Does the Japan site let you ship to the US? I feel like I tried when the Nakamura was released but had to end up going with eBay since I couldn't enter a US address. From the Hogan link:

You have JYD? Alright, Jeff Bezos. Go on with your bad self! Haha. The got the entire set when RSC first posted them. I had no idea he would be valuable. Didn't know either; got that entire series loose in one auction in late 2020, wasn't expensive then $50 or so.

As highlighted I think Chella’s product is evolving rapidly, and they are improving their product the more resource become available to them. Chella and ZST have two very different approaches to figures and it’s interesting to watch how both manage their lines. Zombies look very cool and he has stayed as true as possible to how they where designed back in the day. However Chella are definitely holding their own. It will be amazing to see the end of year figure total would be for retros once Mattel get involved too. Considering Chella was totally unknown in the figure market, they're doing great!

There was a Baron Von Raschke by the company that shall not be mentioned. Would that be the same legends line with Wahoo McDaniels, Eddie Gilbert and Ox Baker? What are those figures like? I need to track those three down but feel like I found out about them too late. The same. The face sculpts were pretty good. I only own Tito Santana, King Kong Bundy and Billy Graham.

Sadly I haven't gotten around to getting any of the Remco figures I want, don't know how I'd feel about Remco style. No real nostalgia attatched to them. They had more articulation than LJNs or Hasbros, so that was a plus. The entrance gear was nice as well. The Remco molds are owned by Zoloworld (who are more famous for their protective cases), they planned a (generic) wrestling line however almost 10 years later now they still haven't released them just a generic fantasy line where they used AWA's Nord the Barbarian (WWF's Berzerker) as "Hercules - Son of Zeus".

Yeah, I only got the ones I did because a) I think it's the only Baron von Raschke figure, and b) I'm a big Scott Hall fan. There was a Baron Von Raschke by the company that shall not be mentioned.

Remco style I would think are cost effective to produce too. I mean you need what: 4 styles max for the whole line (‘naked arm, arm with elbow pad, arm with wrist tape, arm with both) 3 styles for leg (with and without knee pads) and tights The only real non reusing of parts or cost would be in the heads. Motu were masters at reusing parts Remco also had 2 body styles: muscular and flabby.

A "pretty heavy collector" as you say, wouldn't mind paying $40 for a figure from a very small company. Yeah, you're right, I'm just lying out my ass. Not sure where you get off thinking you could possibly dictate a stranger's willingness to pay based solely on the context of them having a large figure collection, but it makes you look pretty foolish. Again - this guy doesn't know ZST from a hole in the ground. He doesn't come prepackaged with the knowledge we do that ZST is a small business and that's why these cost $40 and blah blah blah. He came across them, got excited, looked into it, and backed out when he caught the price. Maybe you're one of those people who deems what qualities make people a real collector, I dunno. Either way, nice attempt to poke holes in my story. First of all, I didn't lock those threads (edit: or this one, just noticed it was locked); when I lock a thread I always say why. Second, I wasn't putting DeepFigureValue away as a liar, I just said that such a collector wouldn't mind. I get that his friend doesn't follow boards or pods. DeepFigureValue says his friend wouldn't know ZST from a hole in the wall/ground. I don't know his friend, but I'd give his friend more credit: he buys all he can find in stores Jakks, Mattel, Jazwares. So that friend knows Mattel is a huge company and thus cheaper than say a smaller company like Super7. Maybe collectors have changed and only buy when it's cheap, in that case small companies are sadly doomed...

That was the open preorder amount with a hint he may order more but not definitive depending on how sales go We had the mwfpod Patreon which would’ve got the die hard fans, then the open pre order would’ve caught the other big fans An issue I see is while they are retro in scale they are not going to seemlessly fit in with your hadbros but will look good displayed by themselves. The problem with that is you don’t want to display a figure or two by themselves but not everyone has $200 to drop on 1 series of 5 figures. So some may wait until 2 or 3 series are out then pick 1 or 2 from each series to build their collection but not be in A rush to get them Realistically you can get a whole set of Mattel retros when released in store (not old secondary market values) for the cost of 1 of zombies figures. Now I know that’s not his fault, it’s economies of scale, Mattel bring a huge multinational company etc etc. However while that’s not zombies fault, the cost does restrict the market. Big time. I have a bud who's a pretty heavy collector, but doesn't get in on the buzz. Doesn't do forums, doesn't do podcasts, certainly wouldn't know ZST from a hole in the wall, and I think he found out about the line this weekend. He was psyched to buy a Dino Bravo - 'til he got to the site and saw the price. Priced him right out. It's easy for ZST to come here and talk us all down about the cost of doing business and passion projects and all that - this is a built in market, where no amount of heated dialogue is going to drive off some clientele, but for customers like my buddy who neither know nor care about any of that, he's likely going to price them out more than he doesn't. A "pretty heavy collector" as you say, wouldn't mind paying $40 for a figure from a very small company.

Apparently the top seller of the set currently I'd expect Bravo to be the top seller... Fitting in with Hasbros, Sabu not by a long shot.

OK, people enough about the complaining. Complaining here about ZST not shipping overseas is not helping the cause. Send an e-mail to ZST, spam their Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, ... to make them listen. If they don't listen, find an alternative way: contact a forum member who lives in the U.S. to see if he/she is willing to help you out. Now let get back on track and just discuss the line-ups. Would it be possible to do two threads? One for Chella, one fir ZST? These two lines don’t have anything to do with each other except fir the source material. We've seen that didn't work out too well...

Should the Junkshop Dog line be added here as well? I guess they only mean Hasbro-style. Still it's better to keep their seperate topics like it is right now.

Years ago ICHIBAN 一番 and myself compiled a list for the 1969 JWA-line by Bullmark: Antonio Inoki (regarded a foreigner back then): green trunks Seiji Sakaguchi: blue trunks Shohei Baba (Giant Baba): red trunks Michiaki Yoshimura: white trunks Dr. X / Killer X (not sure if it was Dick Beyer) Rikidözan (foreigner; korean) Looking back: Medicom Toy (re)released Killer X and Killer Z... However; Bullmark was founded after the bankruptcy of Marusan, so Killer X and Killer Z might as well be anime characters from Tiger Mask (the anime not the wrestler). Rikidozan might've been a Medicom Toy release that fooled us because he had a belt; Bullmark figures had molded on belts (except the mysterious Killer X), the Medicom Toy rereleases don't have a belt. Why was inoki regarded a foreigner? When he was 14 he had emigrated to Brazil.
