In addition to the internet motive, there is belief internally that more could have been done in the past between CM Punk and Triple H. Far too much was ever done between CM Punk and Triple H.

The lame? Come on man. Triple H has accomplished more in one year than Punk has in his whole career. How many incredible matches has HHH had? What was the best match of last years Mania? Triple is a fine wine and Punk is Busch. Punk has always been really good, no doubt. But he has not delivered in the same way HHH has. Every year Triple H has an epic match, Punk slumps all the time. Anyone can win the most championships and have the biggest matches when they're Vince McMahon's son in law.

Ugh I can live with Jericho/Taker as I've always wanted to see it but HHH/Punk is horrible! Their match at NOC bored me to hell and where does that match leave the WWE title?

I really want Punk/Jericho. I guess if this prevents HHH/Taker I can wait for Punk/Jericho because I would NOT want Taker/HHH for a 3rd time.. Punk facing a heel HHH could be good. I would really really want Punk to win though. I don't really want HHH to be champ again although I can't really see him not winning it if he is going to feud with Punk. Especially considering if Punk stays champ til WM and wins there he would have been champ for 5+ months and sadly WWE doesn't let their world keep their belts very long.. I think Jericho/Taker could be awesome too so I guess I like this plan they just better give us Jericho/Punk later on.

I'm all in favor of Jericho/Undertaker, but Jericho/Punk sounds perfect, too.

He headlined nearly every WM from 2000-2009. 01 he didn't fight for the title and 07 he missed but was booked to face Cena (he even said it himself). So to hell with HHH, but i still see HHH vs taker happening. This guy also has a good point and its not just HHH's WM career, Go back and watch late 02-05 and see HHH's reign of lame which includes HHH's non stop Title reigns, Hogging the spotlight, Ruining other guys pushes, Getting stripped off the Title only to win it back a month later so after he loses to Batista at WM he can go down as a 10 time Champion and failing to put over Punk at NOC (Watch the Lame HHH marks defend HHH for making Punk look strong when he just could have put him over) Plus Jericho/Punk has been rumored since last august and the match writes itself and the promos and build can go down as one of the greats in WM history, Best In The World vs Best In The World in front of the World at WM for the World Wrestling Entertainment Championship. I find it laughable that a guy who would go this deep into a rant would have the gaul to call anyone a "lame mark".

Love both of these matches. Glad to hear we may get more TriPle H vs Punk cause I thought they could have done so much more. They needed more Punk vs the front office of the WWE. I'm a huge fan of both guys, but I see Punk coming out on top.

Maybe we could have a change with Jericho winning the Rumble and instead he wants a shot at Taker, hence all the theories the Rumble winner gets a match with Taker. Just a thought which I know wont happen. Plays on the 'end of the world as we know it' quote from Jericho.

Anyone can win the most championships and have the biggest matches when they're Vince McMahon's son in law.[/quote Blah blah blah dude! I don't care who he married or who his stepfather is, if he wasn't the best ing wrestler alive none of it would matter. He delivers every damn time he's in a big match situation with a worth opponent. With the exception of the Steiner feud, his career on top has been a thing of perfection. I'd love to see somebody compare Punk's talents and accomplishments to HHH's. Punk is hot or cold all of the time. Apparently saying CM Punk isn't as good as HHH is now trolling. Maybe i should get a warning bar. Punk is a skinny little guy who cuts a good promo and has good little matches. HHH is an icon and has wrestled and tore the house down with guys like Rock, Austin, Foley, Undertaker, and Michaels. I have every right laugh at Punk in comparison. I think his ring work is mediocre at best, and he lacks any kind of a presence. Such a troll

Show me a year from both of their careers where Punk has accomplsihed more than Triple H. 2011. Triple H had a decent match with The Undertaker at WrestleMania, a great match with Punk at Night of Champions, and a pretty good match with Kevin Nash at Survivor Series. 2011. CM Punk had great matches with Randy Orton, Rey Mysterio, Alberto Del Rio, John Cena, and Triple H. Punk went from being in a failed Nexus to the number one guy in the company, surpassing John Cena in merchandise sales, becoming a two time WWE Champion, and proved he is the best promo man in the WWE. Now I expect you to spout of some nonsense and say you can't compare last year, blah blah blah...

Punk's run atop will great to hardcore fans, has not captured the imagination of the rest of the audience imo. Triple H got just as big of a pop every time he came out last year as Punk has.

How do you know Punk hasn't captured the imagination of the rest of the audience? Because you don't like him, no one else outside of the internet possibly could? I'm a fan of both but saying Punk isn't as good as Triple H is asinine. Punk is just as good as Triple H ever has been. Punk proved he can be a damn good heel and a damn good face. He proved he can go out there and wrestle a damn good match with anyone, on any day.

You have nothing intelligent to counter me with, so whatever. You have absolutely nothing intelligent to say, thus not necessitating the need for an intelligent response. And LMFAO at saying Triple H vs Taker was more important than anything Punk did, specifically MITB which was the biggest WWE moment of the year. You're delusional, no amount of "intelligent conversation" is going to fix that problem. Oh it, here we go: Triple H vs Taker wasn't even better than Randy Orton vs CM Punk on the same card. You're entire logic is built around the fact that CM Punk wasn't an Attitude Era star and didn't face guys like Austin and Rock. Which, Triple H was really, really, good, but he never actual got to the point of paralleling all time greats like Austin, Rock, Flair or HBK. He may be a legend, but he will always live in the shadow of the true top stars of the Attitude Era imo. Punk is paving his own way, and making himself the center piece of a new generation of stars, something Triple H was never able to do if you ask me. I saw them try to elevate Triple H to that level from 02-05, and I think people were put off by it. They tried really hard, but I think people legitimately got tired of seeing WWE over book and just feed other stars to Triple H. CM Punk, cut one promo and all of a sudden he was the Stone Cold Steve Austin of 2011. The only moment Triple H had that was comparable to CM Punk at MITB was his Rumble return in 02. Even then, how many 5 star matches has Triple H had? CM Punk is a better worker, unequivocally a better talker, and more charismatic guy than Triple H imo. So you continue to live on planet old school. I'm going to enjoy CM Punk leaving his mark on the annals of WWE history. And don't get me wrong, as a fan I think Triple H is awesome, I have enjoyed him to varying degrees for years, but in the all encompassing big picture of wrestling history, I'm putting my money on CM Punk being the more iconic and memorable star. But you're just completely writing him off, so you have become laughable to me.

It's been said, but I honestly think 'Taker's 20th Wrestlemania match needs to be against Kane. Have we seen it before? Yeah. Would Jericho be a better opponent as far as match quality? Absolutely. But no one has the history with Undertaker like Kane. This is a milestone match. I'm willing to sacrifice quality for emotion.
