Jeff Jarrett was and to ME will always be a glorified mid-carder. He never made it to MAINEVENT status in WWE because he just didnt have that X faxtor that makes you a MAIN EVENTER...He is or was on top at TNA for obvious reasons. Yes,the promo was good, except the part about ANGLE filling his spot while he was away. He could never be in the same league as Angle or Sting or Triple H. Preach on!

Holding people down? Wasn't Jarrett the TNA version of Triple H for quite some time in TNA? haha. At 1 time yes but he has pushed ppl aswell (Joe,AJ,Roode) And Roode has gotten far. In a nothing tag team. Joe is a terrible champ and AJ is mixed up with some tool.

Why did you post this here? This kinda became a bash TNA just like my other topic did. I guess people need to find something to dislike.

Wouldn't this be the equivalent of Triple H cutting a promo in the WWE about how veterans should step aside and let younger wrestlers step up?

I like that Kurt is part of the veterans, He's been wrestling the same ammount of time as Joe, and a year less than AJ.
Granted, he's been closer to the top longer, but still.
I hate sting as a heel... no matter how good the storyline may be, he just doesn't fit that role well. he never did. that's why he's been face for most of his career.
the Foley part was good, though it makes me a little sad that he left WWE. But it'll be interesting to see how that goes.

Anyone else find it ironic since Jeff did it for years in TNA?

Remind me again, why did I ever stop watching TNA? Because it's rubbish? I watched Impact for the first time in months last night, and it was a lot better than the last time! Still not great, but I like that they have a solid storyline running throughout. Also, with chicago on the "Jarrett as TNA's Triple H" thing which made it seem odd that he was defending the young guys. And on the "this is a shoot" thing - when a guy says "this is a shoot" are we supposed to think that his promo is real and everything else on the show is fake? It's stupid. It's like an episode of 24 where Keifer Sutherland is in the middle of shooting some terrorists and then stops to sign an autograph for a fan that wanders onto the set. We know the show isn't real, but it should at least pretend to be for the duration of itself!

What cracked me up the most was that Jarrett spent 15 minutes talking about veterans hanging on too long and that the young guys were the heart of the company and all the promo served was the purpose of debuting Foley, a veteran who has held on for too long and retired more times than Hogan. So he spent 15 minutes putting over the young guys only to debut another veteran who will fill a main event spot instead of a young guy. I literally laughed out loud.
Jarrett needs to remember that TNA did not show any signs of growth until AFTER Jarrett took time away. For him to blame the failure of WCW on the vets who hung on too long is funny to me. Hogan left the company in July 2000. Before that, he was gone from the company from October 99 to February 2000. Hogan wasn't even part of the company for the last 8 months of it's existence. Nash and Hall were long gone too. Jarrett, Steiner, Flair, DDP, and Booker T were the main eventers of that company for it's last 8-10 months. During that time the ratings dipped into the high 1's, lower than any point during Hogan's run. So who really killed off WCW in the end? Unrecognizable mid card guys that Russo tried to pass off as main eventers. The guys who were on top of WCW when it folded were the guys brought into WWF when WCW got bought. What was the reaction? Utter disappointment that led to the failure of the Alliance Angle because nobody that was brought in from WCW had any name value whatsoever.
There were so many things wrong with Jarrett's promo. It was about as factually accurate as Sarah Palin's RNC Nomination Acceptance Speech.

I hate when they take real life situations and turn it into a promo. I watched it last night and thought it was pretty decent but then when Kurt said "this is a shoot" it just killed it for me. I just can't stand when they try to make real life relevant on a wrestling show. Theres nothing like "telling it like it is". Especially when Jeff says it was such a mistake getting Angle. Well in that case boss man, you would release him wouldn't you? Its just dumb.
I saw nothing in that promo that was a shot at Triple H. But then again I'm not one of the ones that thinks Triple H controls everything that happens in the WWE either.

I don't mind TNA at all, I watched a bit last night, but it couldn't hold me until the main event. I would have loved to see Foley debut, but oh well. It was still a surprised watching that video because I didn't read what it said underneath it.
When I think of Jeff Jerrett, all I will EVER think about is this, because I watched him come into the WWE and hated him since

Actually, let's go back 10 years to where Jeff Jerrett actually THINKS he is the GOD of wretling, and lets it be well known. Then becomes a woman beater

Way better than Sting's recent promos. He's starting to sound like the old Ultimate Warrior promos. SAMOA JOE! You need to learn who paved the way, Samoa Joe. Samoa Joe, you need to learn respect, that's right, you, Samoa Joe, need to learn respect. Respect, Samoa Joe, Respect.I almost wanted to count how many times he said Joe's name. When I watched TNA last night I couldn't help but laugh as every 3rd word out of Stings mouth was "Joe". I was like "how many ing times is he going to say Joe?!" I was thinking the exact same thing.

Jeff Jarret: "This company is about giving new talent a chance! That's why I'm bringing in Mick Foley!" If they really wanted to give guys time to shine, they'd stop raiding WWE's garbage bin. Why is Jarret building himself as some sort of wrestling god? You brought in Angle to fill your shoes? Really? Angle is arguably the greatest wrestler/sports entertainer of all time...hate to break it to you, but you aren't even close Jarret. It's pathetic that they have to resort to worked shoots to create a buzz... TNA is a joke. They have all the potential but manage to it up. Good point. Jarrett is good, but he is not anywhere near Kurt Angle's league. I am 100% vehind Sting's side. Sting, Angle, Christian and Booker T are wrestlers I have respected for years and will not lose respect just because Joe and Jarrett say we should and respect them. Sting winning the title from Joe will make me ecstatic, because that will probably be his last title reign. Mick Foley better not start making fun of WWE after everything they did for him. WWE made Mick Foley a legend in the business in my opinion. Angle and Christian will be back in WWE at some point at least I hope so. Sting's promo was great as well saying he paid his dues. Jarrett is no wrestling. Joe saying Sting hasn't paid his dues is bs. Sting has a private life and spends it with his family big deal. Sting does his part to help TNA. Isn't it Dixie Carter and Jeff Jarrett who arranged Sting's current deal? It's such bs to listen to them pick on sting's legacy. He is my favorite wrestler and carried a company for a time namely WCW. In reference to the veterans not getting out of the way, what the hell is Jarrett talking about. WCW was losing business more rapidly when Jarrett was champion and he dominated the championship scene as soon as he entered WCW in 1999, that's a fact. Sting wasn't even around.
