If you're not picky about condition, I have a ton I could pass along. I bought a couple of large lots a few months back to build up my own BCA collection but eventually ended up buying them all MOC to open up because I couldn't stand the paint marks, scuffs, etc. Anybody have some idea where I can get a good sized lot of BCA figures to start off a decent collection? eBay or Classifieds would be your best bet. How many are you looking to buy?

Gotcha. Looks like I have poor timing on this one, lol. Any reason as to why I would suddenly find three fresh figures at my TRU the other day? There's still some out there as it hasn't been that long since they were released. But I don't believe they're shipping anymore. Except there's supposed to be some R2 and Han cases released to a toy website that can't be mentioned here. Gotcha, thanks much. Yeah it was just weird to me because I've been at that TRU every day this week (I live super close, lol) and suddenly three were just on the shelves the other day. It's a shame these are so hard to find, they look fantastic and I really want a set loose and a set to keep MOC.

Hey guys, I'm new to the Star Wars game, branching out a bit with my collections. Bought some Figuarts and am now looking to get the key characters in the black series. Lucked out and found a few of the 40th anniversary figs the other day at my TRU (Leia, Luke, Ben) ... I think I missed the timetable on when these came out. I just found these from Wave 1 of the 40th anniversary the other day ... are more Wave 1 and 2 figures going to hit stores going forward, or is a certain online auction site my best bet? I see they're going for quite a bit and I didn't know if it's an early buyer thing or if that's all I should expect to see at retail. The 40th Anniversary figures are done, if I've heard correctly. Gotcha. Looks like I have poor timing on this one, lol. Any reason as to why I would suddenly find three fresh figures at my TRU the other day?

Apologies if this was posted elsewhere but I hadn't seen anything on here mentioning this. Found three Yankems on the shelves at a TRU in Buffalo this afternoon, was a surprise to me because I thought they'd just be available online through TRU's website. A heads up to anyone still looking for him.

I definitely made some type of canopy or whatever for the ring to recreate the look of Wrestlemania 9. I was too young to realize that WM9 sucked as kid because I absolutely loved it at the time (my first real WM as a fan). Had to go outside for those matches! I also made a wooden casket for the Undertaker in 6th grade technology class, lol, found it the other day when searching my parents' attic for old figures. And like some others I made sure that I had the entrance music on cassette tape to use ... I totally forgot about that part until reading some of these, lol. Good times!

Dude, I just wanna thank you and your helpers for re-uploading everything. I know myself and a lot of other people really appreciate the work. I'll second that! You rule!

Yeah I saw the 6-pack in Buffalo late last week, did a second take because I had totally forgotten about it. Too bad it's so expensive or I'd grab it just for the NWO figures. Also saw all of the "dolls" tonight at a TRU.

They're both two of my favorites but I feel pretty good about the Brets and Bulldogs that we've gotten ... won't say no to more but I'm good for now.

He says stuff like this all the time, I doubt this one will be received any differently than any of the other times. Don't think it's a big deal.

I'm always interested in the various approaches people take to collecting. Just curious how everyone on here sorts out their own methods. How many must have absolutely everything (all elites in the main elite line, etc.), how many just do a certain aspect of the line, how many buy just a few, and so on. I've posted a couple times about collection strategies because I find the various approaches fascinating. (Do we have any "completists"?)
Lately I've been going for the 1-2 definitive attires per character approach, but I really have to fight the urge to try to have a complete set of elites (from the main series, not including all the various sub series) ... I like to be a completist in general when it comes to figure lines but with Mattel there's SO MANY. Although if I hadn't sold off some modern elites from time to time I'd be pretty close to a full elite series set loose by now, which sometimes I want to get back to doing ... and other times I think it's way too much, lol.
I do have a complete set of Legends both MOC and loose (in addition to all elite flashbacks loose). Those are my favorites, but I do generally love what Mattel has done with the modern figs as well.

Is any kind soul able to rescue extremely useful threads such as this since photobucket's implosion? It is a shame to see such a great resource go to waste. I'll second this one. I've been trying to go through some of these threads (Toybix, OSFTM, and so on) and it's so frustrating to not see any photos any more ...

Wow, congrats. I still remember as a kid just leafing through giant bins of Hasbros at KB Toys looking for a Moon Kamala (even though now I no there was absolutely no chance of that happening, lol). Still the 3/$10 deals were amazing when all of those European carded ones came in!

So I finally picked these up. Working out of town for part of this month and I was shocked to see Austin and Rock at the local TRU (along with a Summerslam Balor that I needed a double of to open up, so that worked out). Couldn't pass them up once I actually had them in my hands.
My initial thoughts are that I have mixed feelings. Originally I didn't plan on buying these because something about the shape/torso/ab crunch bothers me. But I'm a huge fan of some other Figuarts lines (Mario, TMNT, and I'm thinking about getting into the Star Wars line) ... I really love their work and it seemed crazy as a wrestling guy to not at least pick these up. The head sculpts are great, and the multiple options are awesome. But I still can't get over the weird looking torso/ab crunch thing. To me these look almost like works in progress and if they could figure out the ab crunch thing to make these bodies look a little less weird I think they'd be spectacular. (Also the arms could definitely be bigger.) Right now on my desk here I've got them next to the Summerslam Balor and I've got to say the Balor blows them away at greater than half the price.
I hope they keep making WWE figures but I really hope they fix the body problem.

They do a great job all things considered. When I see some of the complaints on here it makes me laugh a bit. I think we forget that this is a MASS-PRODUCED line by one of the largest toy companies in the world. This isn't a niche line of collectibles geared toward just us collectors. They have a delicate line to balance. Do I wish that they were higher-end like some recent outputs from Storm and Figuarts? (Ironically not those lines' wrestling figures, but I love some of their other work.) You bet. I'd be happy to spend more on a better all-around figure. I hope we get a truly special top-end line with $50 wrestling figures someday. But for keeping costs as they are we still get a very good bang for your buck as far as the elites are concerned. I get that we want perfect figures but when I see little tiny complaints about molded belts and fringe I think it's time to take a step back and look at the big picture.
Sometimes I think this board does more harm than good when it comes to minor issues. If I hadn't been on the board during SDCC, I wouldn't have realized that Alexa's body on her elite has a flaw without reading it on here first. I had never heard of the belt thing mentioned above but now I know of another "flaw." Same thing with comments on RSC instagram posts, it's like we have to avoid all of these traps because somebody will always find something that otherwise I'd never ever notice.

I finally got my hands on a Cass today, definitely had trouble finding these two. Of course a woman grabbed Enzo like a minute before I got to TRU today, she struck up a conversation with me and had the figure in her hand, lol. Wasn't going to try and plead (it was for her kid at home) but I wish I got there just a few minutes earlier!

Did this thread officially die? Seems stuff is popping up in any again finally I was gonna post last week but it seems like nobody reads this anymore, lol. As of last week Andre exclusives had hit TRU in Amherst.

Yeah be careful about sunlight. I'm annoyed because I have awesome Mattel autos of Jake, DDP and Steamboat using paint pen but it turns out the sun from a nearby window got them to fade into lighter colors pretty quickly. Still look fine but I preferred them the original way. Live and learn.
