Smyths is THE go to place over here. Guaranteed to get any figure on the stated release date. Loads of every figure from every wave on the pegs. It's a throwback to the early 90s to see all the wrestling stuff like that. While I live near 2 Smyths I'll never order a standard release online.

The irony is for years on these boards all you read about is how impossible it is for the UK collectors to get anything because shipping prices are so high. Well if your stores look like that why do you feel the need to buy internationally? I would just go to my local Smyths or TRU.

Because we don't have target so until very recently couldn't get Hall of Fame, still can't get 4 packs. We don't have Walmart so can't get THE then, now, forever, Ringside is in the Us so it's expensive to order those. Other than that, it's perfect here

Not at all. Us collector are going to continue to Ride with Mattel until the contract falls off.

My local Smyths in Bromborough, Wirral, is always extremely well stocked, just like the picture posted in this thread. However, the stock rotates quite a lot, with more popular figures selling quickly. There are still shelf warmers, though, like Sid and Umaga. In general, they seem to sell well. For the first 5 years those flashbacks never would have hung around at all. But the Legends wouldn't sell so they canceled the line.

The Jakks Classic Superstars lasted for 28 series so kids obviously bought them otherwise it wouldn't have made it that far. The Legends failed because the line was created too soon after Jakks. People who had collected the CS series didn't want to start all over again and the odd attire choices didn't help matters either.

When UK collectors complain about international shipping its more so to do with buying exclusives from RSC. I buy all my elites at retail.

I thinks it's a combination of things. 1. WWE is less popular. Just look at the ratings. 2. Prices are always going up for the same thing. A lot of people could get turned off by the price point. 3. Online retailers hurt a lot of stores. Just look at any figure line. If any line can even get in stores the amount of space is decreasing and the product generally takes a long time to move. Just this past weekend I saw that Marvel Legends is down to just one of those mid aisle fixtures and Star Wars is down to an end cap. NECA has completely disappeared. WWE had maybe a third of an aisle. 4) Stores are giving the shelf space that used to belong to Marvel Legends, Star Wars, NECA and Mattel WWE to Jakks UFC

In my local area I have 2 toy shops Smyths and Toys R Us. Toys R Us arent worth talking about because they barely carry WWE stuff anymore The TRU stores I go to are usually pretty good... this was my local one (Stoke-on-Trent) at the weekend - they also had loads of Basic 64, 65, 66:

1.I seen trus pics with sh** tons of of new figs I haven't seen nothing new my tru section is a endshelf 2.shelfwarmers(no need to say who we all know) 3.There's not many popular guys/women to be bought 4.it will soon rise again soon with all the new first time elites and newbies in the line 5.It's a repeat of the first twoish year of Mattel's first wwe figures with most of their lines either discounted or end up at big lots(did, legends, entrance greats etc. 6.There's too many figures of one superstar(mainly basics) 7.Not many flashbacks to be like "damn that's bada** I'm going to pick this up as a childhood memory" I was like this with the 1st dm warrior 8.It's too kidish right now wrestling buddies, cas, talking buddies, those 6-24 inch figures, and those weird talking ones(rock, rollins, cena) 9.online is easier and faster than waiting til it comes out 10.Not everybody wants to be known as "that toy collector guy"(no offense) 11.Patience

Now that I have pretty much a solid collection I only go for newer characters. I'm pretty picky about what I get now ready to get American Alpha Styles Asuka for sure when they're out. Maybe the new Finn but we'll see I hate having doubles but that might be an exception.

They sell pretty well where I'm at. Went to TRU one day and thought about buying Lita. Seemed like they had a full case, went back 3 days later everything on the shelves was nearly gone.

Figures are less popular but stars are also overly popular. Balor, Owens, Zayn etc are stars that sell and the problem is the series also gets lumbered with legends that younger kids probably haven't heard of so shops aren't going to buy a whole assortment for 1 figure. Well KO is one of the biggest warmers in my local Smyths and it's his best figure IMO. I also don't think that the Legends are the problem. During the Jakks days we had the CS series which lasted for 28 series and consisted of guys who were less known to kids then a lot of Mattel's Legends. So basically the CS series was a success for Jakks so surely kids bought them so why not Mattel's flashbacks? Figures were also cheaper but I wouldn't pay close to £20 for a figure of someone I don't know

When they ate shipped from China, is B0ll0x I agree and not everywhere has a Smyths. We never got the Steel Cage, HOF packs. Once figures go from Smyths and TRU we have nowhere else which means we have to pay top scalper price.
