Nothing will ever beat the Phantom Menace for the PS1. That damn game. Soooooooo frustrating at almost every turn with the gameplay, but I absolutely LOVED the Mos Espa level. I pumped so many hours into that level just screwing around. I remember going on rampages and killing anything I could. I think someone randomly yells at you "YOU'RE NOOOO JEDIIII!" when you start attacking them lol. YERRR A NO GOOD KILLLERRRR!!

These are all really solid points.. One thing I completely agree with is the fan service. Star Wars has enough to work off of that they don't need to constantly have call backs to the original trilogy.. When the two guys (Cornelius and Ponda) from the Cantina bumped into Jyn, I couldn't help but roll my eyes at such a ridiculous and unnecessary cameo.. That was one of the few moments that I totally hated and took me out of the movie. I'll also rival your Ghostbusters comparison of Rogue One to 2015's Jurassic World in terms of beating you over the head with fan service. We're living in a very odd time for big budget Hollywood cinema.. Where they seem to have put all their chips in on nostalgia and callbacks.. Even when the callbacks do not make a lick of sense. The more I think about it the more I believe that 'member berries are real. He lost me when he made comparisons to the GB remake.....seemed predisposed to dislike the movie if ya ask me......but to each their own and all that. I cant believe nobody is talking about the Rebels season 3 part 2 trailer??? good Lord people. Maybe I am predisposed, if that's the case. Ghostbusters problem, Jurassic World's problem, The Force Awakens problem, most modern day blockbusters...nobody is concerned about just doing their own thing. Ghostbusters would have been 100x better if they had at least attempted to not worry about the past. Everyone craps on the prequels, Crystal Skull, etc...they in no way play to nostalgia and tried to make their own, new scenes for better or for worse. Ghostbusters TRIES this, well even. That scene where they're blowing up the parade floats is great...and of course the last one HAS to be Stay Puft Marshmallow Man. Member berries are definitely real. Especially when they're built into the fiber of the plot you're building like TFA and JW. Why? Why do these things have to happen? Because people love the experience, being in the theater and clapping for things they already know about that can make them feel special. Nobody wants to be pushed to take in anything new. That's just the way I see it. Rogue One looked unique and different in the trailer to a degree that it was using pre-established elements in a new way and style and it was exciting (AT-AT blasts on the beach, the foreboding Death Star). The weight of this sort of thing was almost completely lost within the movie. When Rogue One was first announced you couldn't have paid me to watch it, and after the first trailer I knew I would buy a ticket. If anything my 'pre-disposition' was snuffed out. Meanwhile TFA was able to elevate both Kylo Ren and Rey and give us something new, different and welcoming in a way that fits in with the other Star Wars films snug like a glove. And of course most people hate him because he's 'whiny'. Just weird reasoning in my opinion. You walk a fine line between silly and unnecessary self reference and providing something 'new' and most movies are kind of like 'screw it' and it gets exhausting. Why mess with our suspension of disbelief? Creed did this best. Played off the Rocky timeline, brought something new and didn't forcefeed references to the previous Rocky movies, just gave them when needed as we were within that world and left it at that. There was no 'bump into Clubber Lang 30 years later' in the hallway just to get people to pop for Mr. T in the movie theater. They took the basis and created their own thing. It seems simple to me in some cases and the only reason I can think it isn't done more often is the general need to suck down as much nostalgia as possible for most movie-goers.

AJ Styles crushes basically any Royal Rumble surprise of all time. Things haven't felt like that since back in the day when someone would switch sides. It may have been better than that. It's hard to believe now as he has fit in so well that it was someone who basically came from 'non-existence'. We'll never be in that position again in our lifetimes, likely.

