Ok hear me out.
Last night Jeff Jarrett cut a very good promo about the older guys holding down and burying the younger guys.
and i was thinking that this has alot of relevance to what is happening in the wwe today cough"triple h"cough.
Its basically about the veterans not knowing when to pass the torch.
and Mick Foley appears at the end ;D

Bet nothing changes in TNA.
Just finished watching. Nothing but a promo for Foley & Kurt.

Way better than Sting's recent promos. He's starting to sound like the old Ultimate Warrior promos.
SAMOA JOE! You need to learn who paved the way, Samoa Joe. Samoa Joe, you need to learn respect, that's right, you, Samoa Joe, need to learn respect. Respect, Samoa Joe, Respect.
I almost wanted to count how many times he said Joe's name.

When I watched TNA last night I couldn't help but laugh as every 3rd word out of Stings mouth was "Joe". I was like "how many ing times is he going to say Joe?!"

Im glad Sting kept saying Joe. I have a short attention span that lasts every 3 seconds and I kept forgetting who he was talking about.
And I'm glad they only think AJ Styles and Samoa Joe as the future of the business.. Consequences Creed, Jay Lethal? Eric Young? Don't forget, I tune in every week to watch these 3 more than I do those 2

Remind me again, why did I ever stop watching TNA?
That promo alone had more heart, intensity and entertainment than anything WWE has done in a few months.

It was a good promo, but nothing revolutionary or ground-breaking, as far as I'm concerned.
If we're looking into the past, couldn't Jarrett also be accused of desperately holding on to his spot when he was once known as the Triple H of TNA?
I found it funny that Kurt Angle had to, supposedly, "fill Jeff Jarrett's shoes", as if Jarrett is the second coming of Christ and is universally recognized as a peer to guys like Angle and Sting. Also, I may be alone in saying this, but when guys refer to promos as "shoots", it just makes me laugh as if they're trying too hard to get the point across that "this should be taken seriously."
Again, it was a solid promo, but it hasn't changed my outlook on TNA or pro wrestling in general, so I guess it missed the mark for me.

Holding people down? Wasn't Jarrett the TNA version of Triple H for quite some time in TNA? haha.

It's just amazing to me how when someone who is really hated like Jarrett or Triple H takes time off and comes back, they're liked. I thought people always bitched about people saying they held everyone down?

I thought people always bitched about people saying they held everyone down? I do think that Jeff Jarrett held people down in his long title reign, but I was still a fan of his. He always had good feuds and good matches. I still think he should have dropped the title to Monty Brown in 2005 though.

Jeff Jarrett was and to ME will always be a glorified mid-carder. He never made it to MAINEVENT status in WWE because he just didnt have that X faxtor that makes you a MAIN EVENTER...He is or was on top at TNA for obvious reasons. Yes,the promo was good, except the part about ANGLE filling his spot while he was away. He could never be in the same league as Angle or Sting or Triple H.

Jeff Jarret: "This company is about giving new talent a chance! That's why I'm bringing in Mick Foley!" If they really wanted to give guys time to shine, they'd stop raiding WWE's garbage bin. Why is Jarret building himself as some sort of wrestling god? You brought in Angle to fill your shoes? Really? Angle is arguably the greatest wrestler/sports entertainer of all time...hate to break it to you, but you aren't even close Jarret. It's pathetic that they have to resort to worked shoots to create a buzz... TNA is a joke. They have all the potential but manage to it up.

Jarret is nothing more than a mid carder but I disagree with your comments about The Game, Triple H really isn't old at all and as much as people may hate to hear it he is one of if not the best all round performer the WWE has.

I'm fairly certain that promo was about WCW, not WWE. I mean, he only said "WCW" by name. So...yeah.

Just because a guy isn't a top name in the fed, we are pretty much made to feel that they aren't main event material. That just isn't so.

There are plenty of guys who are now top names in the fed that I personnaly dont feel they are maineventer. One example is Jeff Hardy..Great wrestler, very intertaining but I dont think he is main event material. CM Punk is another. I dont think JERRETT was ever really over with the fans and he just didnt have that X factor that makes you a Superstar maineventer. He didnt have it in the WWE ,he didnt have it in WCW.And the only reason he is a top guy in TNA is because of his family ties. There are guys who ARE midcarders who I personally think are mainevent material. Such as CURRYMAN.....
