What does that even mean? I know you claim to be "part of the business," but unless that "chase" in your name means that you're actually Chase Stevens, you're not "NWA TNA original" by any means. being a NWA-TNA original means the i am one of fans who has been with NWA-TNA since the first night & has bought every NWA-TNA PPV every Wednesday . i am one of the reasons there is TNA at all because i was one of the original 10,000 people who bought the first NWA-TNA PPV unlike most of you on here who are bandwagoon TNA fans anyways . if you did not support NWA-TNA the first night then don't talk to me . i went To NWA-TNA PPV there first year . how about most you?. i bet most of you can't even say that . i am original NWA-TNA fan not some bandwagoon TNA fan like most of the people on here. i went with matt sydal & Delirious when they tryout & wrestled each other on PPV for NWA-TNA. . i used to wrestle in same fed as them ,GCW & helped train them. most of you don't even what the first 2 years NWA-TNA was like. my name MR.chase means wrestling at the chase in st louis but most of you would not now what that is because you are stuck up new school's ass too much. mr.chase, I know me and you are pretty tight here but why do you have to be such a bitch when it comes to TNA? You think you know everything about the promotion because you ordered the pay per view. So what? By the way, who were you in GCW?

Beer money and warmachine76, ya both got owned by ICW..warmachine, twice, once in a previous post. Whatever. If I was 13 that might have bothered me. I also didn't realize that refs, managers, and ring announcers were being included in this debate. That being said ICW left names off of the list. So you don't cheat yourself ICW: AJ Styles (appeared on WCW) Christopher Daniels (appeared on WCW) David Penzer (WCW ring announcer for a long time) Jeremy Borash (multiple roles within WCW) I'll take my lumps on this one. However I don't really see what it matters. Is it a crime to employ a wrestler just because you didn't discover them? Vince McMahon employs a bunch of wrestlers and commentators he didn't discover. Do these same rules apply to him? Or does the magical glow of the almighty WWE absolve him from scrutiny? Vince took quite a few people from ECW/WCW through the years. Just as WCW took quite a few from ECW/WWF. It is the way things go in pro wrestling. Perry Saturn (ECW and WCW) Chris Benoit (ECW and WCW) Chris Jericho (ECW and WCW) Chuck Palumbo (WCW) Dean Malenko (ECW and WCW) Eddie Guerrero (ECW and WCW) Jamie Noble (WCW masked and unmasked) Rey Mysterio (ECW and WCW) Ron Simmons/Farooq (WCW) Steve Austin (WCW and ECW) William Regal (WCW) Big Show (WCW) Gregory Helms (WCW) Jim Ross (WCW among others) Jimmy Wang Yang (WCW and TNA) Mick Foley (WCW and ECW) Super Crazy (ECW) Tazz (ECW) Triple H (WCW) The Undertaker (WCW) Chavo Guerrero (WCW) Finlay (WCW) Theodore Long (WCW) Tommy Dreamer (ECW) This is just the short list.

WWE took Steve Austin and made him a star. As a matter of fact, the three guys WCW rejected would become WWE Champions. As you can see, Vince took a lot of mid-card guys from WCW. HOWEVERRRRRRRRRRRRR, WCW took MAIN EVENT guys from the WWE: Diesel (became Kevin Nash) Razor Ramon (became Scott Hall) Lex Luger Macho Man Randy Savage And to make WCW even more silly, Vince took guys like Benoit, Guerrero, Jericho, Austin, Triple H, and Cactus Jack and eventually made them ALL World Champions... they would have NEVER done that in WCW. Here's the point: The guys WWE took from WCW and ECW, for the most part, had successful main stream careers in the WWE than they would have in WCW or ECW. The one guy off the top of my they dropped the ball with badly is Taz. TNA takes already established former WWE/ECW/WCW talent and gives them there title. Remember only THREE non-WWE/WCW/ECW wrestlers have held the TNA World Title. THREE

First off Nash, Hall, and Luger were WCW/AWA way before they were ever WWF.The rest is besides the point. This is splitting hairs. Regardless of how they got there Vince still employs or has employed tons of wrestlers that came from other companies. It is just like pro baseball or football. Free Agency plays a part in building your team. The draft is great but it doesn't always fill your needs. Still Samoa Joe, Petey Williams, Beer Money, and Taylor Wilde are the champions. I don't see one WWE retread in that list of names.

