Always peak looks. And if they had more than one peak (Surfer/Crow Sting, Hulk/Hollywood Hogan), we should ideally get both. This.

I could see them releasing it as a Defining Moments figure... seems a natural for that line. IDK. DMs are just normal elites now in a smaller DM box. They’re priced the same as regular elites now. I guess it’s possible but seems like to get a cloth duster with that much detail it’ll have to be in the UE line. The duster doesn't seem that detailed though(?). I think if they can do the Legends 8 Warrior duster as a standard Elite figure, then they could probably do this one too.

Am I the only one that backed it thats not completely unhinged & distraught that it didnt pass through? I mean...it’s a toy. A really cool toy Id love to have....but Jesus some of you need to seek professional help. No. it’s $400 back in my pocket and don’t have to worry about rearranging my entire collection to accommodate it. I’m sure we’ll get a WCW Hulkster elite so no big loss there. Steiner will likely get the Jeff Hardy treatment since he’s a very toyetic character and his deal can end at any time. Only heartbreaker is Warrior cuz I don’t think we will ever see that figure. It’s the one figure in the set that probably could only be executed as UE. Hopefully we get the black jeans 2nd appearance Warrior UE in the MNW line. I could see them releasing it as a Defining Moments figure... seems a natural for that line.

I legit was going to pay the $400 for just the Rey before Steiner was added. I could have just bought the figure on secondary for a lot less had it got funded but wanted to help the stage get backed for those that wanted it too. You’re a true wrestling collector brother I respect that. I backed 5 stages to keep 3 and sell 2 for people who missed out. It’s pathetic we couldn’t get 5k behind this project people will make any excuse they can but reality is this one will be a regret of our community for years to come. Mattel did an amazing job with this stage unfortunately the audience they have isn’t. ...no it won't be. The reality is less than 3250 people backed this (there were 3 x 250 orders). A lot of people didn't/don't care and certainly won't be crying/regretting it for years to come. 100% telling you and whoever didn’t back the stage you ain’t a true wrestling collector. Nah people bitched and moaned about more figs more ultimates please and Mattel gave us 5 potential ultimates with this crowdfund. And even added a second to the base cause everyone was complaining. Yeah all the LEDs, plastics, lights whatever costs money to produce this is a business they need to make a profit so I don’t see the problem with that at all. Thousands of fans who saw this stage years ago were all over it and when it came time to put your money where your mouth is they didn’t. That’s pathetic to me 100% I’ve stated many times on the thread that I feel for my international brothers and offered MANY times to back a few more for the TRUE fans that really wanted it and got no response. It will be a regret for us not Mattel they make millions off the WWE line they didn’t have to offer us the stage they offered it to us cause we said we wanted it… 🤣🤣🤣

Hot(?) take: Neither the Raw stage or the Smackdown first would have come close to hitting 11,000, and frankly would have had trouble being funded at 5,000 as well. I don't think they would have been funded either... along with ALL the other issues, these things are just too big and expensive (...seriously, have you seen the size of the Raw one!? It's ridiculous). People are saying the failure of the Nitro stage sucks because we won't get any more similar items? Not really. I mean, it won't matter to me... it probably won't matter to most collectors (less than 4K backers worldwide kind of proves that). The market just isn't there (or big enough). Bottom line: forget these huge stages/things - and give us something like some nice UE figure boxsets instead 😎.

We aren’t gonna get anything remotely close to this ever again. We’ve clamored for something like this every time they show it at a show and we got the opportunity to put our money where our mouth is and we didn’t do it. Best we can hope for is something similar in scale and scope to the New Gen arena. On Mattel’s end, wrong figures, poorly advertised until the last minute on WWE TV, and international shipping were a big issue. #Mattel screwed Mattel.

Mattel, can we get the figures now? If not regular release @ $33/ea how about made to order like Logan Paul @ $45/ea? I suggested maybe do a crowdfunding for just the figures... something around $200-$250 seems reasonable - either in a special boxset, or each individually packaged inside a large Nitro case/box. I think it would sell.

