To everyone complaining:
If ROH flashback figs were mass-produced in full retail qualities, they would've rotted pegs worse than the NXT flashbacks of Reigns and Rusev. Online exclusive is the way to go, and I think 1/5000 could be the perfect balance. I've been dying for an ROH figure line for a decade now but there isn't gonna be huge mass appeal for this stuff. 1000 would be too tough, 3000 would make 'em tough but doable, and 5000 we all shouldn't have any problem getting them. The ShopAEW figs are 3,000 and once the hype died down they're easily available and up for weeks at a time.
We're getting classic ROH figs. At the end of the day, this is a good thing!

Y'all can keep complaining about Becky when she's clearly the best looking fig in that four-pack too lol, the others don't even come close from a purely aesthetic/entrance attire perspective lol Becky lynch sucks. The wwe are TELLING people how good she is, but she just isnt that good. Her promos suck, her entitled attitude sucks (she wants to headline night 2 of wrestlemania now) and did i mention she sucks? When you say The rock....stone cold....hulk hogan, the next names that roll off the tongue would be bret hart, the undertaker, shawn michaels, kane, jumpin jeff farmer.....becky is being rammed down peoples throats as something special, but other than calling herself the man (totally stupid) she has done nothing new. That's all just your personal opinion. She was the top babyface, man or woman, in the entire company at the height of her run whether you like her or don't like her. Her being included in that four-pack is not a big deal. ROCKY MAIVIA is a far worse choice, it's not the Rock.

It means sheâs out of place in a set amongst the biggest stars in wrestling history. Itâd be like a football icons 4 pack including Maradona, Pele, Messi and some random woman. Except we're circling back to the fact that she isn't a "random woman". She's the biggest female star, and in the top 2-3 biggest stars in current wrestling. Again, not liking her is fine, feeling she doesn't deserve the push she's getting or whatever is fine as that's subjective, pretending she's not a major wrestling star is willfully ignoring reality. And women's wrestling popularity isn't just a U.S. thing. Stardom in Japan has been on absolute FIRE since 2020, moving up from like the 8th biggest promotion in the country, to the fourth, to now the unquestioned No. 2 wrestling promotion in all of Japan business-wise/tickets sold/popularity. The old heads whining here (and I'm an old head myself, just not whining about it lol) are telling on themselves, like I said.

Love the middle age men getting butt hurt about probably the biggest woman star in pro wrestling being in a toy set. Also that Austin is perfect and I canât wait to own it. I'm not a current WWE guy at all (prefer NJPW/AEW/etc.) but my god the whining has been out of control about her. People are really telling on themselves. Becky is and has been a star, I'm quite honestly dumbfounded at the annoying internet backlash to it. If anything, "Rocky Maivia" and not "The Rock" is the one that sticks out like a sore thumb in that set.

I don't like the Razor head either (I'll probably be doing a head swap) but I do think it's pretty clear that they were going for his face from the iconic image of him holding both belts on the ladder. Face definitely looks like they were going for that.

This is a joke, right? Please tell me you know there's way more to wrestling than just WWE. Sorry if I offended anyone. Im Just curious. Im Always tempted to purchase figures from Turtles, Connan - but I have never justified in my head a reason to buy a figure from these other wrestling toy companies. Also im assuming that they are higher priced than WWE Mattel figures, am I right? It's all good, I'm not offended, and I don't mean to be abrupt. But this is like the golden age of wrestling figures PRECISELY because we have so many options at the moment. It rules. That comparison is not exactly the right comparison, in my opinion. There is way more to wrestling than just WWE, both then and now. I think the point that could be made is if other companies were making, say, Ahmed Johnson, without the rights to the wrestler himself. That would suck and be unethical. But these companies are paying the wrestlers for their likeness so they have every right to make them. These aren't bootlegs we're talking about here. (Also, to your point ... I don't display any modern retro figures (Mattels, Zombie Sailor, etc.) alongside Hasbros, or Powertown next to Mattels. I treat them as their own separate things.) WWE itself had a ton of different companies over the years. Hasbro, Jakks, now Mattel. I had Hasbros as a kid, and it would be weird if I refused to buy Mattels because I had to remain loyal to Hasbro for some odd reason. I love AEW and New Japan. So I buy AEW and New Japan figures, as well as Mattels. Powertown is making figures of guys from the 70s and 80s; back then there were tons of promotions around the world, not just WWF. A lot of those wrestlers never really were in WWF in the first place. Mid-Atlantic/Crockett (eventually became WCW), Mid-South, World Class, Stampede, etc. You can watch a lot of these promotions on the Network actually if you're not familiar; they were awesome. Embrace the variety! I've been collecting these things forever and this time is wild and fun.

Mattels: I buy pretty much all elite/ultimate versions of legends up to around 2004 ish. I display by sections: 80s, early 90s, new gen, attitude era, all loose. I also get some figs signed MOC. Stopped doing modern WWE figs cause I don't really watch these days.
AEW: At least one of every guy/girl loose on display, and I basically buy any one that I think looks cool lol. Also some MOC autographed.
I also collect any Japan stuff that comes out + Powertown. And am slowly picking away at classic superstars that I'm missing.