Anybody else absolutely shocked by the positive response this movie is getting? Man I am definitely not on the same page with everyone else. The more I think about it the worse it gets, too. There really wasn't much I liked other than Donnie Yen and a few other things. It made me feel a lot better about Episode VII , though, so I can take solace in that. Clearly I'm mostly alone. I really liked Rogue One but I'm truly interested in why you didn't.. Ever since I finally got around to seeing it on Sunday night I have been fascinated at the negative responses. Mainly because I noticed everything negative that people have pointed out.. But for some reason during my viewing of the film I just didn't care. One thing I will 100% agree on is that Jyn Erso and Cassian are two of the most bland and hollow protagonists that Star Wars has ever had.. I didn't care about their characters in the slightest. Man, where do I begin is what it feels like. Mind you, I went into this with low but optimistic expectations. Never was I predisposed to hate this movie. Great point on the protagonists being bland and hollow. It really starts there, doesn't it? I legitimately just didn't care and was already exhausted with the idea that Jyn is an orphaned girl on her own 'left behind' (as if we didn't JUST see that) but I got past it. Not only that Forest Whittaker was basically a waste so they didn't get much from the supporting characters with the exception of Yen who I thought had great enthusiasm and worked really well but that may just be because I enjoy him in general. I think what's shocking me so far is overall the movie just seemed poorly made. From the really bizarre pacing, especially towards the end ( why end on the Vader fan service? Great, it made everyone happy, but at the cost of almost the entire movie. Could I care about the characters any less than before if I already know their fate and then am shifted to a character that isn't particularly relevant to what's going on from their perspective?) to the editing ( why have those title cards which has never been a necessity in a Star Wars movie EVER and then abandon them halfway through, among other things?) and strange plot as a movie in general I thought it was a snoozer. And then of course the fan service was off the charts in a way that really only Ghostbusters 2016 has rivaled at this point. Even Marvel isn't as bad as that was and it's no secret that I am no fan of Marvel movies. If close up shots of blue milk, cameos by characters who were only bit parts to begin with, have no extended relevance and have no business being in the movie is where we're headed it's going to be cringe-worthy and hard to suspend disbelief. Why do I want to watch a movie I'm constantly being taken out of? I thought Grand Moff Tarkin and then, Leia, were both terrible ideas. I don't know how you guys feel about the 'uncanny valley' theory but mine was off the charts for this. Do I think it looked bad? No, of course not, it's impressive, but impressive isn't good enough when something like that needs to be perfect. All I saw were two cartoon people trying to be paraded around as real people and it didn't work for me at all. Maybe the day will come where we can't tell the difference but this was not the case. I like Gareth Edward's eye for cultures/people. I hated Godzilla but he has this going in Monsters pretty well. When these filmmakers embrace the visual precedent that Star Wars has already set, they do well. They try too hard to make things 'new' at times and it just isn't as good. That mining city in the beginning was like Coruscant but had it's own flavor. It was like the difference between New York and Detroit, something like that. Same with the desert streets with all those different alien types ( other than the cameo that made me want to gouge my eyeballs out). Best scene in the movie was the rebellion arguing about whether or not to listen to Jyn about the plans around that round table, where everyone that are supposed to be good guys were all being shady as hell and selfish. Also, Jimmy Smits owned that scene ( only to be ruined right after with his conversation with Mon Mothma where he just checked off all the talking points in three sentences "daughter" "clone wars" "jedi" etc.). That scene made things seem like they had some real weight and seriousness unlike Episode 7 where they figure out how to blow up the star killer in a 2 minute conversation after 30 years of unexplained struggle. While there are some things this movie (barely) did better than Episode 7, this did make me feel better about that movie and like it more so I guess that's a plus. I was gauging whether or not I would see any of the standalone Star Wars movies on this as I think they are a bad idea overall because it looked interesting and actually good in the trailers and now I know for sure I can skip them.

JAWS Unleashed.
Sharks are my favorite things, hands down, like 10 steps ahead of anything else on earth and in life. So this was basically the game I have been waiting for since I was 3. I liked how it loosely continued the movie stories and that was it so it worked well all around for me, even though I don't care much about the narrative in most video games. For a lot of people I guess the 'story' experience wasn't good enough but for me it was a shark simulator on drugs which is basically all I could have possibly ever asked for.

Anyone else still playing this regularly? We have a Wii U at work and take it pretty serious. I just lost in the finals of the tournament today ![:(](http://www.wrestlingfigs.com/images/sad.gif) . Mega Man is my main and just made stupid mistakes against Villager. Who do you use? Thoughts on styles of play? I'm not really into the tournament style thing where people are battling each other off stage in mid air and it's basically just like who can solve a math equation quicker.

My local TRU has about 8 of the Keaton Batman figures. I was really surprised considering it can't out 2 years ago and there was a fresh restock of them. oOoOOooOoo... How would you like to make your buddy Tom very happy??!

The fact that this rumor has lasted as long as it has makes me want to just see it happen so the people that swear it will be 'amazing' and 'game changing' will finally be silenced when they see how it does absolutely nothing, ends and then is never spoken of again.
