Couldn't find pictures of "Friday Night Fighters", but I know Manley Toys did the ECW bootlegs as "Wrestling Action Figure".

If chalk line owns ljn now, does that mean they can make figures of the same guys they make jackets of? I don't think so, unless they get licenses to do figures.

Very cool! I've only got a couple of Japanese figs (Liger, Kojima, Tenzan, and the newer/different-style Okada) but I've been getting the itch to get some of the main guys from that era. Didn't know there was a Misawa with the glitter like that! I'm definitely getting one of him with the jacket sometime. I really want a Kawada fig so that may work out, lol. Misawa with glitter is from the 2-pack with Kawada for Pro Wrestling NOAH event Destiny 2005 (5th anniversary, 2005-07-18).

Shame he always lists the Smoking Gunns together - I only need one of them to finish the green series but getting them both together would kill me in customs charges. Welcome to my world; for me it's usually cheaper to place 2 orders and pay shipping twice than to place 1 order and pay shipping + customs charges...

This has nothing to do with being repros. There's a topic about Hasbro WWF figures in Australia, apparently green cards showed up in Australia when the first Jakks BCA figs showed up. The same is probably true for Japan.

Ugh. Let's be honest, and strip away the nostalgia for a moment. I'm an old school guy, but even I remember the LJN figures as terrible. They were basically solid hunks of rubber that you couldn't do anything with. ESPECIALLY as wrestling toys, the whole point of which was to put your guys into poses. "Twist and turn 'em into different wrestling holds?" Are they going to be bendy like Gumbys? They'll look all distorted. The old 8" LJNs said "Twist 'em, turn 'em, wrestle 'em", that's why this says "Twist and turn 'em into different wrestling holds". We all know only the Bendies could twist and turn. For being solid rubber figures, the old LJNs still hold their collectors value. These Young Bucks LJNs aren't coming to stores or supermarkets these are mainly for collectors, probably on the Chalk Line site (owners of LJN).

I think the Hasbro Marvel figures look close enough to Mattel elites... I don't really collect the Marvel figs but from what I've seen in the toy aisles, aren't they a little smaller scale-wise? Don't know, saw a picture of a 6-inch Retro Wolverine and thought: resembles elites.

I hope that whoever makes them would make them playable and to scale with Mattel Elites. Does anyone know if Mattel has a patent on the Elite-style body/joint configurations? Can a company do that? A lot of companies seem to have made their figures on the old Jakks body styles so hmmm... I think the Hasbro Marvel figures look close enough to Mattel elites...

Whats the scale like to Hasbro figures? That link has a picture stating Hornswoggle is 5", Hasbros are around 5".

I'm actually pretty excited for these. Hope we get Cody, Brandi, Hangman, Marty and Kenny. LJN's were a bit before my time but I like how they look on display. I wouldn't get my hopes up; the box just reads "Young Bucks". My guess is it's just a deal with the Jacksons. This also implies limited quantities and a pretty hefty price...

I think they’d be best off going with Remco. That would be Zoloworld then; Remco doesn't exist anymore, Zoloworld owns the molds.

It’s $15 And this line isn’t meant to look great. It’s a retro line. Don’t expect realism Exactly. It is a Mego, after all. Besides, this Mego Andre is still more acurate than that Jakks Andre with double strap singlet and kneepads.

I know you fellow marks read the same Jericho interview as I did where he revealed that there is a tv deal in place. What billionaire would start a wrestling promotion and not have it be a television program. You guys watch too much of the indies. Aew will be like an Indy with a billions of dollar machine pulling it. In other words, nothing like an Indy. It may go the way of tna. Tna was on national prime time television. Live at one point. It had two separate toy lines. A video game. Some of these accomplishments took place before they even had the billion dollar backing. The tna comparison is a fair one. Surely they’d hope to be more successful, but you guys are acting like if they only duplicate the success of tna that they’d not have achieved anything and that’s not true because if you compared a prime tna to any random Indy it would be like comparing eminem to a kid at your local high school talent show. I never said they didnt have a TV deal...i said a LEGIT tv deal. TNA/Impact hasnt been on a legit channel in what 3 years? Even then Spike wasnt in every market. Sorry but if AEW pops up on Twitch or Fite or whatever random streaming service that is available to all of 50k people...its not gonna be major. TNA was broadcasted worldwide when it's popularity peaked: from 2005 to about 2010. Even Lucha Underground was broadcasted worldwide. AEW won't be big right from the start, but I think it's debut will be better than TNA's debut. .
