I'm a huge Patriots fan and Gronk fan but i don't want to see him do matches.

I hate seeing professional athletes get signed to WWE without having to bust their ass in wrestling for years. If everyone else has to, they should as well. The average person who wants to be a professional wrestler has to start at the lowest of the low. NFL players and UFC fighters shouldn't get a fast pass to the big time. If a wrestler with little experience does get signed to a WWE contract, they are in the performance center for months or years. They wrestle on the undercard at NXT house shows. They pray to god they get to be on NXT TV. Then a couple of years later they get on the main roster. LOLOL Does this "logic" also extend to other fields of entertainment - is The Rock allowed to keep his fast pass to big Hollywood movies, or does he have to go pay his dues in student films before you'll accept him as an actor? No because acting is a big enough part of wrestling to wear it makes sense for a wrestler to be a Hollywood actor. Wrestling is unlike any sport, and as a wrestling trainee I'm pissed off because he should have to go through the same process as everyone else does. To his credit he's a big athletic guy who was a great football player and a household name, but he should at least be in the pc for a few months. Then be on main roster house shows for a couple of months. I'm not saying he should be on indie shows for 10 years.

As a wrestling trainee, you maybe shouldn’t be telling one of SmackDown’s most popular superstars he doesn’t belong in the locker room. You could be killing your career before it starts.

You sign Gronk, destroy all potential in the women's division with Shayna and bury Ricochet...what are you doing WWE!?

Not something I ever really wanted to see. But I'll wait to see where he fits in before I get too worked up here. If he's defeating Bray or Roman in six weeks, by all means complain all day. If he busts his ass and works his way up, so be it.

This is gonna be interesting. Hopefully they don’t shoehorn him into the main event right away and let him get some good training in first.

I just need a gronk spike chokeslam to a superman pin (Cabana style), and it'll all be worth it. Plus can you imagine the funny promos...as Art Mann says "he is tv gold!"

He's obviously going to either report to the PC or work one on one with a trainer before he ever has a match. Gronk made his bones on the football field and, in doing so, put exponentially more value on his name than some rando, pissed off wrestling trainee. As a wrestling trainee, you maybe shouldn’t be telling one of SmackDown’s most popular superstars he doesn’t belong in the locker room. You could be killing your career before it starts. I'm not saying that By saying "he should have to go through the same process as everyone else", you kinda are.

Would WWE have really let that exposure pass then by? Same with UFC letting cm punk fight. Crossover fans means new means of income for the company.

I don’t like this at all and it’s not because I hate the patriots. If they signed a jets player I wouldn’t like it either.

I only know him from smashing Steve Harvey's Lego sculpture.
I'm guessing he's the WWE's version of Mike Davis circa GWF?

I think Rock DID pay some dues Those weren’t movies paying actors a hotdog-and-a-handshake. They were multimillion dollar Hollywood productions. He was very, very well paid for them. Those movies are a million miles away from being equivalent to working the indies in wrestling.

If they use him like they did in his Family Guy guest spot it will be awesome.'One of them is my Dad, I'm not sure which one.' 😄
