So the Nitro stage failed, as we have kind of expected these last few weeks. They have spent enough time and money on this so far, that I have to think that somehow, some parts of this will come out in some way or form. This also supposedly kills the RAW stage too as a crowdfunding, if that was based in fact on the success of this Nitro crowdfund. So I am wondering if there is a way to get this out still - the previously discussed '2 in 1' stage.
Maybe the next crowdfunding would be for just ‘Monday Night War Stage'. Make it generic enough, and customizable enough, that it can be used for both Raw or Nitro.
The Nitro portions that are unique are the two standees, the two banners, and the two plaques above and at the back of the center of the stage. The Raw specific items seem to be the big Raw is War logo (which appears to be on fabric), some black curtains, and the two tall lights. Both have separate types of lighting, but honestly, remove the lights and that removes a huge roadblock.
If those items are removed, then we are left with basically a stage that can be configurable, and various girders, which also can be configurable. That can be the basic crowdfund.
Next we can have stretch goals of the various items that are exclusive to each set. Along with a figure. Honestly, I would make these unique figures - but using a lot of existing parts, which could actually give us more figures for the crowdfund.
Here is my idea.
Monday Night War Stage - Basic Crowdfund - 5,000 required - $400 --- Basic Stage and background set - includes configurable stage flooring (can be Nitro or Raw sized), configurable girders (can be shaped as either Nitro or Raw setup), and the generic black curtains and lights from the Raw setup --- Includes 2 figures, one from Raw and one from Nitro. Both people who appeared on the first episodes of each - Bobby 'The Brain' Heenan, and 'Mean' Gene Okerlund.
Early Bird Special figure - Vince McMahon in Raw is War jacket
Stretch Goal #1 - 6,000 needed --- WCW Nitro Curtains and a figure - Pastamania Hulk Hogan. T-Shirt, Chef Hat, etc.
Stretch Goal #2 - 7,000 needed --- Raw is War Logo curtain and a figure - Mankind, from the 1/4/99 episode where he won the title
Stretch Goal #3 - 8,000 needed --- WCW Nitro two plaques and a figure - Ric Flair in tuxedo from his return 9/14/98
Stretch Goal #4 - 9,000 needed --- Raw is War Lights - two tall lights and a figure - The Rock, from the 1/4/99 episode where he lost the title
Stretch Goal #5 - 10,000 needed --- WCW Nitro Standees - and a figure - Madusa, from the 12/18/95 episode where she dropped the WWF woman's title in the trash
Stretch Goal #6 - 11,000 needed --- Crow Sting figure with harness and clip on set to replicate a drop from the ceiling.
So if we get the full 10,000 backers, we would have both the Nitro and Raw stage, along with 9 figures, assuming we get the early bird. The fact that it is 2 in 1 could lead more people to purchase two of these (I know I probably would).
The Sting figure obviously would only be possible if Sting signs a Legends contract with WWE after his current AEW contract expires this year.
The other big thing to fix is the international shipping. If this wasn’t an issue, the Nitro stage would have passed, and I would hate to see the same thing happen here.

As Vince would say, No chance in hell!
Seriously, we aren’t getting ALL of that, inside of 11k with that many figures and stage add ins at each tier.

They seem to be so unorganized with the lack of advertising like Mattel don’t care if they fund or not. They wait until what, the last 2 days to have NXT advertise it? Same with Hulk Hogan, just seen DDP send out a tweet a few hours ago saying something about backing it and today being the last day, when it’s already gone lol. Even with not adding the credit part of it until the last few days, screwing up the internationals. If Mattel really wanted this funded they would have got it funded. But me personally, I won’t worry with backing another one.

Pretty sure these entrance stages are done. You could only get little under 4K people to back this because they were crying about the price, they’re definitely not paying more for the Raw entrance.

You need to first understand that Mattel is more than just WWE. A LOT more. I said in the MC thread that Steve and Bill and the team will more than likely have to pitch to their bosses why their WWE team should even get a future MC project.

