The judging was horrible last night. The scores indicate a wipeout, and that didn't happen at all. I don't agree with the decision and would like to see a rematch, but I gotta give Forrest credit - he gave Rampage a hell of a fight and he's now the top dog at 205. Props to him - training with Couture has definitely paid off.
Rampage losing is the perfect setup for Wand/Rampage III. Still say Wand KO's Rampage a third time.

I was very pissed when I first watched the fight because I am a huge Rampage fan and I felt as though he got cheated.
But I went back and watched the fight again and my god that was a close fight. But Forrest did win it. It was so damn close and if Rampage wasn't on the ground for the majority of the 2nd he would have won. Very entertaining fight, well worth my fifty something bucks.
I do however think Forrest will lose to Wandy or Chuck.

The thing about Forrest is that he isn't a dominating fighter... Even if he had a rematch against Tito Ortiz, I wouldn't bet on him to win.
I do enjoy watching Forrest fight, though, and I don't know how anyone can dislike him.

Also, congrats to Tyson Griffin on another win, that fight was really good and exciting.

He is just kind of okay all around. The only thing that he has going for him is his ability to take pain and his cardio. His fights are entertaining. But I still don't like the guy. I hope a Rampage vs. Wandy rematch happens. Rampage whoops that ass and gets a shot at his title again.

I do however think Forrest will lose to Wandy or Chuck. The only thing that really bothered me was the unanimous decision. Forrest did not dominate that fight. Other than round 2....it was rather even and obviously Rampage won a few rounds. When it goes to decision, a decision has to be made and Forrest won. No real issue. Besides Forrest winning is good for the sport and good for Ultimate Fighter. I know Matt Sera was been a champion, but he isnt as well known as Forrest Griffin. The thing about Forrest is that he isn't a dominating fighter... Even if he had a rematch against Tito Ortiz, I wouldn't bet on him to win. I do enjoy watching Forrest fight, though, and I don't know how anyone can dislike him. I agree....Forrest has a great personality that is down right infectious. But Ortiz/Forrest? There is no way Ortiz is beating Forrest. Ortiz had dropped 3 of his last 4 fights. Can Ortiz still fight? Yes. Can he beat Forrest Griffin? I dont think so. I think Griffin is only getting better. His fight with Rampage was a smart fight. Compared to his battles with Sho and Jardine........Griffin is developing and maturing in the octagon. The more fights he gets under his belt and the more prep time he has, the better he will become. Remember Griffin started as a reckless striker. Now he has developed his ju jitsu, ground game and submission. He has a lot of heart and the guy has yet to peak. For him to be champion now is downright scary. Consider that in another year, Forrest will have become even better than he has. His submissions and ground will become strong points to his skills and make him even more dangerous. We are still yet to see how good Griffin can be.

I just finally got to see the main event, and I also have to give it to Forrest.
Rampage took the 1st and 3rd, Forrest took the rest, including a 10-8 in the 2nd.
48-46 Forrest Griffin
and to the people who were talking about Sherdog losing their minds......
I promise you, if Tim Sylvia beats Fedor Emelianenko, there is going to be a mass suicide on those forums.
I will however laugh my ass off!!!

Good lord, Armageddon will arrive at Sherdog if the Maine-iac beats Fedor.

I was excited about the Affliction show when I first heard about it but my fire to watch it has finally fizzed out. For some reason I think they will drop the ball big time.

I dunno, I've kept up with it a lot (mostly because it's one of the bigger topics of my board and it's a huge non-UFC MMA PPV and we haven't had one like it since the glory days of PRIDE) and I think that they've got a lot of potential great hits.
Even if Fedor/Sylvia doesn't pan out, their undercard is really stacked. The only thing I think that would kill Banned for me would be either bad fights or horrible production values.
