Terribly sad news if true. With Anvil's passing, Bret Hart is the last member of the Hart Foundation left living. That's such a tragic story for a stable as prominent as recently as 1997.

Just seeing this confirmed. This floored me. I just met Bret this weekend and was really hoping to meet Jim soon.

If this is true, I feel so much for Nattie and the rest of the Hart family. Bret is the only one left standing from the Hart Foundation faction and the lone Hart. Such a sad thing. I PRAY it's a hoax.

Haven't seen Nattie or any other Hart member confirm this so hoping Blair just has the wrong information.

I have a friend who is friends with Brian Blair and Harry Smith contacted him and informed Brian that Neidhart had a seizure and fell and hit his head and bled to death. If true, so very sad.

I hope upon hope that the information is inaccurate, but I do understand Blair to be fairly well connected in terms of his standings with the old timers. Last I recall, he was the President or some high ranking member of the Cauliflower Alley Club.

Haven't seen Nattie or any other Hart member confirm this so hoping Blair just has the wrong information. Unfortunately they may not be mentioning it right now, because they are grieving and Twitter or social media might be the LAST thing on their minds. However I am still hoping beyond hope this isn't the case and Jim is healthy and hearty. All my childhood heroes are going...and too young.

This is worth repeating - if true, this news appears to be brand, brand new. The last thing on the minds of Nattie, Bret, TJ, etc. may well be the furthest thing from their present concerns. This place got vile waiting for WWE to mention Brian Christopher's passing when that was still new and in question. Best not to repeat old habits.

Yea, many accounts are posting this now on twitter. This one hurts, I loved The Hart Foundation, and lived Jim during his singles in WCW. Such an intense character. RIP Big Rhino, your music just hit in the Royal rumble in the sky, give em hell.

Good God, that's horrible news to start off the week. Can't imagine what the family is going through. I feel for Bret; another close family member gone way too soon.

In no way do I mean to try and disrespect the Hart family if this has happened with "HEY GET ON TWITTER", I just thought it would be best to wait for news from someone in the family.

Totally get that. I tried to mend my verbiage so as to indicate that this is "being reported" and what have you. All worth noting. As an aside, this kinda hurt. (Linked for size)

It's times like this (all these deaths these past few months) that I question my love for this business. So many of these guys or gals gave all they had and so much more just to entertain us and they suffer physically for it.

The Anvil was truly unique during his major runs with WWF. An all around entertaining and over the top character. From an in ring standpoint , his complimenting power house style accentuated Brets technical prowess. And make no mistake , during the original Hart Foundation tag team days, Jim's charisma was a major factor in how over They were in both their heel and baby face runs. RIP Jim....you will be missed. And my condolences to Natalya and the entire family.
