Just like America is the 5th grade bully that picks on the 1st graders at the playground and that's perfectly fine. Until a bigger 4th grader, who can take on the 5th grader, starts picking on the 5th grader... then he cries that he's being bullied. Except that fifth grade bully America did nothing to little first grade North Korea. There's a reason America doesn't wanna piss off Un and North Korea. American doesn't wanna go to war with them.

I thought we were talking about a movie? America didn't make the movie. America really doesn't have anything to do with the movie being made or not. And anyway, America would suffer a few losses, but we'd wipe North Korea under our boot in less than 3 months should we go to war with them. Everybody knows that, it's just that we don't want to. America doesn't want to go to war, but it's not because they're scared that North Korea is a threat.

You keep believing that the United States isn't afraid of going to war with certain countries (North Korea being one of them). Whatever helps you sleep at night.

The movie was a stupid idea to begin with. If another country made a movie about how awesome 9/11 was, I'm sure in America that there would be outrage. And really, North Korea should be treated as heroes for preventing another piece of crap James Franco movie to come out. I think as a showing of good will and apology that America should send James Franco to North Korea to be executed. I don't like a guy or his movies so I think we should send him to be executed. Logic! I'll never understand people who say stuff like "Good, let's stop all movies featuring so and so from being released!" Who in the hell is forcing you at gun point to go watch them? Rogen and Franco have a huge fan base, myself included, and it's a damn bummer this happened.

I'm not joking.

They just don't want to go to war due to the fact we've been at war for over ten years now. America would wipe the floor with North Korea. What's too be afraid of?

I don't care if this is the worst movie of all time, there's absolutely no reason why it shouldn't get released. How are you not outraged by the fact that we are allowing another country dictate and bully us like this? Who gives a crap about whether the movie is good or bad, it's the ing principle. I know that I'm certainly pissed at the fact that people are okay with us being bullied into giving up our freedom of speech simply because they think this movie looks stupid. You people need to look at the bigger picture. Don't like the movie? Don't watch it, but also don't sit there and act like this is acceptable just because you think the movie looks stupid.

Because I have a different opinion than yours? Hahahaha! No. Because I don't believe you read the script.. Except that fifth grade bully America did nothing to little first grade North Korea. There's a reason America doesn't wanna piss off Un and North Korea. American doesn't wanna go to war with them. There would be no war.. It would be us steamrolling North Korea.. The bigger conflict would be what to do with it after we're done. The hell do you think North Korea is anyways? Jeez..

A few thoughts
1) North Korea takes their movies seriously. Quick history lesson, Kim Jong Il went around kidnapping Chinese actors, actresses and directors and basically enslaved them into jump starting an NK film industry
2) This sets a very bad precedent. Sony basically gave in to terrorist demands. I understand their point of view completely as they would be screwed if something actually happened at a screening. However, the chance of NK doing anything? As per the Feds, they states these threats have no validity
3) on the flip side, NK or China makes a comedy about doing the same thing to Obama, Americans would fly into a fit of rage. It is our superiority double standard.
4) Those bashing the script or the actors.... It's sad people so casually dismiss their and others civil liberties for petty things like Seth Rogen sucks!!!!!

But let's say this film DID exist.. America would probably ignore it completely. It might make headlines for a day or two, and it would go away.. That is a realistic outcome to what would happen. There is not a slim chance that a film from a foreign market about slaughtering Americans, Presidents, or historical events would cause any type of outrage or uproar, I don't know what world you people live in.. WE MAKE THOSE MOVIES OURSELVES.. We have killed Presidents, we have slaughtered Americans, we have made movies depicting historical events based on life altering tragedies. When it comes to the United States and it's movies.. Our movies are the only movies that matter. Unless you're a giant film buff, there is no other place in this world that makes movies other than Hollywood, CA.. As a matter of fact, our movies are so good that it's one of our most popular exports.. Transformers 4 made most of it's money in Asia.. CAPTAIN AMERICA.. Made a TON of money overseas.. That should tell you everything you need to know about how the world views our film industry.

Fair enough, no Seth Rogen movie should ever be released. Agreed

Yeah, I'm sure the rest of the world doesn't give a crap about huge franchises like James Bond or Harry Potter, or Oscar winning films like The King's Speech just because they weren't made in Hollywood.

The majority does come from America, with all other countries lagging behind but to say because they didn't come from America they're not important is asinine. Even outside the US and the UK, you still have movies like The Artist, Blue is the Warmest Colour, any Bruce Lee film, the list goes on and on.
