GSP now faces Carlos Condit?!
UGH...come on Dana. I really hope this isn't his ego not allowing us to see a fight that we all really wanted to see.
GSP via whatever he wants in this fight.

Diaz, seriously this guy comes of as a right prick. The way he carries himself, his attitude amongst many other things, give me Chael or Bisping any day, they might be a bit extreme with there attitude but not like this guy, yet they get more heat for it, the more and more I hear about Diaz the more dislike I gain for the guy.

I don't care if you no show a commitment at this point. Dana HONESTLY thought a guy as unreliable as Diaz was going to show up to this? GSP vs Diaz was the best fight we could possibly see in the WW division. I NEVER expect Diaz to keep his word. As long as he shows up for the fight, that's all I needed.

This is so ing bittersweet, it's not even funny. I'm still a Diaz fan, but Dana had to know this was going to happen.

So now Cesar Gracie is saying he can't find Nick. TBH, this immediately made me think of... "He kind've... got high and wandered off."

Dana needs to stop putting his hand on the hot stove and realize it's gonna be hot. Diaz isn't exactly a responsible human being, Dana knows that. Everyone knows that. We as fans lose enough big fights to injury, I certainly don't want to start losing some because someone won't show up and answer questions when anyone semi-familiar with Nick Diaz could have told you he probably wasn't showing anyways. I can just see Dana now... "He'll show...no no...he will." "....shit."

^ As far as I'm concerned, he doesn't deserve the ing chance if he isn't going to play the game like all the other fighters do. It's part of the work when you're in the big leagues, don't like it? Don't do it, simple.

The Caesar Gracie team JUST lost a pivotal member, Jake Shields' father, Jack. Nick may be dealing with this himself.
I feel very sorry for Nick, because this is obviously not a gimmick he plays for people. He's really a damaged guy.

I remember the good old days of MMA when you didn't have to act like a puppet for the media or hype fights. You just had to go in the cage and fight.

Well the good ol days are gone, now they understand how to make money and Diaz knew what he was signing up for. Who says Diaz didn't change his mind on fight day then what would the "business" do. It sucks I spent 650$ at 10 today to see Diaz get whooped and also to see bj fight. I think condit has a good shot if gsp stands with him, but the main thing is what's going to happen with Penn now?

Diaz. Great for Condit. ing pissed this pulls Penn off the card. Condit/Penn was one of my most anticipated fights of the year. .

I'd just like to point out that this is the same Nick Diaz that bitched about the amount he was getting paid, yet won't do the business, hype his fight so he can get these big ass pay days he wants.

I'm not gonna say that Diaz was right with what he did but I bet if it was any other fighter Dana wouldn't have cared so much. But because Diaz made Dana look like a fool which, god forbid, anyone should ever do he has to pay dearly for it. C'mon, not showing up to some dumb media crapisn't a good enough reason for me to ruin 2 of the biggest fights of the year and possibly the biggest welterweight title fight of GSP's career. Dana's ego got the best of him on this one.
Happy for Condit but seriously would rather see Diaz in there.

First we have to make sure Nick is okay. No one seems to point out that NO ONE on the Caesar Gracie team can find him.

Definitely reminds me of the interview where Dana said that Diaz needs to learn to 'play the game'. Very disappointed with this news. Sure, we're getting St-Pierre/Condit, which is a fantastic fight, and should be interesting considering they're teammates. But we're losing the superfight in St-Pierre/Diaz AND Condit/Penn, which I was really looking forward too. It's a shame.

Love all four of these guys(GSP, Diaz, Penn, Condit). So to have them all four booked on the same card, was a dream. This is a true shame. It's like a Fedor/Coture all over again.

I'm assuming BJ/Fitch II is the next likely scenario? Bleh, don't really want to see that.
Unless Diaz is looking to take some time off, I'd LOVE to see Diaz/Penn in the future.

Man we're just on point because that's exactly what I thought too. Make Diaz/Penn a title eliminator match in the near future. It's be a huge waste to just drop Diaz before giving him at least 1 fight in the UFC against top competition. St. Pierre is the dream obviously but I wouldn't complain at all for Penn vs. Diaz.
