More flashbacks less jobbers.

I want elites of anyone who hasnt been made yet.
Jobbers, legends, stars, gimmick guys, celebs, managers, announcers and so on. Gotta catch em all!
That being said I'm good on Warriors for a long while and most likely Macho Man as well.
But there's a few more Flairs and Michael's I want still so hopefully those fladhbacks happen.

Perhaps flashbacks sell better?

We still don't have Haku, Mr. Fuji, Greg the Hammer Valentine. They were pretty big in the late 80's early 90's.

Ok let me just clear something up since people keep bringing up the titus elite I mentioned. I was using that as a example of guys who haven't had a elite made at or haven't had one in a while like Bray, of the reason why were not seeing them. Would I buy a Titus Elite: Yes, am I in dispirit need of one: NO ( I can wait. What I was trying to point out is that Mattel has to keep making the Cena's, Roman's, and New Days. Because they are top sellers with the kids who are the biggest consumers of action figures, not adult collectors. So there for if they don't make these over and over, sales will go down and most likely Mattel's budget for future figures will go down. What people have to realize is Mattel doesn't make only WWE figures, they have multiple toy brands to produce. So when large companies like that go to divide the budgets up among brands, the brands that make money get money and those that don't make money get budget cuts. I love the flashbacks, I have brought more flashbacks this past year than current guys. And I have a list of flashbacks that I would love to see. I just wish somehow there was a better balance for everyone to get what they want the guys who want more currents can get currents, those who want more flashbacks could get flashbacks, and the kids could get what ever they want at the time, and everyone would be happy and stop complaining.

I think Mattel has a winning formula. Having 2-3 Flashbacks per series doesn't burn through the available characters too fast, while also allowing for a mix of current guys to be produced without completely over saturating the market. Mattel is in this to turn a profit.
While there are some folks who would love a Titus, Darren Young, or Tony Nese figure, Mattel is going to make more money using that spot on a flashback or another Cena figure. That's just the nature of the business. I think Bill is doing a great job balancing NXT, the current roster, and flashbacks to appeal to all types of collectors. And in doing so, he has been able to sprinkle in some more obscure wrestlers to appeal to collectors. There's always room for improvement, but right now I think they are striking a great balance.

I like flashbacks more.
They could have their own line of 3-4 guys to accompany each elite set

I agree, to me this last year since last summer sdcc has been awesome as far as elites. and variety And I have even collected a few basics. Before I only brought basics in BPs and female wrestlers.

I am mixed on this one. I understand where you are coming from though.
Fans of modern WWE want elite figures of the wrestlers from the current product. That is a totally credible opinion. Those fans tend to be on the younger side whom either can't afford or their parents can't afford to drop $20 per figure.
This is where the old farts come into play because they CAN afford to drop $20 per figure and creating superstars from the past gives them even more incentive to drop $20 per figure which is why you see more and more flashbacks.
I only buy about 7-8 figures per year and they are surprisingly all current guys. If I were to buy flashbacks they'd be from the 2002-2006 range because WWE is always the best the first few years you start watching it.

I feel this all the time(but opposite), like we're getting great stuff, but we could be getting even more(now that Mattel WWE is number 1), like we only have 2 Razor Ramons? 1 Diesel? 2 Faces of Foley? Only a few Flairs? No refs? (Then again, we got Ringmaster, Shockmaster, Boogeyman, Tugboat, Harlem Heat, and Magnum TA, so they're definitely taking risks in the nostalgia market, and it seems to work, usually.). If it expanded, I think it would be a great outlet for repaints with minor tweaks, like Bam Bam in blue, gray, purple/orange, all the different surefire sellers like Stings, HBKs, etc., and the WWE line could afford to put out 3 Balors/AJs/Seths in a case and 5 riskier "randies".
If you were to put together all the different exclusives and mainlines though, we basically have separate NXT, WWE, and Flashback lines running simultaneously right now, but I think every group suffers a little because of it, but at least Mattel isn't getting burned and is continually trying more things, like SDCC Shockmaster, Elite Scale Ring, and the New Day boxed sets. I kind of wish they weren't redoing the ESR, because I liked what WCT produced, but it's a new take on it, so that's interesting at least.
I don't really know what I'm trying to say here(besides I want it to be SDCC time right now), but I'm definitely gonna keep on collecting everything, Mattel could possibly be making more money by expanding and catering to each group, but I think they have enough of a track record to back up their decisions, unless Dave Vonner's a madman and he's gonna "make it rain" at SDCC and revive the Legends line, and put out a classic ESR, and the end, he pulls out a Hollywood Hogan from under the table and says "He's coming! In the first Legends series!" and everyone stands up and just starts screaming, and throwing dollar bills at the panel, and Dave turns to Bill and says "IT'S WORKING! IT's WOOOOORKING!!!"./fanfic

If anything, I think we aren't getting ENOUGH flashbacks. And 53 is rumored to have none (but it does have that absolute bore T.J. Perkins). I'm actually worried we're about to start seeing lesser and lesser FBs

I know that there are number of members on this board that enjoy flashbacks in every elite series and I respect that. But I think it has got to the point now where it is taking too much room in every series. I might be in the minority but I feel like the regular elite line should cater to the current roster and sprinkle in flashbacks 1 to 2 in every other series. Also, if you're going to make a flashback it should be of important memorable superstars. It's weird that Mattel would waste part of their budget on the Nasty Boys, Warlord, or Berzerker, but current guys like Titus O'Neal and Cruiserweights can't get an elite in the line... Open for discussion guys. The thing is: It's 25 years later and people still remember the Nasty Boys, Warlord and Berzerker. They were a memorable part of a memorable product. Nobody gives two craps about Titus O'Neil now, let alone in 25 years time. I'd wager even Titus O'Neil would rather have a Berzerker figure on his shelf than one of his self.
