with ease. Hill's reach will see him getting a late stoppage, I see this kid improving and being a genuine threat in next year or so. Melvin vs. Silver should be a stand up war, i think Silver's crisper cleaner striking gets the decision. Could be the sleeper of the night. Miller vs. Gurgel. I really don't care about. Why is either man fighting on a freaking pPV. This wouldn't even deserve a spot on a UFN main card! Hopefully a double KO & before hand Dana makes it a loser leaves town.