We can't get a Sting figure... At this point, I won't be backing any future crowdfunds. This was the one I wanted. After hearing people complain about multiple things, price, size etc. I don't think we should get another one and if we do give it a long time for people to desire it. I believe Steve did an astounding job, but Mattel (as a whole) could of done better. Marketing, showing more HD pictures of this set, having "influencers" photograph the samples. SHOWING US how the remote works etc, would of been heaps better than what we got. Even small things like Scott Steiner's cheaply painted biker trunks. They should of been sculpted. It was poorly handled and as a community I feel like a lot of us pushed this thing more than Mattel themselves. This is now stuck in the "what if" sections of the collecting community. I could tell you I've lost a lot of interest in collecting in general and this thing brought a new light.

Won't be needing any of the rest of the crowd funds from here.

I know MC is fairly new and their team isn't yet proven, but all you need to do is look at a toy aisle. Barbie gets an entire aisle. Hot Wheels gets half an aisle. WWE gets like ... a tiny smashed in area next to He-Man and Star Wars.

Majority of those ppl are probably the ones who would back a raw entrance immediately even if it was $600. They’re just not a wcw fan and wanted it to fail, so they looked for every excuse to have a reason not to back it. I’m neutral, I’d back wcw; raw, pretty much anything before the RA era. All this crowd funding stuff has gotten to is getting people’s hopes up and failing.

Honestly we don't deserve anymore Crowdfunding. I'm pretty sure the first time both Bill and Steve made it clear if the New Generation crowdfunding failed there wasn't going to be another one. And with this and everyone's opinions. I think the dreams of Raw is War Stage, Smackdown Fist, Hell in the Cell, none of that will happen because of this. Both Bill and Steve did any amazing job though and they both deserve more credit for their hard work to please us which seems sometimes impossible.

While I get the jokes and having fun, I don't get why some people have that Eeyore spirit. Like why rain on someone else's parade because you have nothing better to do with your life? You don't want it?You think it sucks? Cool, make your comment and move along, but to come on here and other platforms every single day repeating the same nonsense? Come on... I for one, don't care for the Golden Era or New Gen, but I backed the arena to help out with future crowdfund and to also later resell. However, I wanted those people who enjoyed that era to be happy and supported them. I know what's like to have something meaningful and nostalgic bring happiness, even if it's for a short period of time.

If there’s going to be another crowdfunding project, realistically, they’re going to have to scale it way back. Hit a price point closer to the $250 of the New Gen arena. Aside from certain promo segments like the Barber Shop or Piper’s Pit, I can’t think of what they could do that isn’t already accomplished by the Wreckin vehicles.
I’ve been wondering if maybe pivoting to the old Matty Collector subscription model would be something people would rather just do. You pay the $200 or whatever up front with the knowledge of a couple of Ultimates with the rest being revealed throughout the year. This could be a way to get more characters like Doink that wouldn’t do well at retail into collector’s hands.
Yes, that does mean it would be a bit of a gamble that you’d be spending money on figures you might not want; but then you could just flip the ones you don’t want to offset the cost.

It was too expensive. I dont need a real scale entrance with all the lights.
Make something smaller, and with one obscure and one main eventer for 300$.

If everybody here thought like that, we would get every crowd funding project funded. Which I’m the same, I don’t watch wrestling and haven’t since like 2007 other than hearing it or seeing parts of it while my son watches it. But if they did anything modern era, RA era, Punjabi prison etc I would back the hell out of it, but because I want it because I wouldn’t, but just to help out then I’d just resell it . And what’s funny, is the same people complaining about the size and price are the same ones talking about they want them to do the raw entrance, elimination chamber lol like it’s going to be smaller and cheaper. Those people here are just whack

Not a lot imo
There’s not a whole lot to do anyway, the majority of the wwe world is the ring. There’s backstage and that’s really about it
Smaller interview type sets we’ve seen done packed in with figures
They said they rent crowdfund just figured which is what most are interested in
Compared to other fandoms there’s not a whole world to build.

Ok, why not back it for the people who wanted it? Then just resell it I would have if I thought I could. The stage is the bulk of the cost. The Rey was too boring for anyone to spend the amount needed to offset the cost. Steiner would have probably sold for over $100, but most people would have kept him. DDP, Warrior & Hogan were never going to happen.