Honestly, if I’m Mattel I take one look at the Official Thread and say “ it, we are done.” It’s just going to be the same story. If they do the RAW stage it’ll cost more so we will get cost complaints. If it includes Foley, Triple H, Rock, Austin and Undertaker, then people will post stupid sh** like “They should have included a first time in the line Val Venis or Owen Hart!!!!” despite knowing that’s not how it works. If it’s the Smackdown fist it might be cheaper but when Rey is rightfully part of it again the same dopes will be like “Rey doesn’t sell!!!” It’s just going to go in a circle. The New Gen worked at that price point because it was something new that opened the idea of crowdfunds and the Doink was niche and Macho was an added bonus. Remember, people threw a fit about the Diesel. “It should have been Bret or Razor or Shawn!!!!!” I just don’t see the juice being worth the squeeze. Yeah... anything similar to this and people (I'm including myself here) will again complain about the size, the cost, the figures/selection, the international thing... all the same issues. It's probably not worth the effort/hassle/tooling etc.

Put out figures, not playsets. We'll back it every time. They don't need to crowdfund figs I've seen people say this - but there's no way you'd get a themed Ultimate Edition 4-5 figure boxset (or a faction set like NWO or DX) at retail.

Personally, the only crowdfunding thing I'd be interested in are exclusive figures/figure sets.

It was too expensive. I dont need a real scale entrance with all the lights. Make something smaller, and with one obscure and one main eventer for 300$. Ok, why not back it for the people who wanted it? Then just resell it ...that's crazy.

I really don't think there's enough interest in large/expensive items like the stage... what were people mainly talking about? The figures. Same with the New Gen set... yes, the entrance-way was cool - but it was Macho and Doink that sold it/got people excited.
So if Mattel do another crowdfunding thing, why not try a figure set? (eg. the NWO or DX). Yes, I know Steve has said crowdfunding is for things they couldn't/wouldn't sell at retail - but honestly, would a $200+ boxset of 4-5 UE figures really be feasible at retail? I don't think so. And as the Retros, Coliseum Collection, and UE Cody and Logan Paul figures have shown, the market is definitely there for exclusive figures and figure sets.
Anyway... just thinking out loud, lol.

It really is baffling why they didn't just charge UK/international backers the cost price ($400) plus the extra shipping... it seemed such a simple way of doing things (it's how they did thimgs for the New Gen set too).
Who on earth wants to pay all the import fees etc. up front/all in one go, when they're already paying extra for the shipping? Not to mention the unexplained overcharge (which was £32 at the minimum).
I'd really like Mattel - and more specifically the scam-tastic Mattel Creations website - to learn from this and stop overcharging us for everything... I'd buy a GREAT deal more from them if they did .

Well this sucks, would be nice to get an extention but honestly I seriously doubt it due to the legalities of the agreed payment date and such. And even the legal aspects aside I can totally understand why Mattel wouldn't wanna go back on their word, sets a really bad precident for future projects if people think Mattel will bend and cave like that. I really don't care about losing those figures, other than Steiner they were a very questionable selection in my opinion, I would have much rather had more obscure choices and new names than people who have already had loads of figures. And even Steiner personally I'd prefer a late-WCW shorts version with the chainmail. If I could personally "save" one thing from this though, it'd be the WCW letterblock. Even without the stage that would make a really cool display piece. Perhaps they could release it in a 3-pack of figures, similar to what they did with that 3-pack of 1-2-3 Kid, Razor and Undertaker that came with the Raw letters piece.I'm probably gonna avoid this thread from now, cos people being smug and "know-it-all" about it failing will annoy me. It's arrogant and disrespectful to both the WF community and Mattel. Great idea.

Offer the 5 figures as a new crowdfunding deal, for something like $250... I'd back them!👍

Lmao why would they try this again with something bigger that will cost more? So they say but I have no doubt the Raw stage would've been backed even if it would cost more than the WCW stage. ...nope.

One last failure in the name of WCW ...that's probably why they did the Nitro stage first 😉
