Ohh, and if you can find me 3 world class players for £10m a pop I'll suck you off every day for the rest of the year. I assume you mean £30m, as that's what I said? Give or take a couple of million, Aguero, van Persie and Fabregas all transferred for about £30m or less in the past couple of years.

Regardless, we will never, even if the Bale deal went through for £100m up front, have £90m (on top of the £50m we've already spent this window) to spend on players. It just wont happen. Levy and Joe Lewis do not work like that. That is how teams go in to administration.

I'd probably take anywhere in the region of £60m-£70m if they were willing to pay up front. The fact is as interested as they might seem in Bale, they need to either put up or shut up. As £17m up front for this year is quite frankly an insulting offer.

Honestly don't think that's a bad name for Hull, could of been a whole lot worse... (sports direct arena for example) Most people will just refer them as 'Hull' anyway.

So gutted the Community Shield is on ITV. Was buzzing for Sky to return although Carragher will be annoying as probably

I love Carragher as a pundit

Sky is going to be painful to watch with him being a pundit. I did say the same thing about Gary Neville though and he's up there with one of the best pundits ever imo, also doesn't have an irritating accent either.

Solid win. Most interesting thing was that Valencia has returned to #25, wonder who will be #7. If Wayne goes #7, #9 and #10 will all be empty, which is pretty odd for a top club.

Can't go wrong with a bit of Louis Saha!
Looking forward to seeing Tom Huddlestone in a Hull top this season, Livermore will be a great addition too if that one goes through.
Bring on Chelsea and Jose!

Huddlestone is one of the best passers of the ball I've ever seen. Great signing for you. If he had Jenas's frame, he'd have been an England regular.
Livermore needs a year on loan, like Rose has done. Got good potential and worse comes to worse we can sell him for £7 million next year.