Nash, Hall, and Luger were VERY big in the WWF. They were TOP stars and WCW took them all.
The point is... TNA very much so has too many former WCW/ECW/WWE talent. Furthermore, only THREE TNA made famous wrestlers (AJ Styles, Abyss, and Samoa Joe) are World Champion. Someone said that AJ Styles and Samoa Joe are more Ring of Honor then they are TNA, which is true. So really... only ONE TNA made star has been Champion... and that's Abyss/

Considering Joe and AJ ROH at this point is ridiculous. ROH is the minor leagues period. The majority of wrestling fans wouldn't know who these guys are without TNA. The same goes for CM Punk, Sabin and Shelley, and this list could go forever. You do realize that TNA is a very young company right? As time passes these things even out. The TNA roster is going to continue to evolve.

Replaced Ole Anderson as a Horsemen, feuded with the Horseman... ALL I am saying is AT THE TIME when he was IN the WWF, he was a big star and WCW took him ALONG with Kevin Nash and Scott Hall. TNA has been around since 2002... all they have shown me is the ability to sign former WCW/ECW/WWE talent and push them; they have this attitude of "hey, WWE, you didn't give this guy your World title, so we'll give him ours!" What TNA SHOULD be doing is pushing other stars BUT IN SMART WAYS! TNA does so many things wrong... you HAVE to think of it as a joke of a wrestling organization.

TNA doesn't build alot of wrestlers of their own. Too many gimmick matches. Bad Booking.

You are discounting the fact that Luger was a main eventer in WCW before going to WWF/E. WWE did not make Luger. WCW did. Period. I'll give you Nash and Hall were bigger stars in WWF/E. That is until their second run in WCW. Kevin Nash and Scott Hall were never bigger than they were in WCW. Diesel and Razor? Please. Compared to The Outsiders and N.W.O. those gimmicks were laughable. TNA is a joke? Why are you wasting time commenting on it then? TNA does so many things wrong. Yes they do. So does the WWE. I'm sure they get the free pass though. This is the TNA board. Get out of here WWE nuthugger.

I am not a 'huge' WWE fan and I'll be the first to bash them on the countless errors they have made in bookings since the Invasion angle.
TNA has the potential to go far... they won't go anywhere far if they continue to book nonsense every week.
By the way, I'm not discounting Luger as being huge in WCW before coming to WWF, because he was huge. ALL I am saying is that WCW took him away from WWF during the Monday Night Wars and that left WWF in some bad shape.

You just CLEARLY made yourself look like a HUGE mark. After a long debate, where ICW made valuable points, you turn around and tell him off.

You just CLEARLY made yourself look like a HUGE mark. After a long debate, where ICW made valuable points, you turn around and tell him off. Who said this long debate is over? I'm enjoying this very much. So JOeY: WWE Mark be silent unless you have something to add to the debate. The fact of the matter is I already acknowledged that ICW made some good points. I'm also pretty sure ICW can defend himself without your help. I didn't tell him off either. I simply made points the same way he did. If he doesn't like them, tough you know what. Lex Luger was a MAIN EVENTER in WCW before he was ever in the WWF/E! When he left the WWF/E to return to WCW the Monday Night Wars literally had just begun. At that point Vince had no idea what was coming his way. Also Scott Hall was never a real main eventer in the WWF/E. He was an IC champ. True he was way over with the fans and had some great matches but he was still not main event. I will also say this before anyone gets pissy about Lugers first WCW run. It was technically NWA/WCW at that time. It was still more or less WCW though. All i'm trying to get across is that it isn't a crime to use wrestlers made famous by other promotions to further the progression of your company. Every pro wrestling company in the world has done it. It is just popular to pile on TNA for it.

TNA gets piled on because of the extent at which they depend on pre-established guys, combined with the little benefit that results from said dependence.

