do you reckon they'll bring out another saw? At some point yes. Or more likely than not a reboot. Its only a matter of time. I'm glad, they need to give the story closure instead of leaving it where they did

Just got back from seeing the Green Inferno. I liked it, but I'm kinda disappointed that it was an Eli Roth film and it wasn't as gory as I thought it was going to be.

Could have been more creative with it but that's not where they came up short. I'll give Eli props for attempting to resurrect an old horror sub-genre but the dialog, characters and especially the comedy was horrendous. It was also wasn't the least bit suspenseful or scary. I'm not really sure if he new what kind of movie he was making.

Yeah, I waited a long time to see The Green Inferno, and while I did enjoy everything once they got captured, the lead up was horrendous. The dialogue and acting was beyond the point of funny bad and crossed into the territory of just being bad.
The blonde friend. Oh god, the blonde friend.

I finally got around to seeing Paranormal Activity: The Marked Ones. I thoroughly enjoyed it - what's the consensus around here?

Caught The Final Girls this weekend. So much fun. Definitely recommended if you like the horror/comedy genre. It's more of a comedy, for sure, but it plays on a lot of the common tropes from 80's slasher flicks. Great cast, too.

Anybody watch "Dark was The Night"?
It's on Netflix, I didn't go in expecting much, except a good performance out of Kevin Durand (who is SO,SO good in everything)... It actually turned out to be a pretty good movie!
Part drama, part thriller, part siege movie, part horror.... plus a pretty fun "twist" ending.
Definitely worth checking out!

Let's hear some. Here's some under the radar flicks that have come out in recent years I really liked... Altered(2006) - decent low budget monster flick The Last Winter - psychological horror The Abandoned - psychological ghost movie with great atmosphere Isolation - monster flick

I'm a little late to starting my inaugural Halloween and A Nightmare on Elm Street Halloween marathons sadly.
I got the idea to do a yearly Halloween series marathon and then realised that i also have the entire NOES series on Blu-Ray as well.
Gonna start on Monday with the original Nightmare.

Have you guys seen Friday the 13th: The Game? It will be a multiplayer game where you can either play as Jason or as 1 of 7 Camp Counselors trying to survive in an open world Camp Crystal Lake. And what's better is that Sean Cunningham and Kane Hodder are helping make it. I made a post about it in the video game section with some more details and the trailer here: forum.wrestlingfigs.com/thread/327103/friday-13th-game

It's been a very long time since I have been on here. Starting my Halloween movie marathon tonight. Probably sticking to some old standards or whatever I can find on Netflix.

Doing my annual double feature of Halloween III: Season of the Witch, and Trick r' Treat.
What are everyone's favorite Halloween movies that actually take place on Halloween?

Between this incarnation of the horror thread and the original that eventually glitched, the horror thread has now existed for a decade. That's awesome! Sorry I haven't been around much but my kid keeps me occupied. Anyway, I'll try to drop in here more often.
I didn't watch a lot of horror this Halloween season. But last night I flipped on the Shout Factory Roku channel and watched Night of the Demons in the Demastered VHS style. As much as I love HD and high quality blu ray etc, it was pretty fun to watch it like this. They also have Sleepaway Camp and Day of the Dead on there in this manner. It's a pretty fun idea.

Got around to watching We Are Still Here this past weekend. Definitely recommended for a nice little twist on a 70's style haunted house story.
