Wow i really disagree with Mattel removing the display stands/nametags.. it was really a great touch with the mattel figures, it was very unique and was a cool way of displaying figures (If you are a Loose collector like me)Once i get the New Mattels with no stands i will most likely throw away or store the current stands i have. it's sad for me that it will be gone in the current waves of mattels. I wish someone or everyone that love the stands should do a petition or something to try and convince mattel to not cancel them and to bring them back. but if not. I guess us mattel collectors will have to live with the look of the WWE Mattel Figures .tHE ONE.

I can't say i am happy about this. I had all my figures nice and organized on the stands and they look great. Without them idk. I think the Elites will start falling and the Legends will look kind of plain. I am kinda pissed off about this. At least put them with the Elite and Legends. I mean we are paying good money for these. If they say they can't for legends why not change the big ass box they come in?

Ya know, this wouldnt be so bad, if the figures could stand on their own! I have a bunch of figures that just cannot stand without the stand. Mine stand just fine without the stands.

Mine stand just fine without the stands. Mine don't. Yeah mine either. Even with stands some of mine feel like they are gunna fall or look rather.

My Kamala can't even stand WITH the stand. I bet Andre won't stand well either. The stands are a bit of a loss, but they were hardly perfect. It's not like they were McFarlane Sportspicks display bases (which would have been so awesome). We'll make due. Of course, if detail cuts like CM Punk's terrible Over The Limit figure continue, it's gonna be on like neckbone. We already have people vowing to quit collecting. Some people take wrestling figures too seriously, but cost cutting may prove to be the eventual kiss of death.

I'm disappointed but I have no intentions to stop collecting because of this. As long as the figure quality doesn't go down I'm still on board.

Yeah this blows...I have all of mine setup with stands a certain way. Now I will have to re-arrange everything because it would drive my OCD nuts to have some with and others without. However this is no reason to start threatening a collectors boycott.

If they stop putting stands in with the Basics.. That's fine..
If the Elites.. And more importantly the Legends line suffer and no longer have stands.. THAT'S a problem.

For those who claim their figures don't stand on their own....you must have a severe lack of understanding of the basic laws of physics and gravity. Not a single one of my figures has trouble standing on their own...

If I think of it I'll add a picture of my BO2010 Elite HHH, who everyday when I come home is flat on its face or back. There are a few others who I can stand in a certian position and they will stay up but my Triple H always falls, no matter what.

doogle - Im just giving you a hard time (for your unnecessary insult), but my Elite Goldust falls down every day. I don't even stand him up anymore because I don't want the figure to fall and break. And a bunch of my other figures are leaning like crazy. If they didn't have stands they would also be on the floor. The reason Goldust actually falls is because of the heavy coat (and loose ankles)

40+ Elites/Legends on a single shelf say otherwise for me. Not a single one has fallen unless my fumbling fingers drop one while pulling one out. I must have a GREAT luck then...

Maybe this means the basic´s will start coming with a weapon?

I probably don't have enough Mattel figures to judge well, but I've never had an issue with them standing up. These aren't exactly pre-posed Neca figures; they're symmetrical and articulated. Can't see why there'd be any problem. Then again, I do remember several complaints about loose elite ankles so perhaps that could be why some of you are experiencing toppling.

Maybe this means the basic´s will start coming with a weapon? Not likely, considering that the WM figures that came with the chair were $10.99, so we paid an extra DOLLAR for the damn chair. The removal of the stands and name tags is Mattel claiming that they are doing us a favor so that the Basic prices don't go up. If they can't afford to give us a crappy little piece of plastic stand and a tiny little cardboard tag, I doubt that they are going to start producing Basics with any accessories.
