The better fighters won. I told you not to count any of them out. I told you.... Listen, its not that they won, its HOW they won. You can't tell me for 1 second that you saw Frank Mir KO'ing Nogueira coming. I thought that if Rashad won, it would be by really close decision. As for Page, I'll graciously eat my words. To flat line Wanderlei Silva like that with 1 punch was shocking. Wandy is known to take punishment and keep coming, so to see Page KO him with one shot was just unreal. I still hate the guy though. Rampage vs. Rashad for the LHW Belt. Wow, will not order that show and never saw that coming.

I'd like tor see Wandy Vs Griffin if at all possible sense theyre both coming off losses. That'd be interesting considering they train together.

Kongo/Nog would be an interesting fight, but where would Randy fit in the picture? I thought that since they both lost, Nog would next fight Randy, and the winner of that would fight the winner of Mir/Lesnar II. But with Kongo tonight, maybe a rematch with Heath Herring? Who knows.

Rampage vs. Rashad for the LHW Belt. Wow, will not order that show and never saw that coming. I was sceptical of the reports in the first place, but I don't think Dana would even think of making any fourth fight, between anybody. He has stated several times that its 3 and out, that determines the man. I would really prefer to see Chuck move up to heavyweight, only after he fights Shogun Rua, however. I think Chuck is the guy that can hit Rua's off switch and put him down. After that, I'd like to see Chuck move to heavyweight and fight the guys up there. It might just be me, but I think Chuck could handle Mir and knock him out in the first round. Based on his recent performaces, I think he could knock Big Nog out, too. I know it sounds outlandish, but if you're a true fan, you know that this guy we've seen isn't the Nogueira we saw in PRIDE, taking fool's arms home as trophies. He was dropped by Heath Herring and Tim Sylvia, and I believe Chuck packs more of a punch than both of them. I'd love to see Liddell/Gonzaga, and I'm confident Chuck could win that, too. And if my ideas panned out, those three wins alone would easily earn Chuck a shot at Lesnar for the title, in a super fight I'd die to see. Chuck KO'ing Nog? Nog might be losing a step or two but to insinuate that somehow when he was in Pride he was unhittable is a stretch. Sapp manhandled him and nearly piledrived him through the mat. Fedor blasted Nog over and over and over in their first fight...that one punch he landed in the corner had to be one of the hardest GnP punches I've ever seen and it just ricocheted off of Nog's chin. Cro Cop dropped Nog. Barnett dropped Nog. Nog has always taken a fair amount of abuse in his fights, especially from competent strikers, and I can guarantee that a prime Cro Cop hits harder than tail-end-of-his-career Liddell. Not to mention, if we're going to throw in 'recent' Nog performances, he got dropped by Tim Sylvia, a 265 pound heavyweight striker, by a flush punch on the chin thrown full force...and he went on to win the fight by sub. And now CHUCK's going to be the one to turn out Nog's lights? I don't think so. Some guys are just genetically well-suited to taking a hard shot and getting through it. Nog is one of those guys. I think he could knock Big Nog out, too. I know it sounds outlandish, but if you're a true fan, you know that this guy we've seen isn't the Nogueira we saw in PRIDE, taking fool's arms home as trophies. He was dropped by Heath Herring and Tim Sylvia, and I believe Chuck packs more of a punch than both of them.I never said Nog was untouchable. I said he was taking people's limbs home at his leisure. I am well aware of Nog's chin. What I'm saying is that the man I watched fight Heath Herring (the third fight at UFC 73) isn't the man I saw in PRIDE. He was slow, sluggish, and had absolutely no snap on his punches at all. They're using a lazy, hands down flying knee he attempted from that fight as a highlight in the UFC 92 trailer. I guarentee Nog would be stopped if he flew at Chuck like that, hands down. Not to say that Minitauro would be using the same game plan on Liddell as he did on Herring, but I digress. All I'm saying is a fight between PRIDE's 2005-2006 Minitaruo and the Chuck Liddell of today would not be the contest it is today. I think Chuck beats Nogueira if they are matched up today, by a TKO. I can totally buy into the fact that we may never, ever see Big Nog unconcious. But if he is eating leather from the Ice Man after being dropped with a looping right hook, they'll need to stop it in order to save his life.(^^^that was part of the quote, didn't pick it up) I saw it coming. That said, Rampage impressed me tonight. Frank Mir did more than impress me. Absolutely wonderful fight and night for Frank, hats off and take a bow to you, man.

haha
where is Mr. Old School?
I got 3-4 not bad. I never saw Mir TKO'ing Nog. But it just proves that he is back to old form. I will eat my words on that one...but I just hope that everyone who said that RAMPAGE WOULD GET DESTROYED WILL EAT THEIR WORDS AL WELL...

I really wish I wouldn't have changed my Rampage/Wanderlei pick...but overall, I am happy.
I came in 4 out of 23,000+ in the UFC fantasy predictions.

Conviction: Nog getting TKO'ed was eventual one day, but to Frank Mir? A submission specialist? That's the most shocking part to me anyway.
But congrats to Mir. He is right back on form. He made history by stopping a guy who's never been stopped before.