Hmmm...ok. I'll admit to being wrong when i'm wrong. Using established or older stars to give credibility to your roster isn't wrong. It is smart business. My argument isn't one sided or narrow minded either. In fact it is the other way around. Let me pose a hypothetical situation to you deskjet. You have recently started a wrestling company. You have a roster of young and unproven stars. You like these guys and consider them the lifeblood of your company. Unfortunately the average wrestling fan has no clue who they are. One day you have the chance to sign a well established star from another organization. You see the potential in this star lending credibility to your roster. Thus making your young stars more credible in the eyes of the average wrestling fan. So you have two choices. A. Do you sign the established star to help build your company and legitimize your younger stars? or B. Do you turn away the established star and go on with business as usual? If you answered A you are a smart business man. If you said B you are either lying, going out of business, or content with being a sideshow independant like ROH. See deskjet this is a business. TNA is in business to make money. Which they are finally doing. They are getting stronger everyday. That must really piss you off. For all the complaining and whining about bad booking, signing WWE rejects, and misusing the young stars TNA is getting stronger. Now on to the ex-stars of ROH. If you think that anyone outside of internet fan boys, hardcore fans, and people inside the industry knew who Shelley, Sabin, Lethal, Daniels, Joe, or Punk were before TNA and WWE gave them t.v. time, you sir are an idiot. I'll say it again. Ring of Honor is the minor leagues. They are never going to be more than a talent pool for TNA and WWE to pick apart as they see fit. I seem to recall a company called ECW that had the same problem. ROH is always going to have its fan boys and well wishers telling the world how great they are. However John Q. Public does not give a damn. If you can't turn on the t.v. and see it on a weekly basis, you have no chance to succeed. I'm not a bad debater. You just don't like what i'm saying. I've been a wrestling fan for 27 of my 32 years walking this earth. I've seen many companies come and go. I am a hardcore fan. I root for TNA through thick and thin because guys like Jeff Jarrett have taken more personal finacial risks in six years than you or I will take in a lifetime to give us an alternative to WWE. Just because you don't like it, doesn't make you right. Your turn slick. P.S. know it all. Chris Sabin is a four time X-Division Champion. He held the belt as late as 2007. Do you even watch what you are commenting on?

Do you even watch what you are commenting on? How do you think TNA got to mainstream anyway? BY having Kurt Angle and Christian Cage wrestling all the time? Or how about Sting? No. They had a few stars (Jarrett, Shamrock (rarley), and Raven and a few others) but what helped the company was the younger guys that according to you know one knew. When I was still a mark watching and loving WWE in 2002-2003, my cousing ordered a TNA Weekly show and seeing AJ Styles and Jerry Lynn, two guys I didn't know, tare the house down is what made me love TNA and want to buy the PPV the next week. It wasn't seeing Jarrett or whoever on the show, it was the great WRESTLING! TNA got to Spike because of AJ Styles and others who constantly put on classic matches along with AMW and Raven. They didn't go on Spike with the big names like Steiner, Angle, Cage, and Sting, and Dudleys. They came after they got the TV deal. What made TNA so popular was the X-Division, it worked and they proved at the time you don't need a bunch of big name talent to make it in this business. Your turn. Enlighten me

Worst debater ever? Your turn. Enlighten me Enlightenment coming right up. I never said that signing established names is the only reason TNA is where they are today. I said that it was done to give the young stars credibility. I agree with you. The foundation of TNA are guys like Styles. Those matches you speak of are what people took notice of. Still guys like Jarrett, Raven, Shamrock, Killings, and Sting made the roster more credible. Even if Shamrock and Killings are nothing special. The common wrestling fan knew their names and faces from WWF/E. Sting has been around a couple times. He first came to TNA during the weekly ppv's as a favor to the Jarrett's. That helped get the attention of some of the WCW fans. I guarantee these wrestlers helped the common fan decide to check it out for the first time. I have watched TNA since day one. It is my favorite wrestling company. I acknowledge that they make plenty of mistakes. I just don't think using established talent is a mistake.

I was a common fan and I happened to watch the show just because it is wrestling, I didn't even know who was in it. And AJ was the reason I watched it ever since That is great but you are not the norm. The first weekly ppv only managed approximately 10,000 buys. I was one of the 10,000 or so but i'm a hardcore wrestling fan. I already knew who Styles and many others were going in to it. 10,000 is an incredibly small number of viewers. How many "common fans" do you think were buyers? I think you were a minority. Of course that is my opinion and I could be wrong. I just think that if the common wrestling fan was so open to checking out unkown or new wrestling shows more than 10,000 people would have ordered the show.
