After speaking to several sources, WZ has learned that new talk has surfaced within WWE regarding WrestleMania 28 plans.
Contrary to what has been previously reported, it appears that The Undertaker vs. Chris Jericho and Triple H vs. CM Punk are the two big matches currently being discussed.
WWE is aware that due to online reports, fans have been expecting the tentative plan for Chris Jericho vs. CM Punk at Mania, and while those plans have not been scrapped by any means, officials have discussed a creative shake-up. In addition to the internet motive, there is belief internally that more could have been done in the past between CM Punk and Triple H.
Chris Jericho and The Undertaker also provides a fresh WrestleMania match up compared to a third WrestleMania meeting between Triple H vs. The Undertaker, which as reported, has been on the table for quite some time.
Again, we can't confirm at this time that either of the above matches will take place at WrestleMania 28 but both are being heavily considered. The week of the Royal Rumble is always a big week creatively, and WWE likes to have the major WrestleMania matches in place as much of what happens at the Rumble of course feeds into WrestleMania.
Triple H is scheduled to appear on RAW this Monday conducting the job "evaluation" of John Laurinaitis.
Obviously after the Royal Rumble, plans may and should become clearer. Keep it right here on WZ as we will continue to follow this develping story.

LOVE the idea of Jericho vs Taker rather than vs Punk
I don't know how they can set this up at the Rumble though, Unless taker appears in the rumble and Jericho eliminates him somehow claiming he knew that he was coming back and he wants to end the world where Taker is undefeated.
Punk vs HHH can be done with his involvement in the Laurinaitis thing, perhaps a heel turn for the Game again.
I like the sound of this.

Either way HHH will leave WM the champion or ending the streak. ALL HHHAIL!

I'd rather see Punk/Jericho, Taker/Kane and HHH/Nash than Punk/HHH and Taker/Jericho.
There's no way HHH would ever lose to Punk cleanly especially at WM and Taker/Jericho would be a great match but what kind of a threat is Jericho to Taker's streak? A feud and a big match between these two would be better at SummerSlam in the future and Taker/HHH III would also be better at a SS so that way HHH can go over Taker without ending the streak and Punk/Jericho has potential to be in the top 3-5 WM matches of all time and have one of the best build ups of all time.

I was just thinking about this switch taking place, or maybe these have been the plans all along!
Personally i'm a huge fan of hell Triple H and would be very happy to watch him turn next monday and chase the gold again. However, i really want to see Jericho win a Rumble and be in a title match this year.
Losing to Taker would suck and ruin Mania for me all together.

Definitely don't want to see Triple H vs. CM Punk at WM. Even if Triple H was heel.

I'd rather see The Undertaker not return if he officially does retire after hitting number twenty - it'd be so wrong for him to be gone being overshadowed by The Rock and Cena.

It's been a long time since he last was a World Champion. He is 3-4-0 on WrestleMania as far as World Championship matches go. I honestly can't see why there's no way Punk would go over. Undertaker may not be the in the best shape of his career, or not be the healthiest he's ever been, but he's proved he can still put match of the year candidates, so IMO, Undertaker vs Jericho could be as good as Punk vs Jericho, not to mention that if it's not Jericho, we'll most likely have Undertaker vs Triple H for the third time on WrestleMania.

So to hell with HHH, but i still think HHH aka The Devil will be going over Taker at Mania.

It's like WrestleMania VIII all over again.
Let's hope Triple H swerves Punk and keeps Laurinaitis as Interim GM, thus turning heel.

This guy also has a good point and its not just HHH's WM career, Go back and watch late 02-05 and see HHH's reign of lame which includes HHH's non stop Title reigns, Hogging the spotlight, Ruining other guys pushes, Getting stripped off the Title only to win it back a month later so after he loses to Batista at WM he can go down as a 10 time Champion and failing to put over Punk at NOC (Watch the Lame HHH marks defend HHH for making Punk look strong when he just could have put him over) Plus Jericho/Punk has been rumored since last august and the match writes itself and the promos and build can go down as one of the greats in WM history, Best In The World vs Best In The World in front of the World at WM for the World Wrestling Entertainment Championship.

I think people were grasping at straws from the get go.....this whole Punk/Jericho feud was started by the internet because CM Punk started using the "Best in the World" catch phrase and put it on a T-Shirt and Jericho made some comments about it on Twitter while he wasn't employed by WWE.
I don't see any evidence or heard any actual credible sources within the company that Jericho and Punk will wrestle each other at Wrestlemania. This Punk angle with Johnny Ace would have to end pretty fast and really sloppy in order for Jericho and Punk to have a Wrestlemania worthy feud cooked up in 2 months.
I think Triple H should come back next Monday, turn on Punk,.... maybe get Nash involved since he'll want revenge on Triple H.
I'd love to see Punk and Nash team up to beat Triple H and Johnny Ace at wrestlemania.

Honestly Punk vs. HHH will be horrible especially if it means HHH wins the rumble. Punk needs to face the Rumble winner and it needs to be someone on the cusp of being a main-eventer ie. Sheamus, Barrett etc.

Said this a lot of late, but I'm happy not knowing for a bit longer. Whether we get Jericho/ Undertaker, Jericho/ Punk, Punk/ Triple H, Undertaker/ Triple H III, any combination of these matches sound wonderful in my humble opinion.

I love the idea of a change up with us getting Punk/Triple H and Taker/Jericho.I really didn't want to see Taker/Triple H III at all so him turn heel and facing off against Punk would be awesome and fits the bill much better as this generations "Austin .Vs McMahon" then Punk and Johnny Ace.Plus their storyline and feud in late August and September never really had a finish or got off the ground.
As far as Taker/Jericho it not my ideal pick sense I still want to see Taker/Orton but its a close second. It give Jericho what could be his biggest match to date and with Takers age in heath could produce the best in ring match up.
Now this doesn't mean I don't want to see Punk/Jericho sense I really due a believe that to be a dream match but maybe now the can hold off on that until SummerSlam to give that PPV a huge match up or depending on Jericho's staying around for awhile until Wrestlemania 29.
John Cena .Vs The Rock The Undertaker .Vs Chris Jericho CM Punk .Vs Triple H-WWE Title
That's one hell of a triple threat main event.Throw in a world title match up between Sheamus and Bryan,Orton/Barrett in a grudge feud,The Rhodes brothers going at it for the IC Title and a MITB match up and on paper you have one of the strongest WM to date.

I think he obviously beats Dolph Ziggler at the Royal Rumble....but having him win the Elimination Chamber and staying Champion for 2 more months with his only real feud right now being against Johnny Ace? I don't see it happening. If CM Punk is in a title match at Wrestlemania, it will be as a challenger, not the Champion.

Why is everyone working themselves up for something that hasn't happened yet? Nothing is official yet other than Rock/Cena. Speculating things that Hunter is going to do this or that isn't fair, let's not jump the gun yet.

Triple H vs Punk and NOC was actually quite good, a rematch at Mania would be no different.
CM Punk doesn't deserve to ever go over the game though, Triple H is the real best in the world. Fact.
