I love all things Andre and was excited when this was announced, but couldn't convince myself to pull the trigger. This one still looks a gazillion times better than the one Jakks released with the singlet and kneepads...

The figure itself is decent. Was not a fan of the chair or the belt I don't know about the chair... See the last picture: Andre

Ever heard of the Mego Corporation? The Mego Corporation was founded in 1954 by D. David Abrams and Madeline Abrams and became huge in the '70s: producing licensed action dolls (Star Trek, Happy Days, the Dukes of Hazzard, KISS, ...), they also made Micronauts (Takara's Microman). The Mego Corporation went defunct in 1983, in July 2018 Marty Abrams (son of) restarted the Mego Corporation producing a limited run of clothed action dolls in 1/9 and 1/5 scale. This very figure was discussed in January 2019, right before it's release: Mego Andre the Giant Coming To Target. Back then I already remarked:

Fairly certain it’s not a custom, I picked it up from Yahoo Japan about two years ago after searching forever. ibb.co/wQNqfHXCorrect, that was a Shotguntoy exclusive. Another one was Masked Angel Rosetta. Tadahiro Fujisaki was also an exclusive.

Shotgun Toys was/is a seller who sold all types of wrestling figures including custom ones. I used to have the link for their store but after looking was unable to find it. Without seeing it I would imagine what you are looking for was a custom figure. Terry Shimozawa of Shotguntoy was much more than a collector/customizer/seller from Japan; in the early '80s he was involved with Popy's Tiger Mask line. In the last 10 years he also had a rockabilly band called (Shotgun) Terry & Slang, they released 2 records. Since his site went down (about 2 years ago) I don't know what he's been doing.

I'm so excited for this line, TJ. I can't wait to see pictures. That said, with preorders coming in less than a month, two questions. 1) what is going to be the cost of these? 2) when can we expect to have these in hand? Thanks for coming on and interacting. Looking forward to it! These are comparable to Mattel WWE Ultimate Edition figures. That being said, Super7 currently take pre-orders for Ultimate Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles at $45 each which will ship Summer 2020.

That’s not dusty head, there iis series one simbas that use a dusty head and actions mind, that’s a knock off of a Knock off the OP showed Simba aren't the only Hasbro knock-offs/bootlegs It IS Dusty's head. It's modified, but the same head. Attachment DeletedHowever you're partly right; these "Wrestling Champs" by Galeka Toys (or something like that) ARE knock-offs of Simba "Wrestling Champs"; using the same names. This one is Punching Paul.

There are some pretty great bootlegs out there. My favorites were the early 1990s plastic 5 inchers of LJN Andre, Studd, Hogan, Sheik, Snuka and one masked jobber. We need pics of those He's referring to the Wrestling Champs. Here's my Hogan & Studd (actually my first 2 wrestling figures back in 1990):

From what I remember, many arrived broken at the customer. These were fragile by design (ok they were 3D scanned, not really designed); the 3D printing process they used (Powder Bed Fusion) was also responsible.

So this past Saturday I visited Comic Con Antwerp and bought this Spanish card Galoob WCW Tom Zenk, the blister is partially opened but I wanted the Z-Man since a long time. View AttachmentMy main reason to attend Comic Con was to meet Jake "the Snake" Roberts and let him sign some stuff. Well, I have a picture with him, but thanks to my buddy's cranky/hysterical wife ("can we GO now?", "I WANNA go HOME, RIGHT NOW!!!) I didn't get anything signed... View AttachmentWho's who??? You don't know how much I wanted to use that word, but its just not that pc anymore. I am hoping we can get some minis/micros, like Mascarita Sagrada, out of the Boss Fight lines.
And thanks for introducing me to Lucha Fuerte. That is a future youtube black hole with my name all over it. Yeah, the correct word would be little persons. My bad...

You mean Midgets?
In the late '80s or early '90s Plastirama had a figure line using the MOTU-style for Argentinan promotion Lucha Fuerte, one of the wrestlers was named Plastiboy - sort of a space character accompanied by a midget in a pink fluffy outfit (a space bear or so); were released in a twin-pack.

At least what you paid for it. I'm sure you're aware the ring was always a wanted piece, whether it was just the ring or the ring with referee Tiger Hattori.
This is a collector's board, not a board to make sellers rich.