Facebook wrestling figure groups is the way to go these days, just try to do your research on who you're buying/selling from in there. It's where I do all of my buying and selling these days but every so often a scam comes along that get some people/etc. (I've had only good experiences myself.)

I'm very bummed right now. Hoping there's some late miracle surge (I think there's like a 15 percent chance we get a late one, otherwise we're cooked lol)

To everyone saying things are getting worse -- I honestly think this latest set is pretty par for the course. Jamie and Private Party absolutely rule, but then the bad ones (FTR! my god lol) are REALLY bad. This has always been the thing with this line, for me. The good ones are really good ones, but the floor for the bad ones is really, really low.
Luckily for me, I'm a pick and choose guy (I stick to one look per character for my display) so I think if you pick and choose with this line you're golden. Just avoid the really bad ones lol.

One of the best things this has illustrated is online is a microcosm of a niche and you canât take either or any opinion as gospel or literal âWcw stage, take my moneyâ - doesnât mean put out a stage and Iâll buy it. It means if a stage is out out at s price which makes sense to me and Iâm personally in a position where itâs possible snd I like the figure(s) bundled Iâll buy it âHogan sucks, no one wants itâ means âI personally donât like the hogan or need itâ not that anyone doesnât want it âWe need more wcw figuresâ doesnât mean we necessarily want big playsets but more wcw figures. However it also doesnât mean another section donât want big play sets As a âcommunityâ the ages, likes, collections, finances, home situation etc are vastly different. If this crowdfund has illustrated anything is that thereâs a hundred different pockets who each want, can afford, dislike etc as many different things as the other groups like. A lot of arguing and division around it is âworthâ it, it isnât âworth itâ etc but ultimately the only person who can decide if itâs worth it for them (for them being key) is the individual themselves. I think it's also shown that a ton of wrestling figure collectors are just not ready to spend this much on a premium item/aren't used to this type of price bracket. I'm the opposite -- this was a Day 1 immediate purchase for me, and honestly I would pay more for it. These are exactly the type of premium items I want as an adult wrestling figure collector. I also have experience buying Hot Toys in the past in this $300-400 price point; so much of the discussion/debate that I've seen on the forum and the various Facebook groups leads to me to believe that a lot of wrestling fig collectors don't have much experience with that price point. This is not a criticism of them, and at the same time I'm not trying to prop myself up either. I just didn't have the same type of sticker shock that it seems like a lot of others have had because I've bought Hot Toys before. I also wish just in general that the payment plan option was stressed so much louder by both Mattel and by fans. There's a reason why for those of us who buy Hot Toys, it is loud and clear from the start that various payment plans are available and welcomed and embraced. Most of us who buy those could never, ever afford them otherwise, but the payment plan option is a big piece of the puzzle. A couple payments of $100 for me (or even $30/month for a year) are so much more doable than $400 straight up imo for this item. I do think that concept needs to be learned/accepted/gotten used to by a good chunk of the wrestling fig community.

I'm in the minority in that I both want as many Angles as humanly possible AND I'm perfectly OK with this. As the post above me from No Way Out shows, in that 2000-early 2001 era he had the straps all the way down way more than you'd think (I recently binge-watched all of that era). So I'm cool with it as is. If it comes with the crappy rubber singlet top I just won't use it and it will look like the picture above anyways.

I want exactly the type of eye-catching display pieces that they've offered us so far. They give us a billion figures and anybody they have signed they'll find a way to put out in a set, we don't need Kickstarter for that. The whole point of the kickstarter is for premium, high-priced options like display pieces imo.

Nitro ring would require different posts/turnbuckles/etc. to be accurate. If we're gonna go for it with these big-ticket items, I'd much rather prefer them to be accurate than just slapping some old WWF turnbuckles onto a Nitro ring They couldnât include that in a tier for this ring? Iâd rather have that than another rey or another hogan. Then you're cannibalizing your market, though. It may be frustrating but I 1000 percent get releasing a separate New Gen Ring, a separate Attitude Era Ring, and a separate Nitro ring. They need more rings out there as a baseline to get people more into the add-ons/supplemental stuff. I believe Steve even said as much after I had that line of thought.

So I have to buy another ring to collect dust for the ring mats and posts but they couldnât include them in the crowd fund which would have driven sales? Lol mattel is getting too money hungry. Getting kind of fed up. Nitro ring would require different posts/turnbuckles/etc. to be accurate. If we're gonna go for it with these big-ticket items, I'd much rather prefer them to be accurate than just slapping some old WWF turnbuckles onto a Nitro ring

I cannot believe that they somehow took the greatest wrestling figure of all-time (DM Macho Mania 7) and somehow made it BETTER. Incredible

The JBL figure makes me so mad. Haven't released a proper 2004-05 heel champion version in almost 10 years. Nobody asked for that attire. My friend who buys like 2 figures a year saw that attire and said it's an instant buy for him because it's that attire, just saying lol
