I always thought Vampiro was extremely rare to find. I never was interested in those, but Goldberg 2 looks great!
Nice collection!

I get that Hasbro released the King of the Ring ring because King of the Ring became the 5th pay-per-view in 1993. Why they made the ring yellow with red posts is beyond me; a black ring with blue posts I'd understand.

Nice Warrior! I've always hated the color purple, but this figure is the best Warrior that Hasbro released in the main series (I would've preferred black over purple). I'm one of those that think grading is overrated. Sending them to UKG is even worse... UK Graders claim: "We are here to offer an honest and third party grading system for your treasured collectables! Here at UKG our staff have over 27 years knowledge and experience in this field enabling us to give an accurate and honest grade for your items." Then they crushed that claim by grading a loose El Matador and "The Model" Rick Martel as Strike Force, giving the team a grading of U90%. Sure at one point in time Santana and Martel were Strike Force, but El Matador and "The Model" Rick Martel were not a team. However, UKG could even make a bigger mistake; they graded a loose Berzerka (couldn't even write Berzerker correctly) and Warlord as the Powers of Pain, with a grading of 85%. Berzerker never was The Barbarian, in the AWA he was Nord the Barbarian... For me UKG lost all credibility. Attachment DeletedAttachment Deleted

Same heads but non-removable.
Squirt Heads: put in water, squeeze head to fill, pull out of water, squeeze head to squirt water.
Power Grip Squirts: fill handle with water, squeeze handle to squirt water.

Whoops ok apparently Zoloworld also released Boris Zhukov in bone-white skintone dubbed Preytus - Wraith of Archeron, and the Sheik in a light skintone as Ulysseus in the Realms of the Underworld line. I know we're getting close to thread drift with this, but there is a NYCC edition of that "Hercules" figure that is just basically Nord complete with facepaint, chain, and fur accessories identical to the AWA figure but with the fur textured trunks and wrist bracers of the Lost World Of Warlord style figures. And the Ulysseus head can be put on a Larry Z Remco body and pass as a loose, incomplete AWA Adnan (but not correct. If you see one with a body that looks like Larry or Martel, it's a custom. Don't be fooled). It's why I'm always careful looking at auctions for those figures. I imagine someone has overpaid for a reproduction/custom that way. They haven't done a flesh colored figure using the Boris head as far as I can recall. Pretty disappointing they released "Ceremonial" Hercules that way; outside of a lighter skintone, different arms, crotch and legs that's Nord... Anyway we're indeed drifting off. About time we get to see the Young Bucks!

Zoloworld owns the Remco molds. Years ago they teased a generic wrestling line, but so far they only released a darker skintone of Nord the Barbarian and dubbed him Hercules - Son of Zeus for their Realms of the Underworld line... Yeah, the Zoloworld stuff is amazing. It is also cautionary. If you see Nord The Barbarian, Boris Zuchov, or Sheik Adnan figures that look too new to be true, they may be! LOL On topic, I am more optimistic than before now that AEW is falling into place. With Cody at the forefront these are smart guys calling the shots and they will understand their fanbase and exactly what they will and will not support. There's a balance to be struck with any specialty merchandise, making it feel "exclusive" or limited while not making it seem overly so as to be unobtainable. Again, they know what they're doing. I mean, look at all the free publicity and mileage they got from one tweet showing the corner of a box. Whoops ok apparently Zoloworld also released Boris Zhukov in bone-white skintone dubbed Preytus - Wraith of Archeron, and the Sheik in a light skintone as Ulysseus in the Realms of the Underworld line.

Maybe AEW will get a line? They just got shirts & hoodies, thinking about figures is a bit early...

Did a quick search and that ones going to be hard to find. I'm still trying to track down a Hogan vs flair main event 2 pack. IIRC back in 2001 he was the most wanted figure from the Unleashed series.

This is awesome news and all, but I'm over here waiting on someone to revive the AWA Remco line... Zoloworld owns the Remco molds. So it's basically a Fatal 4 Way version of Karate Fighters? Pretty much, yeah.

Absolutely agree. The Jackson brothers are not my personal thing, but they are marketing geniuses and appeal to a rabid fanbase who will not only buy pretty much anything that supports the Young Bucks brand, but will get their peers excited about it too. I think a lot of people on these forums tend to get very sour and jaded and are vastly underestimating the appeal of both the Elite/Bucks brand and the retro fascination with LJN style figures. Would something like this ever be competing for shelf space with Star Wars toys or WWE Mattel figures? Not very likely. But they would definitely be a hit with the target audience in the same vein as the stuff from Super7 or Mezco. but the super 7 wrestling stuff hasn’t been very popular or successful. I wish it was but I suspect we’ve seen the last of the wwe and Lucha Libre muscle figurines. I don't think Super7 intended to make more than the 6 Legends of Lucha Libre and the 12 WWE Legends... Even though I'd LOVE ReAction wrestling figures!

I can't really see this actually happening, regardless of who is involved. At least not with the big rubber figures we associate with LJN. The costs are simply astronomical to produce those overseas and then ship, because of the weight. And if you try to produce them in America, the labor costs are much much higher... making the value you'd save on labor (but gain on shipping from China) means it's probably net cancellation. There's a reason why the cheap, light, plastic figures from Jakks/Mattel are what sell now. Cost are they the big, solid ones or the smaller bendies? i don't know off hand if the original ljn said "twist and turn...." on the side of the boxes The regular LJNs also said "twist and turn....". They probably will get released as the regular LJNs we know, but at a premium/collectors price.

Hmmmm very odd. I get the concept, but it just looks terrible to me. I can't even really envision what they are shooting for with that, because all I see are Frankenstein wrestlers lol OK I'll quote the (previous?) owner: The Warrior is made up of various body parts as seen in the pics;factory painted and hand painted. Warrior's head, Ax's torso, Duggan's trunks and legs. Although crude looking, the mechanics on the action feature seems pretty complex. It is held together by glue, pins and screws. When you pull back the string in his back, his arm raises up and it pounds up and down. I am not sure whether this was meant to replicate him beating his chest or shaking ring ropes. Unfortunately only the left arm works. I can't see inside to know where the right arm connection broke off. Enjoy the pics and I look forward to your comments. My guess: they used Ax' torso because it was the easiest to house that mechanism. Come to think of it, the mechanism kind of made it to Ultimate Warrior 3: without the string and without articulated elbows and wrists. Also since this is a mock-up it is very well possible it was never meant to be for the WWF series, but rather to get the license to produce Conan figures: the Conan the Adventurer has this exact mechanism with string (as noted by Meatybat in the original topic) :
