After watching the doc, man this Cody story is so good, redemption, climbing the ladder. The more it goes on the more I see Roman winning the first one was the right call.
Mania 39 the bloodline beats Cody
Roman loses the bloodline one by one
Mania 40 it’s just Cody vs Roman and all he has left if the belt and Cody takes that away from him.
You risk a lot doing a storyline this long but damn, it’s been another great story so far.

I am so sick & tired of the Cody Rhodes & LA Knight bandwagon. The LA Knight bandwagon is old news. Latest narrative is Fed Bad for putting a battle royal with LA Knight on the SummerSlam card instead of more women’s matches. |

I'm a Cody fan but kinda to the point I'd rather see Jey dethrone Roman(aware not very likely) but still pulling for Jey regardless.

I get the feeling after his WWE run is done and he accomplishes everything he wants to accomplish, he will go back to AEW. I’d like to see him finish his career in WWE, but you can tell there’s still something there with him and that “secondary promotion”.

Being as the only thing he should care about is winning the top title that was denied his father, Cody's checklist should be unfulfilled for a very long time. But who really knows with that guy. |

I love AEW but they don’t need him. I feel like his time has come to be the top guy and it’s in the WWE. |

The reason the "Cody story" doesn't work is because his dad is NWA. His dad is JCP. His dad is other territories. His dad is NOT in any way WWF. He was there for a hot minute and was never the top star. His brother was a joke in WWE. Cody was a midcarder in WWE. There is no "doing it for the family" because that makes no sense. Hell, you can argue Dustin was better in JCP/WCW. There is no redemption. There is no ladder. You had little fans in WWE the first time, AEW fans barely cared about you, and now WWE is tring to make you the big deal ... and fans just don't care. All they want to do is chant that one part of your song. THAT'S why you lost to Roman, and that's why you have no business beating him.
