The Democrats have won the New Orleans congressional seat from a Republican who won it in 2008.
Mark Kirk wins Barack Obama's Senate seat.

What is everyone watching from their home state?
We don't have any Senate seats up this year (Maine), but we've got an incredibly heated race for Governor. The Democrat (Libby Mitchell) conceded about two hours ago and it's now down to the independent (Eliot Cutler) and the Republican (Paul LePage). They're neck and neck right now, but it's looking like LePage is going to pull out the win, unfortunately.

BARBARA BOXER WINS!!!! FTW! BOXEEEEERRRRRRRRRRRRRRR!!!!!!!!!!!! [/Stephen Colbert] I voted for Fiorina, lol. But its looking like Browns gonna get the Governors spot, which I more than approve of. Prop 19 is looking like a No, which I dont know how to feel about. Prop 20, which extends the Citizens Redistricting Commission, is ahead by like 30-40 points, which is awesome. Its looking about half good, half bad for me state wise. Country wise, idk yet.

Man, Maine Governor Race is shaping up to be one of the closest in history here. 60.2% of precincts reporting and LePage and Cutler are within 100 votes of each other.

I'm loving MSNBC now.
They are discussing who the Republicans will nominate in 2012 and Lawrence O'Donnell shits on every candidate saying they will lose. Like how you could go to bed early before the polls closed in 1988 and 1996 and know that Dukakis and Dole were going to lose. O'Donnell is saying the same thing will happen in 2012. No candidate the Republicans nominate will beat Obama. Not Romney, not Palin, not Thune, not Huntsman, no one.
It's hilarious.

3 of the 7 justices on the Iowa Supreme Court that ruled same-sex marriage legal have been removed from the court thanks to the voters of Iowa.
Those 3 were the only ones up for re-election this year.

"Jenny Oropeza died last month, but her political career lives on.
The deceased California Democrat won re-election to the State Senate by a comfortable margin, besting Republican challenger John Stammreich, 57% to 37% (with 90% of precincts reporting)."

If this happened in Chicago, a lot of people would be crying foul. It would make sense in Chicago. If dead people are voting, they ought to be entitled to a representative.
