This pic (below) of Otis is honestly unbelievable - especially the seam "connecting" his upper and lower torso. It looks like a horrible custom job. And all of the pins, seams, and visible joints along his arms/legs just kill my ability to suspend disbelief. Sure, maybe these seams enable more articulation and posing, but at what cost? Destroying the entire visual of the figure? Maybe Jakks figures did not have as much articulation, but at least they did not look like wooden toys cobbled together by two elves working the graveyard shift. I see other figures from Hasbro that have fine articulation and do not look butchered. This crap started with the elite/deluxe ab cruch, which I still hate, and has only gotten worse since. There must be a decent middle ground that offers acceptable poseability with minimal disruption to the appearance of the figure. /rant

What do u expect for a toy that retails between $15.97-$19.99? I think Otis looks fine.

I agree, Mattel is years behind Hasbro in the mold department.

Remember back in February when I got a bunch of crap over not liking Otis' molded knee pads? I still believe that molded knee pads (Owens, Cena, and Joe excluded) look bad. I don't really like the Ultimate torsos and that's what Otis basically has. But did this dude really complain about the pins in the joints? What a ing idiot. Edit: Dude also complained about ab crunches, shut the up.

No-one is forcing you to buy them.

I too like living in 2000 with my nightmarish TTL “scans” and figures unable to do a basic powerbomb or pedigree

"but at least they did not look like wooden toys cobbled together by two elves working the graveyard shift." I thought this part was funny. I agree that ab crunch is a little overrated.

Sucks that you were forced to buy it. Otis is one of my favorite figures of the year. I've never given the torso joint a second thought. But nah, at least Jakks never cobbled anything together: Credit to Chicago for the pic/find.

You should've shown the back where you can see that they are Bradshaw/ blackjacks chaps. And not jeans at all.... Talk about spreadsheets

Outstanding figure. One of the best of the year, top to bottom. Seeing this post make me want to buy another one!

I love the normal Elite figures with the an crunch. But honestly I thought the same thing as OP. Otis is an odd looking figure to me

It really is a great figure. The torso joint isn't even as distracting or noticeable as it is in this single picture (imagine judging a figure from a single image?) Even if it were, you could alleviate most of the problem using the entrance vest.
